He's not 77. He's 34. This song never ages. He'll never age, this song brings me back to high school with my sweetheart that became my wife listening to this. He wrote the most beautiful song ever created and stopped time.

His best rendition in my opinion. His sound is lower, with more life lived, and that fabulous hall sound. I was a late teen when this song came out, so I experienced the whole era that lasted a few years in mainstream clubs. Boz Scaggs was a sensation.

I have never enjoyed listening to a bass player as much as I have listening to the bass player in this song, he has the smoothest richest bass tone that I've ever heard of any bass player play in my entire life I would really like to know what he's playing through and that's saying a lot because I have spent hours upon hours upon hours in my life listening to music from a young person and I'm 71 years old.

The music was so much better back in the 60's and 70's!
Rap and hip-hop are hideous and a terrible influence on kids and teens because they glorify gangs, criminality, and the abuse of women.
If enough people, especially younger demographics, demand music of similar styles and quality, music companies will get the message and sell new songs of this type of music again.

Royce (Boz) and I grew up in and went to school in the same city, Dallas, back in the early 60's (although in neighboring schools). He has one of the greatest voices I've ever had the privilege to listen to, regardless of song, genre, whatever. We didn't know each other, he was a couple years older; yet I've followed his career all these many years. A true American treasure, he never over commercialized. With him it was always about the music, the poetry, the final product....the art. You know, that indefinable thing that touches our very souls.

Thanks for this wonderful song Mr. Scaggs. We're all Alone was the first ballad I got the chance to dance, with my first High School girlfriend. I still have chills, just to remember that moment. 38 years later, I still wonder where this beautiful girl is, now ?...

This song has a huge, wonderful memory for me. A girl I had a huge crush on since my freshman year in high school - an "untouchable" that I thought I'd never, ever have a chance with.....she was so beautiful. I loved her from afar for 4 years. Never even asked her out. We got together after graduation in 76. Well, the first time I kissed her was during this song when she came to see me. The entire album. I thought had gone straight to heaven. We're still very good friends. At our 20 yr High School reunion, I wrote that I wanted to see and dance with her, which I did. So, this will always be beautiful Sarah's song to me. The whole Silk Degrees album. It just warms my heart when I think of that time. Thanks Boz.
