I do not quilt but I am intrigued!! I want to put designs on my shirt pocket or on the yoke of my shirt. I love the video, I am convinced I need to buy a darning foot!!! Thanks for the video🙂🙂
Wow 😳 you are so talented!!! You banged that big chunk of quilting out in no time and made it look so easy and effortless. That’s how u know you’ve mastered something is when u make it look easy. So beautiful 😍
This was amazing! I had no idea I could quilt so easily with a sewing machine. I once made a queen-sized quilt completely by hand because I thought that's how you have to do it and I have been avoiding quilting anything else ever since because I didn't have the time. This gives me hope and inspiration!
Wow, I just watched your video and experienced “freestyle”. I am looking to quilt the back of my daughter’s “mommy” quilt for nursing and you gave me many ideas. Thank you.
I've taken three of your Craftsy classes and by far, this video helped me the most. You made it look so easy. So I put foot to pedal and dived into that border I'd been avoiding and guess what? I Did It!!! Whoo-Hoo. Even the pebbles. Yes, I practiced first but what you've given me is confidence to just dive in and get it done. Thanks girl. You were just what I needed.
Angela, you really inspire me to try different free motion w uilting. I really appreciate you emphasizing echoing and your confidence in your viewers to succeed. Thanks for all the tutorials.
My girl and I were looking at making a baby blanket for a good friend of mine but she said I don’t know how to do batting or how they do that. This video you showed us was amazing and made it clear. I can’t thank you enough, I’m sure she thanks you too😁
Angela, you are one of the most fascinating people to watch in all of the quilting process. I remember you saying that everyone starts out the same, needing a LOT of practice. I have read a lot of these comments and feel better knowing I am not alone. I have bought some of your rulers for a home machine and need to work on that which may help with the nerves of free motion to go away. Thanks so much for your continued support, great bubbly personality and your time.
Watching you fmq is like watching Bob Ross paint. You start with a blank canvas and a beautiful image magically appears. Not only are your tutorials/videos magical but also inspiring. Keep up the good work.
You never stop amazing all of us. I learn sooooo much from you, not just here, but on Craftsy, your books and dvds. Thank you for the quilt along, I signed up. I do wish those of us that DO NOT do facebook or other social stuff could post our pictures by email, a thought for you my dear. I just watched this and noticed you have no pins. How do you baste your quilts when quilting on home machines??? Thanks for everything you share with all of us, we can NEVER get enough of you! What a blessing your are.....hugs to you. Claudia
Fantastic video, Angela -- Here I was thinking I should be as quick on my domestic as you are quilting on the longarm (or as fast as it looks in the other videos) -- thank you for slowing the stitching down a bit here. Looking forward to your quiltalong!
Quilting is my therapy also, but the free motion quilting causes me to need therapy. I’m working hard at it tight now, hoping for more fluidity. I struggle with my hands and feet being in sync, but that’s getting better too. Thank you for keeping it fun! And for stretching us!
I’ve been quilting for almost 4 years now. Your videos are the best. Someday, I hope to have the eye-hand coordination you have. My stitches are all different sizes, but it’s ok. The quilts are still fun to do and the recipients seldom notice😉. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I'm just beginning this quilting...man it's hard, but you make it look so easy and smooth💕I'll keep practicing and practicing and practicing.....Thank you for your videos so much. Your work is Gorgeous!!!!
I was trying to figure out what to quilt on a lap quilt and came across your Pebbles, Swifls, etc. video. Just what I needed! I have your Free Motion book and have used a lot of those designs, but haven't mixed them up very much. Your demo made it look easy, so I am going to go for it. I have used the hooked swirl a lot as well as a few of the other designs in that book. Thanks so much!!!
You make quilting look easy but I have realized that when I practice I feel more comfortable. I thought that the quilting should be very uniform and the same using different designs only in certain blocks I love the relax way your teach thanks Well off to see if I can relax and do some quilting on the pile of quilts waiting for me. If only I could quilt faster. Lol
Dear Girl, I hope you are feeling better. Thank you so much for this new series for those of us who follow your every move. This is really great, so clear and easy to follow, so ANGELA!
I’ll be going through many bolts of fabric before I reach your level of brilliance! You just seem to glide over the fabric and your curves are round whereas mine are jagged when I’ve had a go at it. You make it fun to watch which inspires me to keep trying. Thanks again!
Thank you, Angela! This is just what I needed this snowy morning in Western NY, as I attempt to fmq my granddaughters baby quilt! Thank you for all of your help!
Hi Angela, you're great! I love all your videos and books! Learned so much from you. Thanks so much for offering the new FMQ Challenge. I will definitely be quilting along with you and am looking forward to it! Your're the best!
Angela you make it look so very easy!!!!! love your tutorials, each and every one!!!! Have a great day. Just received Slim and Squiggy today. Gonna start to practice. and practice.
Am I correct in thinking the more stitches on a quilt, the stiffer it Is? You blow my mind with your designs. Keep teaching us, we might just get it! Thank you.
Just started quilting. Learning a lot with your videos. I have a question, what if I ran out on bobbin thread in the middle of free motion quilting? Can you show us on TH-cam please.
I really appreciate your videos. They are practical, informative and funny too. When you stitch in the ditch to get to a new place, avoiding stopping and starting, do you worry about how the quilt back might look? Like not every block getting stitched in the ditch?
Добрый день! Огромное Вам спасибо за Ваши мастер классы...У Вас очень красивые изделия...Еще раз большое спасибо за то , что делитесь своим опытом...УДАЧИ!!!
Love your videos! Question: when you start quilting on a sewing machine, do you start in the middle of the quilt & work outward like with hand quilting? Or start at one end like long-arm?
Love this tutorial will be trying it out .And must do some with the rulers . Still a bi afraid to machine quilt ,have been making quilt tops for years but don't always get round to Quilting them.😁😎😉
Hi Angela I am a beginner quilter. I have a quilt top that’s ready to put batting and backing, now when I do free motion machine quilt do I have the backing side up? or the quilt top up. I would like to know which is the best way. Thank you so much, I love watching your videos. I like to hear your response. Have a great day,😀
Hello Angela, I just thought of something you could teach us newer quilters . How about a jelly Roll quilt , how do you quilt all the lines and lines ? Sure would love to see your ideals . Thanks again .
Love love love this! I will conquer this ... Thank you for being so willing to share your knowledge and experience! You are much appreciated for your kindness to us fellow quilters!
Angela, do you start off with any kind of a general design in mind before you start quilting? Here it seemed like a quilt on the fly style, where you decide as you go what to quilt where.
Does this kind of improv quilting get easier the more you do it? I find myself feeling brain-exhausted after quilting even an 18" pillow cover this way, from trying to figure out what to quilt next. Love ALL of your tutorials, by the way; thanks for sharing!
Since nobody answered you, I will. It doesn't usually come with the machine - it's called a darning foot or a free-motion foot. They're pretty cheap on Amazon. I think I paid ten bucks for mine?
Good Evening from cool and rainy Florida! This is a great video. But, when I did free motion quilting on a panel quilt I was doing, the front looks gorgeous, but the back has a huge pleat! What am I doing wrong? And how do I fix the pleat? Thanks in advance!

Angela, you are amazing! Thank you for remembering those of us on domestic machines! This is greatly appreciated!
This was amazing! I had no idea I could quilt so easily with a sewing machine. I bought two quilting feet for my Bernina. One is for ruler work. The other for free motion. Can’t wait to get started!
I just finished quilting a queen size quilt with swirls & echoes! It looks fabulous! Thank you for your tips & tutorials 🤗
Angela, you really inspire me to try different free motion w uilting. I really appreciate you emphasizing echoing and your confidence in your viewers to succeed. Thanks for all the tutorials.

i think she said she spray-bastes with fusible basting spray.
Angela, I have much more confidence in free motion quilting since I have been following our classes. Thanks for sharing your wonderful skills.

Wait this is done freehand? I had no idea! I thought these were like a setting or something lol. Wow I am impressed.
Awesome. Glad to see it on a regular machine!
You make this so easy
Am I correct in thinking the more stitches on a quilt, the stiffer it Is? You blow my mind with your designs. Keep teaching us, we might just get it! Thank you.
You're really good. I am an artist and I still can't do machine designs. I need to learn how to make free hand designs on quilts!
Thanks for all the videos. It is helping me become a free motion quilter. I use my sewing machine.
You do such a lovely job!
Glad to join you from St Louis
How fun! The designs look really pretty together!! Thank you for showing us this! Can’t wait to do the quilt along also!
Just started quilting. Learning a lot with your videos. I have a question, what if I ran out on bobbin thread in the middle of free motion quilting?
Can you show us on TH-cam please.
Great video Angela! I lovethe long arm and domestic machine tutorials. Really enjoying the focus on quilting.
I love how you change up with the quilting designs but stay consistent. Does that make sense? Lol I love watching your videos!
I really appreciate your videos. They are practical, informative and funny too. When you stitch in the ditch to get to a new place, avoiding stopping and starting, do you worry about how the quilt back might look? Like not every block getting stitched in the ditch?
Wow Angela you are fantastic

I cant believe you are doing this randomly! You are amazing! How did you learn how to do this?
Thank you Angela.
So nice your workout.
Have a great day,😀
I love watching you and seeing your talent creating interesting pieces. Great work.
Hello Angela,
I just thought of something you could teach us newer quilters . How about a jelly Roll quilt , how do you quilt all the lines and lines ? Sure would love to see your ideals . Thanks again .
You make it look so effortless!! Beautifully done as always!!
Love it - as always you're so inspirational. I'm getting much better now, more fluid and am loving the ideas. Thanks for all you do!
So helpful!! Now Im anxious to try larger negative spaces
This looks so easy on a small practice swatch, but what about maneuvering a big quilt?
Thank you so much for showing us. It really helped.
You make it look easy!!
You make it look so easy but then it was on a small piece of fabric, how easy is it on a large quilt
Great stuff🏆🥇🎆✨🌈💡🕯🔎Bless you an family for taking your time for this video you are awesome 📣
what drives the density of the quilting on a quilt? Should the quilting always be tight or should it be spaces out so the quilt is more flexible?
This foot sawing machine we can use all kind the sawing machine right or just only special machine
Thanks so much for the great video and much improved camera angle!
I just Love your quilting!
Love love love this! I will conquer this ... Thank you for being so willing to share your knowledge and experience! You are much appreciated for your kindness to us fellow quilters!
Very nice feeling
Excellent. I learned so much. What machine is that?
Angela, do you start off with any kind of a general design in mind before you start quilting? Here it seemed like a quilt on the fly style, where you decide as you go what to quilt where.
We need some merch 😄
"Echo, echo, echo"
"Put a swirl on it"
"Gotta have my quilting juice" 🍷
Just some ideas 😂
Randa Wikoff my quilting juice is clear, I hope that doesn’t matter.
Does this kind of improv quilting get easier the more you do it? I find myself feeling brain-exhausted after quilting even an 18" pillow cover this way, from trying to figure out what to quilt next. Love ALL of your tutorials, by the way; thanks for sharing!
Does the round presser foot come with the machine or it’s bought separately?
Since nobody answered you, I will. It doesn't usually come with the machine - it's called a darning foot or a free-motion foot. They're pretty cheap on Amazon. I think I paid ten bucks for mine?
@@jsalyersarts thank you soo much J!
Are you using a ruler foot and not a free motion foot? Loving these tutorials, thank you.
Good Evening from cool and rainy Florida! This is a great video. But, when I did free motion quilting on a panel quilt I was doing, the front looks gorgeous, but the back has a huge pleat! What am I doing wrong? And how do I fix the pleat? Thanks in advance!
Those are beautiful, do you have any luck quilting a larger quilt on a home machine? Any tricks or tips for managing all of the extra fabric bulk?
Goodness, brilliant girl, this is great, thanks💪💪❤
Hi Angela, do you use the BSR.
Is there any reason for using different kinds of quilting foot? I like the one you are using in this video. But I only have the different one.
what machine are you using in this video?
Love this! Awesome idea! Can't wait to start!
Angela, love you videos! What about uniformity with the quilting. Do you plan it out or just go with it.
This is AWESOME!
Can you use different color threads for different blocks?
How do you know when your down bobbins doesn't have no more thread and it will be time to replace it?
What kind of foot is that on the machine? and do you have to drop the feed dog?
