I used the Star Wars Intro Creator and made this title crawl video from the leaked script of what was going to be Episode IX. Until the Dark Times. Have a look at what could have been. It sure beats the hell out of the title crawl (and movie) that we got.

Finally! A version with the scream.
Biggest mistake they made on the Wall Box Set that came out a few years ago was not releasing the original studio versions of the songs from The Wall in their complete form, mainly In The Flesh? (with the longer intro), The Thin Ice (with the longer piano intro) and The Show Must Go On (with the original first verse) and of course not releasing the studio version of What Shall We Do Now? as intended for the album. Maybe in 2029 on the 50th Anniversary we'll get theses songs released or the original longer mix of the album with everything restored as well as the long sought after and desired Wall 1980 Show on Digital Video from the original Earl's Court Masters (that do actually exist).
I'm listening to a DVD rip I believe on CD and listening in multi setting and It sounds totally immersive. Don't Leave Me Now and it's labored breathing going back and forth all around. It reminds me of the claustrophobic space suit from 2001 A Space Odyssey. 😮

Merge it with the final version of Empty Spaces and you have perfection.
It's a good mix. Pity we don't have a master recording of the "clean" version (without the SFX that was on the movie). That would probably near impossible to needle out. That said, with AI technology these days, maybe one day...?

My sister got this soundtrack album for high school graduation gift in 1978 & this 33 RPM single shown here was included. It was one sided as I recall. She also bought the 45 RPM edition about 6 months earlier too.
It was the last track on my cassette of the Soundtrack. Hope to find on Amazon Music some day.
If I had my druthers,THIS would have been the version that I'd have included on the album...much darker,more sinister,and,much more fitting lyrically,with Pink's decline.

Yes, this is the "Story of" record based on the film. The Radio Dramas are totally different.

As much as I love the album version for its sheer simplicity, I agree it's somewhat of a shame this was not on the original album. It was cut in the interests of sound quality back in the good old days of vinyl.
Vinyl has a bigger market now than they did back when they were popular lol its not "old days"
@@JesusGomez-ob2qt No need to sound so arrogant. Yes vinyl has a much bigger market now, but it was a NECESSITY in the "old days", hence the exclusion of this on the album. Sound quality actually makes a difference when you arent listening on cheap Victrola players
@bran8935 my point is Vinyl is not a dying artform, it's still thriving and in the age of digital streaming its become collectors items and I don't see it dying anytime soon

Most certainly is. James Guthrie has repeatedly stated that Richard is the predominant keyboard player on the album. Yes Richard plays on the track here and the string synthesizer.
