I have watched EVERY video (including your prior ones), and have still had problems, especially with blade, range, and slip, but I think yours is by far the best. You. are through, speak well, and have good visuals. BRAVO!!
Oh my goodness...at last a teacher that teaches a subject at a speed that I can follow and with just enough complexity that I won't be overwhelmed. Subscribed with bell ! What a brilliant channel! Thank you so much! ❤
This was a brilliant tutorial. You are such a great teacher. I was overwhelmed when I first got my Descript subscription until I found you on TH-cam and an hour later, I felt a lot more confident. Today I need to figure out the Chroma Key so that I can insert a background. Thank you Ross.
Thank you for saying so! Concerning Chroma Key, do you have an actual green screen behind you? Because if not, I recommend the Green Screen feature which uses AI to take out your background.
Completely awesome video. Thank you so much. Your teaching style is excellent and I have gone on to purchase the course and book a 90 minute session with you.
Great video Ross - as you may recall, I have done some 1-1 sessions with you in the past as well and love to follow your new videos. 1 question I have had that I have need addressed is that if I always record for the same purposes/use and want to always to the same things with a newly recorded video - is there any sort of a "Default Settings" that could be applied? For example, I always want 1440 resolution, I always remove filler words, I always to audio enhancement, but right now I need to select each of these items one a time on every new video I do - so I thought would see if you had any thoughts on this.
Hi Steve! Great to hear from you and thanks for following along. Have you tried a template? You can make a template that is 1440 and has studio sound applied and other properties. Then, you can apply it with the click of a button to future projects. Some things cannot be templatized however such as filler words, you'll have to apply that every time. The easiest way to make said template is to find a past project, right click on a scene thumbnail, and select "Save as Template."

Thank you for saying so, I really appreciate that! And you just gave me a video idea: the timeline tools! I'll do a vide soon breaking those down.
Thanks Ross. I really appreciate the clarity of your instructions. Great job!
My pleasure!

@@DescriptMastery Thank you, that's very helpful. I was using the wrong one.
Hello, lovely video. What camera gear are you using?
Thanks! I use the Sony ZVE-10 M2. Also, good lighting is key! I have two softbox lights in my office.
Completely awesome video. Thank you so much. Your teaching style is excellent and I have gone on to purchase the course and book a 90 minute session with you.
Thank you!! And thank you for buying the course and tutoring! I look forward working with you :)

I discovered you can't use Descript web on a Mac. It requires the app. I HATE Windows.
Do you mean on Safari? I have a Mac and I always use the Web Version. Just switch to Chrome or Chrome-based browser and it works great.
