God I love this anime! Erza “the red haired one” is one of my favorite anime characters in general like all these characters feel real with their struggles.
a lot of people dont like the whole "power of friendship" thing that fairy tail is built on, but it's one of my favorite things about the show. fairy tail is my comfort show. it's funny, action-packed and emotional
There is barely any "power of friendship"... That's the thing. People shit on Fairy Tail for this but there's barely any. I won't deny that they're right for the fanservice. Sometimes okay, sometimes misplaced. But definitely a tad too much. My only real problem with the anime is that they didn't really animate the fights. Most of them are just one frame with a little bit of animation in the corners to indicate that something happened but no real movement. Some fights were animated and they looked cool as fuck.
"Power of friendship" I mean having friends help beat up the bad guys is a power i guess...? Yeah i never got that argument either... Besides Natsu is powerful because of spoiler reasons so it fits
Honestly the only "power of friendship" in fairy tail I've seen is 1: with Lucy and the celestial spirits where eventually they dropped it pretty well. Especially when Aquarius' key broke. 2: Erza who's less of "power of frie dship" and more of "I have to protect them" whichyou can argue is the same thing, but this is the same way Makarov fights
To be fully fair - Fairy Tail is based on it. The love and friendship are the origins of the magic itself, the actual source of the power. So it is not as bullshit as in other series, where it isn't directly an established mechanic. And with the strongest characters - there is either the price to their powers (Lucy sacrificing the key, Dragon Slaying magic, slow demonification of Gray, Ultear not being sure about the consequences of her magic and ultimately paying extreme price for most important spells, Zeref and Mavis getting cursed, Angel paying with her life-force) OR they are born strong. Erza is literally a dragonborn eternal baby of one of the strongest female mages. Natsu is revived as a demon. Laxus has been experimented on by his father with the Dragon Heart Lacrima. Mirajane have been cursed/born with extreme affinity to Takeover magic that twisted her appearance when she was a kid. August, just August.
I really love Fairy Tail and people don’t give it as much credit as it deserve, but I’m glad Fairy Tail is coming back ☺️ Definitely one of my favorite animes out there
@@mais5131 there is a sequel manga - 100 Year Quest, about main team going on the job Gildarts failed. Its actually really good, in my opinion some of the strongest arcs in the whole series. Not only Mashima is much more chill in it and is clearly having fun with the plot and tropes, mostly because he doesn't have to focus on drawing anymore, as he went Kishimoto/Toriyama route and he only writes the story. It also expands on the romance and relationships between the characters and even brings back some very unexpected characters from early arcs. It also canonises the Eclipse Spirits Arc as well.

ahh Fairy Tail, where F stands for Friendship, Fan service, and Fillers. It's not as bad as people make it. I enjoyed it quite a lot in fact. Very easy to consume.
Fairytail was there for me at my darkest moments. I was an all point low when I found the anime and Natsu specifically he was the character i latched onto the hardest. He said this quote “ before you give up, think of the reason you held on so long.” And i just remember breaking down and crying. No matter what people this anime will always hold my heart.
Honestly same! It holds such a special place in my heart and will forever be my favourite anime series. I honestly just don’t get why so many / lots of people dislike it so much. I love seeing Fairy Tail get all the love it deserves ❤
Fairy Tail was really good, especially in the late 2000s and early to mid 2010s. It was on the level if the Big 3 and had a huge fanbase. Anyone that says that it wasnt good at all right from the start is just jumping on the bandwagon. A manga doesnt sell over 72 million copies being bad. The series has problems like other series out there, I guess people just find certain scenes more underwhelming than most series. Its still a really good show and its just fun as hell. The characters are really great as well, and the OSTs are god tier, and some of the best in anime👆🔥
the last few arcs were just underwhelming and some stuff were just annoying at a while. Also all the emotional stuff in the beginning, which made it good, all got cancelled by later arcs. So I agree. Fairy was sooo good until it wasn't

@@MultiPoken I honestly would just argue that its because everyone is much more powerful. Even in the Acnologia fight, I dont see much of a problem with it scaling wise. I do think that the way its done was okay, since he was restrained by millions of mages in the entire continent, which immobilized him and gave Natsu the chance to hit him with every ounce of the 7 dragons power. If Acnologia didnt become immobilized, then the fight wouldve been a 50/50, probably Acnologia even wins
Ignore the hate. Its an amazing adventure. Every charachter has an in depth story and there is hardly any filler (ignoring one arc) but I tell you what. If you find a issue with animation or plot development you can easily ignore it because you can't argue that the love you have for the charachters, their development and the overall world is going to stay in your heart forever.

Everyone who watches fairytail, whether it be openings or the show itself, always praises the character designs and that always makes me happy coz Hiro Mashima is still going strong with it till today ☺️ Man never runs out of ideas, it's crazy inspirational.
The worst part about those who hate on this show, is that they seem to have either never even watched it or weren't paying much attention. The main things they complain about is the fan-service, which is used canonically as either a distraction or convincing method by the characters and honestly just kinda funny, the whole "power of friendship" theme, which is stupid because magic in this world is canonically connected to their emotions so it works both ways (someone who's hateful can get just as much of a sudden power increase as someone who's fighting for love), and the idea that "nobody dies", which isn't true and honestly why would it be considered a bad thing even if they didn't (I mean seriously, what's the point of hating on an anime for just not being depressing).
I love fairy tail, but you can kinda admit the fan-service can be annoying. Imagine beating a bodyguard of an immortal person because you don't wear proper clothing
@@enigmatic2878 The main word being "CAN" be annoying. I personally wasn't bothered because I found it comedic. And the few times that it wasn't comedic, it also didn't bother me because stuff like that doesn't distract me much from whatever is going on if it's important. Edit: Also, this is anime. People just complain about fairy tail fanservice because they were looking for literally any reasons to hate on it, One Piece also had an unnecessary amount of fanservice but no one ever complains about it (probably because the animation style isn't as crisp-looking as the fairy tail girls); and there are several anime that make the girls be creeped on constantly whereas in Fairy Tail the characters all find everyone attractive and aren't actively harassing each other since they all care so much about each other instead of just pervy men who can't take a hint 24/7.

I've watched the entire series and there is so much wrong with the show I was genuinely surprised so many people love it, it has terrible writing, almost zero character development and horrible animation
No matter the divisive opinions on whether it’s a good anime or not, everyone can agree Fairy Tail has GREAT openings 😌 Just saw you actually started watching the show and I can’t want to check it out! The main reasons that Fairy Tail gets a lot of hate is because it’s very “power of friendship” at times and has a lot of fanservice. BUT STILL, it’s a really wonderful show with a lot of really great characters. The fact that it’s simple and fun doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. It’s very close to my heart and got me through a lot of rough times.
The secret to watching Fairy Tail is simple: "Just don't question it." As long as you follow it, chances are you'll love the show. If you don't follow it, chances are you'll hate it.

I can sort of proudly say that I have consumed the entire Fairy Tail anime in both sub and dub. It was a piece of work lemme tell ya that. I remember when the show took a break for a bit before the final season. Young me was so hyped for it to finally come out, since I had read the manga. I think I got into Fairy Tail back in like...2014 or 2015? Idk man it's been wild. I'm not as much of a fan as I used to be for sure but it still holds a special place in my heart, as it introduced me to anime. Love ya Fairy Tail 👆
hell yeah grand magic games arc! it’s my favorite arc of all time and i’m glad we share the same sentiments for tournament arcs lmao. it gets sooo much better i can’t wait for you guys to see it for the first time

The nostalgia this gives me is so real! 😭 I really remember enjoying a lot of the openings in Fairy Tail. @@KamisamanoOtaku i notiched because when acnologia transformed and they were supprised for the dragon. i rememebred the opening where natsu fights with igneel against acnologia. and since i didn't see them react to that i started to notice that there were a couple of them that they havn't seen.
For people who don't understand the Fairy Tail have character development not just because of the "power of friend ship" they are powerful because they went through a lot and having a purpose of that power only makes them stronger because they want to protect they're family I think that is relatable

7:35 Funnily enough Gray - the ice dude with blacn hair had the most outfits in the whole series as he has to buy new clothes every other chapter and mangaka loved to play with his designs. Anime unfortunately hasn't copied that until 2014 season, but it's notable thing. 8:35 Old man in the show - you know he is gas and he is pervy.
Fairy Tail is super comfy and that's its strength for sure, just when I dunno when to watch or feel a bit down it's always a great pick my up and makes me feel warm and nostalgic inside because of how predictable/simple (mostly) it is
Fairy tail is my most favorite anime. 5/6 years before when I watched fairy tail I was amazed [still amazed] by its story, character design, etc. But No one knew about this anime. Now I am very ☺☺ that Its finally getting spotlight.
Lucy Heartfilia is the Main Character of Fairy Tail, aside of being a Wizard she is a Writer of the book entitled “ The Adventure of Iris” w/c is her story.

Such a fire show. The show just welcomes you in and takes you on a fun ride. One of if now my personal favorite anime. It isn't even that bad just a lot of power of friendship and fanservice but I don't mind and it rarely breaks stuff
If there is one thing Fairy Tail has, it's THE tournament arc. There are some good ones out there like Boku no Hero Academia's sports festival or RWBY's Volume 3, but the Grand Magic Games of Fairy Tail still confidently stand at the top of all tournaments arcs.
they didnt do Believe Meyself, one of the last ops I believe, Power of the Dream was the first op for the final season. Just a few I think they missed nothing big tho.
i love the power of friendship thing about fairy tail, cause it was my best friend's favorite show, he got me into it. we were both troubled kids that managed to have so much fun together regardless. i've lost him to a house fire a couple years ago, since then i've grown out of anime but fairy tail is the only one that's always gonna be with me. miss you friend, no one walks home with me anymore.
I love Fairytail, I've already finnished the series but I like watching other people try to guess what's going on by just the openings. You guys missed a one or two openings including Fairytail zero, it's one of my personal favorites and is apart of the main show, most of the stuff in the end doesn't make sense without it so make sure you guys watch!😁
To me yeah there's some part kinda meh and disappointing but still overall it's good. About the "friendships" it do be ridiculous sometimes, the author do what his fans want from his previous work but then it kinda backfired. But respect to him bcs he didn't stop grinding even after FT "finished" and with all the backlash, he keeps putting out new awesome stuff
Fairy tail was one of the animes i watched when i began watching anime (10+ years ago) and up until now it's my fave. The nostalgia of watching you guys react to the openings is making me want to rewatch 🥺🖤 I don't get why fairytail is hated by some people in the anime community causebit's a great anime for me. If it's not your type of anime, don't watch it. Simple. You don't need to hate on it 🤷🏻♀️ If you liked the anime based on the openings you should definitely watch the episodes cause there's a lot more to it! With the reappearance of some characters as you've seen in the openings, enemies to friends and all that stuff. It's fun to watch 🖤
Btw that pink haired girl in 43:50 is Wendy, the cute blue haired girl that we first saw in 9:25 She's in her Dragonforce mode, that's why she looks like that.
Let’s not forget Gray and Natsu and also Ezra are very beautifully designed characters too. Fairy tail is real good in that it brings instant comfort. Watch it, you’d love it!

The main things they complain about is the fan-service, which is used canonically as either a distraction or convincing method by the characters and honestly just kinda funny, the whole "power of friendship" theme, which is stupid because magic in this world is canonically connected to their emotions so it works both ways (someone who's hateful can get just as much of a sudden power increase as someone who's fighting for love), and the idea that "nobody dies", which isn't true and honestly why would it be considered a bad thing even if they didn't (I mean seriously, what's the point of hating on an anime for just not being depressing).
I love fairy tail, but you can kinda admit the fan-service can be annoying. Imagine beating a bodyguard of an immortal person because you don't wear proper clothing
@@enigmatic2878 The main word being "CAN" be annoying. I personally wasn't bothered because I found it comedic. And the few times that it wasn't comedic, it also didn't bother me because stuff like that doesn't distract me much from whatever is going on if it's important.
Edit: Also, this is anime. People just complain about fairy tail fanservice because they were looking for literally any reasons to hate on it, One Piece also had an unnecessary amount of fanservice but no one ever complains about it (probably because the animation style isn't as crisp-looking as the fairy tail girls); and there are several anime that make the girls be creeped on constantly whereas in Fairy Tail the characters all find everyone attractive and aren't actively harassing each other since they all care so much about each other instead of just pervy men who can't take a hint 24/7.

A good chunk of it was pretty comedic too. They did use an absurd amount during moments where it shouldn't have for comedic effect, only to go back to the natural feeling

I've watched the entire series and there is so much wrong with the show I was genuinely surprised so many people love it, it has terrible writing, almost zero character development and horrible animation
I love fairy tail, never minded the power of friendship. It has everything I wanted in an adventure magic story.
No matter the divisive opinions on whether it’s a good anime or not, everyone can agree Fairy Tail has GREAT openings 😌 Just saw you actually started watching the show and I can’t want to check it out!
The main reasons that Fairy Tail gets a lot of hate is because it’s very “power of friendship” at times and has a lot of fanservice. BUT STILL, it’s a really wonderful show with a lot of really great characters. The fact that it’s simple and fun doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. It’s very close to my heart and got me through a lot of rough times.

I can sort of proudly say that I have consumed the entire Fairy Tail anime in both sub and dub. It was a piece of work lemme tell ya that. I remember when the show took a break for a bit before the final season. Young me was so hyped for it to finally come out, since I had read the manga. I think I got into Fairy Tail back in like...2014 or 2015? Idk man it's been wild. I'm not as much of a fan as I used to be for sure but it still holds a special place in my heart, as it introduced me to anime. Love ya Fairy Tail 👆

The best fairy tail opening is opening 3 imo. The song is so good and the Natsu standing up against jellal for Erza hits right in the feelings.

The nostalgia this gives me is so real! 😭 I really remember enjoying a lot of the openings in Fairy Tail. I didn't finish the series (stopped after the Eclipse arc) but it's still rather special in my heart.

7:35 Funnily enough Gray - the ice dude with blacn hair had the most outfits in the whole series as he has to buy new clothes every other chapter and mangaka loved to play with his designs. Anime unfortunately hasn't copied that until 2014 season, but it's notable thing.

Fairy Tail is super comfy and that's its strength for sure, just when I dunno when to watch or feel a bit down it's always a great pick my up and makes me feel warm and nostalgic inside because of how predictable/simple (mostly) it is

Fairy tail manga is more violent/mature/brutal but the anime has a god tier OST that makes you hype all the time

If there is one thing Fairy Tail has, it's THE tournament arc.
There are some good ones out there like Boku no Hero Academia's sports festival or RWBY's Volume 3, but the Grand Magic Games of Fairy Tail still confidently stand at the top of all tournaments arcs.

i love the power of friendship thing about fairy tail, cause it was my best friend's favorite show, he got me into it. we were both troubled kids that managed to have so much fun together regardless. i've lost him to a house fire a couple years ago, since then i've grown out of anime but fairy tail is the only one that's always gonna be with me.

About the "friendships" it do be ridiculous sometimes, the author do what his fans want from his previous work but then it kinda backfired.
