    The biggest shortcoming of the Glock 43x and Glock 48 is the 10 round capacity. The Shield Arms S15 15 round magazines have had occasional issues, so how do the new Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger magazines perform? Are they reliable? Any issues, problems, malfunctions, jams or jamming? Or are they the best mags for the slimline Glocks on the market? They might be the best, but I did do something to ensure reliability. Check out the review to see how the PSA Micro Dagger magazines ran!

    Another great video, Bret. I was completely unaware of PSA mags. Thankyou. While I have gone back to my stock Glock mags for my 43x, I never had a failure with my Shield Arms mags. Too many people did however and for that reason I went back to carrying my 10 rounders. Gonna give these PSAs a whirl though.

Neither likes to be loaded from the slide lock release, you have to slingshot for any hope of a positive feed. I will never use them for carry. But they are useful at the range as malfunction trainers. LOL

They tell you the gen threes will NOT work with the gen 2 mag catch you need their newest one. I only use gen 2 mags and the gen two mag catch and it works fine i can lock the slide back and drop it and it chambers a round 100% of the time straight out the box (not even lying don't care what you say god knows im not lying and so does my dead family) also anything that has moving parts CAN fail yes even glock oem mags like my 43x mag, had jams and failures to feed. There really isn't any point to carrying a higher capacity magazine as a backup. The extra capacity comes at end, not at the beginning of the reload. Unless you live in Israel do really expect to expend 21 rounds in a DGU? Your effective capacity is what you start out with not what you have in the spare.

    Thought I had a single shot Glock, then I came home after 50 rounds of clearing malfunctions to realize that the screws I picked up for my optic were mislabeled and a few mm longer than what I was expecting, causing the extractor spring to bind up and the claw to have no pressure on it. Good times.

    I've tried out both, SA and PSA mags. SA just didn't work for me. They're simply just not reliable for me. Too many failures. After dealing with SA customer service, I just gave up. They blamed my 43X for the failures; while OEM mags worked flawlessly. I now own 8 PSA mags and have had zero issues with them. So I'm on Team PSA on this one. I did have to clean the polymer debris that was left inside for the first six I bought, just as this video recommends. But the last two I received from PSA came extremely clean, and I had to do nothing with them. I love them so much that I now exclusively use PSA mags. The OEM's are now my backup.

    I’ve been running two PSA mags for range time in my G48. I’ve noticed when utilizing the mag fully loaded , there’s some slide tightness while racking a round . Also if you have a round chambered , drop the mag to load an additional round to run the gun at 15+1 , the mag won’t lock in without forcing it . Feed pressure from mag spring I think is too heavy . Seem to be pretty reliable otherwise . If I run 14+1 everything was nice . I’ve put about 500 rounds through them so far , not counting them out yet . Self defense wise I’ll stick with 10+1 glock stock setup !

      Yeah, mine were tight when fully loaded, but not as tight as the X-Macro 😂 I’m always hesitant to use stuff like this for self-defense but at some point I have to call it “good” As much as I want to, I can’t buy 100 of them and run them all until failure. 😂

      @scottheid9715 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@_Jashawuh from my experience that spring pressure is way to high . I believe that could have been a part of your issue as well . Mine was pretty high quality as far as internals . I did notice the bulging base plate but it didn’t slide so I think that’s ok . Also another spring pressure related issue . I’ve considered modifying that spring , probably cut one level off the length to test it out . Also with 15 in the mag and one chambered I can’t get the mag catch to lock . And with 14 in it’s still hard to rack a round . I’m definitely not ready to trust them with my families lives nor mine !

    I have 4 of these, the basepad absolutely buldges when fully loaded and I'd like to see that fixed. Out of 4 mags 3 worked flawlessly, 1 kept failing (stuck follower) opened it up and sure enough it was exactly like yours, I cleaned it up and have since put 200 rds through the "bad mag" without any issues so after cleaning the inside 4 mags all work flawlessly. The basepad still bugs me, I wish it took OEM basepads so I could just upgrade to the NDZ metal basepads.

      I was exactly like you... until I held the 43x. I was an M&P kind of guy (which I still love). I ran into a good buy on a 43x, and at about the same time, PSA released the dagger micro mags. I was looking at the Shield Arms mags but was hesitant because of having to swap the mag release and many inconsistent reliability reviews. Anyway, I bought two PSA mags and have only one failure to lock the slide back and one last round stove pipe in 200 plus rounds each. After each hiccup, I could not get it to duplicate again, so I am attributing them to break-in, ammo or possible user error.

I sent them back. After watching this video I am tempted to try the Dagger, but, why mess with perfection. My opinion, which I am sure a lot of people will disagree with is: Keep a Glock, stock.

I don't have the Glock 48 but have decided recently after extensive research, I'm about to buy one. No offense to Shield Arms, I was going to add those with my purchase but there's far too many cons being reported. I'm have a look at the PSA Micro Dagger now. Or just staying OEM. I mean "only ten rounds". Everyone knows to pack at least one spare in their bag for personal defense. At the end of the day, that's pretty basic, having larger capacity is merely getting into the "fun factor dial" target shooting or plinking.

    With new G43X Frame & G43 Slide, both new Micro Dagger magazines jam right at the bottom of the breech face as the carthridge comes up and won't fully insert or seat until the magazine is inserted at an angle towards front of the magwell. Quickly inserting the magazine almost always jam there, since there is a good bit of play in the front to back mag well as there is only metal and no plastic at the rear of the magazine to fill that gap like an OEM mag would and to allow the rear of the cartridge to clear the breach face as it is about to be fully inserted. I'm thinking that would be the same result with a G43Xupper with G43XSlide. In which case it would be a serious issue.
