With no TV when I was a kid, this record (along with a Star Wars Story LP) is the reason I can recite the key scenes in this movie. Listening to it now, the voice acting is amazing, especially Ian McDiarmid!
Buena Vista Records, huh? So, even in 1983, there was a connection to Disney. Blech. As bad as the prequels were, and they were bad, at least George wrote a cohesive 3-part story ahead of time, nor did he just remake the originals. I'm looking at you, Kathleen and JJ!
I must have listened to this record 500 times when i was 9. In some ways, I think listening to it is more engaging than simply watching it.
I had these records when I was a kid! The good old days :-)
I'm glad you found these. :) In case you're wondering why the original Story of Star Wars record isn't here, Fox made me take it down.
@@TrayChester01 I'm slowly picking these up again through eBay and other channels. Great memories ❣️
Thank you so much from 🇨🇦 for uploading this. I played this record so much when I was a kid. It’s now scratched up and unplayable.
I remember having the picture disc for this. Listened to it a million times.

Very good sound quality. I had these but that had that crackle, pop and hiss.
Thanks, and enjoy! Yeah, the restoration was quite a journey, but they came out great.
3:10 : "A repulsive blob of bloated flesh." Lol
Yep lol. "Story of" records had to be descriptive!
I didn’t have this as a kid. We were so poor, we had to eat our cereal with a fork to save the milk for the next one... 😳
