You always notice how in every scene Gaunter O'Dimm is just a little larger and taller than everyone else.

Funny. He always seemed shorter to me. I like to think that would make his appearance a bit more deceptive.
He is like 100kg for sure. They are smaller than him. He is a bit taller too, you can notice when he looks at Olgeird near the end of his appearance.
i don't think that he's necisarilly taller than anyone, but the camera angle is always viewing him from a lower angle. sort of implying how gaunter looks down on everyone he's talking too

More interesting when you fight him; he's tough, but you get a better introduction into his immortality.

its one of the hardest boss fight and only boss fight that is human in game.Shame it doesnt give any reward he was just hard to kill.

I love CDPR’s use of tiny details. The man Olgierd’s gang is executing is the guy they were actually celebrating when you arrive. And if you decide to not fight Olgierd, you learn it’s because he killed the lord of the manor, likely because he was excited to try out his new saber that was the cause of the celebration to begin with
He is also the one that harrasses the woman serving the wine and is the "daughter of the lord of the house"

Here’s a theory; Olgierd was low key friends with Radovid some time ago since he was Redanian nobility, and somehow connected him with Gaunter. Radovid wished for tactical and strategic skills greater than any other, but it eventually cost him his mind.
Dunno why but I find Olgierd a very interesting character :O

@BONESAW IS READY I don't get the reference behind your name, but I'm guessing if you actually used a bonesaw for a little more than posturing you'd know that the hypothalamus and brainstem control the autonomic nervous system and other involuntary functions. The spoon was pushed through the eye and straight in to the back of the cranial cavity, very likely missing both of these areas. If lucky, the guy died a few minutes later from blood loss; otherwise it was probably from an infection later on. @Raven Wolf is right.

I just noticed that Gaunter literally teleports out of the ether as Geralt walks past the tree. Another small hint that Gaunter is way more than he appears to be on the surface.

The first time I saw Olgierd's - I was like "Hey that's Beckham"

I can relate
Because I didn't fight him, I felt more sympathetic towards his life choices and suffering he has been through. I chose to save him in the end because he didn't deserve to die. If I fought him, I wouldn't have known that the guy who was beheaded killed the landlord which is why he was punished. Saving a killer unknowingly to avoid further bloodshed would have been worse. I love this game.
I learned to always ask more questions from trying to get the guy who screwed Pricilla up, in my ending I didn’t get the real killer.
Olgierd said that he knows that death is nothingness... but then again, he never experienced true death, did he? Gaunter made sure that he was stuck in a limbo at the most.
and he is quite wrong anyway, in the witcher world souls, ghosts and gods actually exist, prooving that there is something beyond death

@@AveragePersonaFanAndOrdem Gaunter could probably be called a god. Not GOD, but a god. He’s definitely not of that world. He’s been likened to the kind of Eldritch gods from Lovecraftian fiction, which is to say he is absolutely the last person you would ever want to fuck with.
Interesting how Gaunter often holds his hands in the conspiratorial Illuminati diamond hand gesture.
Love the part where Gaunter'O Dimm walks in the scene to show who REALLY is the boss. An immortal bandit and legendary witcher aren't going to stop that.
After finishing this questline I was too terrified of master mirror to ask him for anything. Only for my buddy to tell me I missed out. Got to say that the Witcher 3 had really really good writing. Really wish there where more games with well written storylines.
I like this scene its great foreshadowing to the ending decision spare the morally compromised man or let him be consumed by the powers he invited
I agree with the foreshadowing observation although I don’t think Olgierd is that much of a morally compromised man, especially in the world of the Witcher and as far as moral standards go in the medieval world.
Him making a pact with Satan also happened during the lowest point of his life (O’Dimm mentions Olgierd was living on the streets, wearing torn clothes and severely undernourished; no one in that state is in their right mind to make any life-impacting decisions ever) so I would chalk the root of the entire disaster to O’Dimm. He was the bad one for exploiting Olgierd and his situation, knowing that Olgierd will most likely accept his “help”.

lmao I was writing a fanfic about a character who was semi-immortal (Not aging and can't get diseases) and he was bored and lonely so he became a warrior so he could have a chance at finally dying. Then this DLC came out D:

I've watched this outcome 2 times and still didn't get it.
Now I do. He is one of the band of ruffians at the start and he killed the manor owner.
I thought he was the manor lord and that they had killed him and set the manor on fire (which is understandable seeing the daughter's reaction).
I'm kind of surprised Master Mirror didn't dickishly consider his request to fuck off and only work with him through his designated proxy one of the 3 requests.

Guys I am a little bit confused. I have just finished the game for my third time, however, I realised one thing... Why am I supposed to fulfill 3 wishes of Olgierd? I mean, shouldn't there be only one wish left, since he has already asked for immortality and restoring his wealth?

@@nikfaroukezra9280 Actually, when he asked for the second wish, "living like there's no tomorrow", gaunter gave it to him literally and gave him immortality so that he could live everyday like there's no tomorrow.
