It is what really won me over in this game, who knew making music from a human skull was what actually turned my music side on inside my brain. Thus the name “INSIDE” I guess
you spend the entire game going down, deeper into the earth, you discover your lil sub and think oh yes, im safe now, you start breaking through things and growing confidence, then you break through those planks and you're struck with the sheer orchestral scale of the place you're in. You feel s o. v u l n e r a b l e.
I will forever remember the feeling I felt, the first time I experienced this moment. The sickening, haunting, quite literally tear inducing --- yet outstandingly BEAUTIFUL feeling. I cannot put it adequately in words. This moment truly touched me like no other experience has -- I cannot quite put my finger on it.
Yea, same here , I just keep playing the music and sometimes the walkthrough video of this scene at work during the day :).In love with that submarine!!!!
Inside truly is a masterpiece. No game has ever been stuck in my head for this long as inside. Some games I might be into for months and maybe even a year but Inside is something else. It’s not just a game, it’s an experience I will forever love. Playdead, what you guys do is beyond this world.
agreed. you should play the souls series. those games arent just hard games. they are on par with inside and sometimes, very rarely, even surpasses it when it comes to amount of pure emotion it can give you. some of the saddest, most desolate moments in gaming are in the soulsborne series. dark souls 1-3 and bloodborne still are stuck in my head to some minor extent. same with inside freakin six years later. in a way, these games are similar. they portray such a raw, hopeless silent atmosphere accompanied by some of the most heart wrenching and beautiful music. i cannot wait to see what playdead do next.
Dark Beautiful Ambient One of my favoutite genres of themes for any book, film, TV show, Game or Manga.. This game achieved all three moods so beautifully.
i fall asleep most nights with this in my headphones. indescribable. i'm so in love with this game's score, and this track in particular- thank you so much for posting extended versions
I thought I was the only one. I always fall asleep to it playing. I also like to listen on a cold winters night while outside smoking, watching the snow silently fall. Looking at the dead trees, the brutalness of it all. This song captures those moments very well
The moment the submarine breaks the barrier its like the moment I was born into this dark world the moment as a child i became aware of my surroundings and faces...alone for eternity, no one here is gonna help me.
If you like this video game's music and atmosphere, I recommend to you, the Danish film Cutterhead. The soundtrack was created by the co-composer for Inside.
@@MultiNatla I looked into the film, I have to watch it in pieces. It's quite terrifying and claustrophobic. I had to pause after the bit where she blew her eardrum. Great sound work indeed. Definitely looking forward to playdeads next game. Wonder when it will come out and what it will be called. Nothing on steams website yet, only rumors on the internet.
So many years and I still come back to this every now and again when I feel alone.. Or down.. I don't know why but it makes me feel at ease.. Emotional and nostalgic at times but peaceful.. Terrifyingly beautiful...
you know, this game really was a catalyst for me to make some truly important life decisions when I was 17. Not directly responsible, but must have had a subconcious influence.
Somewhere deep under water there is my home. It's dark and cold there. But it is my home, I can feel it. I'm tired of pretending. Talking to people, making friends and connecting with others was a mistake. A desperate attempt to put me where I don't belong. Even around friends and family I am alone. I'm nothing to them and they are nothing to me. It's probably time to get back to my home
People really underestimate how much a soundtrack can impact a game.
and movie
Can confirm.
limbo is so quiet lol
Was that a pun intended

me too
I slept on it with headphones countless nights.
This music was made with a human skull, that's why it make it so different

Welcome to the void.
it may be relaxing, but let's not forget that most of Inside's soundtrack was recorded via human skull
From Martin Stig Andersen's skull to a dead skull to ours
What?

If you like this type of ambient music, check out some music from Cryo Chamber. You won't regret it.
Thank You!!!!
Thx😍

I used this for a sleep today its wonderful
If there were to be any glimpse of a gigantic creature in this shot, I wouldn't even be distracted from the music.

Still not there... Crap
Damn 30 minutes?! Perfect.
Beautiful, why isn't this released as an OST? I downloaded all these songs with a TH-cam > mp3 converter.
isso é.... inexplicável, a sensação e as imagens que vem a cabeça
I love indie games.
If you like this track, do check the soundtrack to Riven (Myst 2). Definitely similar vibes - and a masterpiece game of course.
Aaahhh!!! I thought the soundtrack sounded familiar! Glad I'm not the only one who thought this sounded similar to Riven.
it calms me down.
Is amazing the fact this track was recorded with a human skull.
Thank you so much
