@@philippealexis "Not mountain enough" is oddly the reason why this ended up here in the first place. The original proposed venue was Weald Country Park near Brentwood, but after feedback from riders at the Beijing test event in 2007, the UCI changed the specifications for an Olympic course to ensure the elevation drop between highest and lowest point was greater. This would have meant lots of artificial contouring at Weald, which was out of the question, so a new venue had to be found.
One of the commentators mentions what a hot day it is! 18c is hot to him? Really??? This is cool weather for me. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida where it 32c or hotter every day from June -September.
I live in Malaysia where on average the temperature is about 37C to 40C occasionally. 18C is like living in the hilly places even the hilly places are warmer than that.
Hi Carl, it is not against the rules to carry your bike instead of riding it. MTBikers carry or push their bikes frequently in really rough terrain (although not usually by choice).
i'm still waiting for 2016, if you can upload please do it asap.
Rio 2016 please!
post Rio 2016 !!!
This course was so hard they had to alter it for general public use as there were so many bad accidents
I am an essex local and often ride at Hadley
At first blush, something about this course makes it not feel 'mountain' enough. Instead, the green grass and sandy curves say 'mini-golf'.

Mark Messier yeah they’re British. Here we barely get 18C only on good summer days or heatwaves.

Would this incident involving Gould being blocked have some disqualifications for carrying the bike besides riding it?
