    Very nice. Jeff Frank was extremely quick to get back to me today on a quote for a jib and I'm about to pull the trigger on your machine, a kit, and the doo-dads to fix up my old 150. Thanks very much!

    Is the rule of thumb for leach hollow the same 1.5% - 2% for a hank on sail?

    Good job. Check out how to tie two half hitch knot, sorry to be picky.

    Could you install vertical battens instead og making a curve?

      If you recut the sails leech putting in a hollow of 2% of the edge would be best. You can choose to cut a straight leech as opposed to hollow then you do need to add vertical battens in the leech edge to support the extra material. In my opinion adding vertical battens as to achieve a straight leech and save the area that would be cut out if you hollowed the leech out properly is not worth the cost or effort but it can be done.

    Is that a HP11c you have there? Lost mine 15years ago and it is sorely missed.

    Would you normally sew in a sacrificial UV cover since this is a furling sail?

    • @SailriteDIY
      @SailriteDIY  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a sacrificial cover would be installed or a genoa sleeve pulled over the rolled up sail. Like what is seen here: th-cam.com/video/PxxBTkov8CE/w-d-xo.html

    I love that loft work table you have. Is it cork top with a clear finish? I noticed you're not afraid to stab awls through it so I'm assuming it's somewhat self healing.

      The loft table is a Phillocraf product. You can find them here: Phillocraft.com we coated the top with polyurethane varnish. It is not self healing.

    Clean up threads easily by rubbing with a white pencil eraser ....
