@@pa.vi5739This important Estonian line is modernized. It was good time to change gauge to 1435. I cannot underestimate having all lines with the same gauge. It give possibility for train to go from one line to another.
@@robertab929 No urgent need for that as of right now and I doubt that will ever happen. The domestic train lines fulfill their purpose just fine with the 1520 mm gauge. Since the purpose of RB is to integrate the Baltics with the rest of the EU network, the 1435 mm gauge is critical in that project. I've read that the long term development plan of the Estonian Railways has a section which considers changing to 1435 mm gauge in the greater future but there are no concrete plans as of right now.
@@pa.vi5739 And this change will not happened with modernized lines. Lithuania is getting 2 lines as part of RB. At least Vilnius will be connected with Kaunas. They will be in better situation that Latvia or Estonia.
@@robertab929 well Vilnius won't be directly on the RB main route as you'd have to take a detour to get there. In Estonia's case both Tallinn and Pärnu will sit on the main route of the RB. So I'd say Estonia has the most to gain from that project while having to invest the least out of all the 3 countries.
Amazing infrastructure for such a low density region. Multiply, Estonians! 🇱🇻❤🇪🇪
Well Tartu-Tallinn line is quite important for the country. Tallinn-Pärnu will be done next alongside Rail Baltica😃
It is necessary to increase departure frequency and train speed, especially since these trains get suffocatingly full sometimes
Kas 2 osa on ka saada. Millise asukohani on kahe rööpapaariga trass?

Wait Tartu line is double track?
See vist ennem Tapat filmitud. Peale Tapat peaks vaid lõiguti 2 rööpapaari olema
@@paljusisu Peaksid olema Jäneda ja Nelijärve peatused.
1435 or 1520 mm?
1520 mm. The new Rail Baltica line will be with the European gauge.
