As a woman I can also relate to preferring compliments that acknowledge the hard work that went into developing something or doing something over compliments that just point out ways I was genetically blessed. I work hard and want people to see that, it is much more validating.

Oh my gosh I can imagine all these terrible interactions Jared has to have because of his career and it’s amazingly annoying😂 I remember when I was in the thick of wedding planning and my soon to be father in law suggested that I have a flower arrangement next to this sign that was going to sit outside our reception (meanwhile I am literally DIYing the flowers) and I actually almost lost my mind at this suggestion.
