I loved this for sure. The only game where Stego will be the herd leader for kento or Trike will be herb leader for other ceratop. Not to mention all the dinosaurs have unique behavior when they see carnivores. All of them can attack together!
I still have Jurassic Park Operation Genesis for PS2, I got it from my aunt about 12 years ago, the DVD still works today, It's a great game, it's easy to play with the PS2 controller 🎮
I managed to pick it up in CEX for £5 for the pc version. I actually was looking for it and didn't expect to find it. I need a cd reader for the disk before I can play it though
I still have a ps2. Im planning on buying a copy if I ever come across one. I seen some online but I plan on checking local pawn shops first and see if I can find one cheaper.
I never played JPOG, but probably would have loved it as a kid. It was nice to hear how fondly you remember the game, even the parts you didn't enjoy. Thanks for sharing!

I wish they'd remaster, or even remake, this for modern consoles. I'd be all over it because I'm sad that I never got to play it. . . .hell, make JWE3 just a remake of this or something. idk lol
Now this was a great game. Obliviously Jurassic World Evolutions would follow suit years later. But Operation Genesis is still impressive to this day. Heck, I actually think it does something better than Evolutions ever did or could: Being able to create a full on Site B Island.
Taking me back here man, thanks for making me feel old. hahaha. Man this game is definitly in my top 4 of old favorites id spend school weekends just playing this
No jurassic or dino park builder game can awoke same feeling to me as this game did when i use to play this game. there are so many things this game did right that even the modern games like evolution games and even prehistoric kingdom isn't able to do yet...the dinosaurs behavior, background music, tropical environment ambient sounds , dino sounds, weather and all. evolution games and prehistoric kingdom dino models looks more realistic and better ( especially for Pk, not all Evolution dino models are better than JPOG in my opinion though) but they lack realism in their personality some how. and to be honest JPOG models are more exciting at that time when i use to play it . this game will always be special for me. and i am trying to get the same level of enjoyment and excitement that i had playing JPOG with Evolution games and PK but i m not getting it.
I would watch JPOG videos from Gaming Beaver and Bestinslot RELIGOUSLY. And when I got my first computer I worked all kinds of chores to earn money to buy a copy of the game. Fun fact about me: I share a birthday with this game (March 10)
This game was such a fun time I remember I had it for my pc and then also got it for my xbox. Me and my friend would race to see who can get the 5 stars 1st. My fav Dino in the game was the acro
It still baffles me how this game had better dinosaur ai then the initial jurassic world evolution, jopg has the pack chasing, raptors climbing fences, raptors jumping on their prey, ton of stuff
The only JP park builder game I've ever had nostalgia for was the crummy phone game as a kid. I wish I would have known about this game way earlier in my life, thank the "high seas" for gifting it to me.
Something I wish they did In JPOG - Have a rollercoaster that you could build. I wish they did the same for Evolution. Also the fact that JPOG had the air balloon rides and evolution hasn't done that is just upsetting. The air balloon was always my favourite part of a JPOG park
Yeah I literally played my PS2 version only a few months back, it’s a timeless classic, wish we got a PS5 rerelease, with trophies, but have the pc version, as the ps2 version restricted you to 3 dig sites per park, while the pc and Xbox version you could use all 9 per park.
In pc version you can modified the game by file on documents(depends where's you put the game file). Like starrting money, max limit(shop, attraction, fence, entrance), open all dig site and get all dinosaurs, max limit on visitors and dinosaurs, even you can make everything is free(change build price to 0), and dinosaur status(health, life-span). And also have in game cheat, for make the game easier. Only work for Operation genesis mode.
I remember when I had this... back in the day.. staying up all night doing the exercises and missions just to do the site B . And I did.. went to bed at 6... got up at 6.30 cus I forgot I was going out that day 🙃
I use to play it a lot on PS2 and was sad that the game was limited to 3 dig sites. Also, the disc was a blue bottom CD ROM format disc which were infamous for not working well. So the game booted only half the time. Was very sad. Other than that, yes, I also have a nostalgia for Pachy and Alberto because they are the two first dinos I created and I love The Lost World as a kid. I remember playing JWE for the first time a racing to get to Pena so I could get Pachy but was sad when I realized Alberto wasn’t in the game yet.
I never owned the game and now it's way too old for me to get into it. But I can understand the nostalgia. Is there a Jurassic World-era species you really miss not having in the vanilla JPOG?
Another major feature missing in evolution, if I remember correctly ( i was 13 when i played the shit out of jpog) is the ability to use lethal rounds in the helicopter.
JPOG Was Awesome, i Played it ALOT on my PC same with Zoo Tycoon 2 and also a Fun fact i Acutally also used the Models from that Game for Previz, Twice actually, one time was for a Project called Eggs a Spec-Evo Short flim and my 2nd most viewed video as well as for Jurassica Safari Park, Likely to do it agian. Still tho JPOG was Fire.
I loved this game but hated the natural disasters. I remember leaving the game running while I was asleep literally gambling that I’d just have a lot of money. I’d always come back with angry Mr Arnold
I just don’t understand how this game has aspects and features far superior than what we got in both JWE1 & JWE2..
because jwe1 & 2 are copies of this awesome game !!!!
What features?? Both JWE games are far superior to JPOG, it’s the nostalgia clouding your mind.
Because older is better ❤

The in game background music is so calming and relaxing that you can actually use it for sleep when you have insomnia.

NOSTALGIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game looks so cool and so unique for it's time, really a great game!
OH MY GOD THE NOSTALGIA
I spend hours and hours on this game almost 20 years ago😂
Such a nostalgic game, I've got it on my laptop but the laptop is knackered. Originally had it on the first Xbox. Such a good time to be a kid!
This game was such a HUGE part of my childhood and I go back and play it on my PS2 every now and then
I wasn't expecting gameplay on that channel, but that totally incredible !,i sadly haven't experienced that game but it look good
I remember buying the game in 2003 in my hometown I was sat in Burger King waiting to go home and play it.
I had it for PC on CD ❤
I remember watching this video game on TH-cam back in the day
JPOG is a certified hood classic, so much nostalgia
Technically, the oldest JP building game was on the Gameboy advance in 2001's JP3: Park Builder. Operation Genesis was 2003
Indeed, I still play it emulated till this day!
This is the best JP game. I thoroughly enjoyed it for 1000s of hours, never got old. I might start playing again.

Such a great game, I'm no speed runner but I could get a 5star park in like an hour. Was super happy with myself back in the day.
The music is the best thing about this game!
I had operation genesis for the ps2. I loved that game
Jurassic Park 3 Park builder actually predates this, but it was a GBA title and not as good or widely played.
Man I loved this game as a kid brah
The mods are still reviving this old gem
Isnt Jurassic Park 3: Park Builder older? 🤔
I had this game years ago, it was so much fun
All of the sounds on this game, omg!
I remember wanting this version instead of Jurassic world evolution 1 and not being about to play
wow didn't even know JP had old school park building game.
I also used to "wait" for Mr. Arnold to come back from the soda machine. 😅
GOATed game. Still have it on PS2 somewhere.
I LOVED this game growing up.
The FPS was… lacking, the park building on the other side.
The version of the game on PS2 only had 3 of the dig sites unlockable. The Xbox version did have 5 though.
2:48 wish they did that for newer games
IT looks really good for a 2003 game
The only JP park builder game I've ever had nostalgia for was the crummy phone game as a kid. I wish I would have known about this game way earlier in my life, thank the "high seas" for gifting it to me.
I never knew this existed but now I think it'd be so much fun to play!
No no no no no -the first words we heard in the video 😂
What a nostalgic surprise
This game is surprisingly similar to the modern JW Evolution games.

Best on PC was changing the max dino numbers in th config files and make herds of herbivores. So good.

To get rid of the strange bug in the walking animations, run the game at 60 Fps or lower.
I loved my old dino mma cage.
Love music when the trex came out❤
Going back to operation genesis that's both old school and nostalgic.

Best part was the island generator all I want in the new game is this
To me this is soo much better than JWE, only thing was the limited number of spieces which you could fix with mods

I want this game, but I wasn't born for the time
Hmmm, some of these features like a customizable island would be great for Evolution 3. (But also having the whole island)
Will you make more Jurassic what ifs please?
I love miusic and sounds of this game, they are much better than JWE or its just my nostalgia.
I played this game on the Play station two
Brah i never got the spino in this as a kid now as an adult I need to find it in amongst all my old stuff and play it
i still play this....alot, something ive noticed though on my old laptop game runs perfectly but on my new gaming pc i cant fly the helicopter

I also couldn't do that mission and unlock Site B mode. I got a cheat disk for the PS2 for a different game and I was able to play it.
