- I really didn't think I would be going back so soon, but here we are.
I decided to further traumatize by watching V/H/S/2 for the first and LAST time. My therapist was on speed-dial after the first one, and after the sequel I may have to be committed.

The guy was actually correct. If your nose is bleeding, you are indeed supposed to hold your head down so that it runs out and not back in and down your throat. I don't think I learned that until I was in my 20s. I used to have nosebleeds often due to sinus and allergies, and never knew. 🤷🏾♀️

The subtext of the first part (the one with the eye) is the that the ghosts haunting him were killed in a car crash (likely caused by him and likely what caused the damage to his eye). Clarissa (the girl with the ear implant) murdered her abusive uncle. They are being stalked by their victims.
But hey, that’s just a theory. A Film Theory. Aaaaaand cut!

My mom was confused as to why I suddenly needed to sleep with nightlights in the hallway and in my bedroom. I watched V/H/S 1 and 2 and now I'm traumatized, madre. 🙈😭

I’m so glad you’re getting around to this one! A lot of people, including me, have mentioned Safe Haven but it really is great, and intense. It’s basically exactly what I imagine the gates of hell opening up would look like (and I’m an atheist, it’s just that creepy).
Also, the guy was smiling because he’d basically gone insane by that point because of all the crazy shit he experienced. The demon calling him “Papa” was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The design of it is based on Baphomet (a Pagan deity that looks like a goat).
Baphomet! Now I gotta look that up!

I believe the first recording of him goes back to the 14th century, with the Knights Templar. He’s now most often used in modern Satanic imagery, but isn’t inherently.
From what I've heard, Baphomet was basically a made-up figure that was created as an excuse to arrest and execute the Knights Templar under potentially false allegations (so that the Medieval city-states, before they officially became France, could get away with not paying off the knights and get out of debt from the Crusades). So it's kinda funny to see that he's adopted under Satanic imagery when he was just someone's OC/propaganda tool and not actually something that was worshipped (though they probably borrowed some elements from the Greek god Pan while creating him lol).

Fun reaction! I definitely thought V/H/S 1 was definitely more terrifying. V/H/S Viral is one you can def skip on. V/H/S 94 & 99 are quite fun and more campy. V/H/S85 will feature a segment directed by Sinister and The Black Phone director

Just because you don't like a movie doesn't mean others don't like it. So it doesn't give you the right to say skip it just because you don't like it. That would be like someone saying you can skip the first V/H/S movie because they don't like it.
Viral is worth watching even though it’s not great
However the “bone storm” story is really fun
I didn't realize that I had thalassohobia until I was snorkeling in the middle of the The Great Barrier Reef ... so yeah I would probably die first in a horror movie 😅

There is a segment in v/h/s 94 that made me sweat and feel nauseous. And as a avid horror movie lover for 17+ years I LIVE for things that make me feel that after being used to watching scary movie after scary movie. Definitely would recommend the 94’ movie. The Empty Wake had me S H O O K.
The cult segment is legendary and the alien segment literally scarred a whole group of my friends

My problem with anthologies is that its rare that I like every story. Safe Haven was the best story for me in this installment. As for anthologies, Creep Show 2 is my favorite.

YAAAAYY, I still think this one is my fav of the V/H/S movies! do hope you continue the series, even if the next one is MEH the following 2 are great. Great Reaction as always!!! also if you're interested for you own Entertainment there are 2 spin-offs of the V/H/S Series "SiREN" which is a spin off from ""Amateur Night" in V/H/S 1 (crazy bat lady), and then also Kids Vs Aliens is a spin off of the ""Slumber Party Alien Abduction" from this one.
I'll most likely continue the series, just not right away. Next few weeks are already planned for the most part. I'll probably film Viral and make it a Patreon exclusive.

This is really old so I’m not sure if you’ll see this but don’t tilt your head back if you have a bloody nose. The blood goes down the throat if you do and the human body has difficulty digesting blood like that. I used to work in a nursing home, old people get nosebleeds like crazy if they are on oxygen. A lot of them would tilt their heads back and would throw up after. It works out better to lean forward, pinch the bridge of your nose and ice it.
It's interesting seeing people react to the VHS series, it can be stupid but sometimes I need some stupid horror in my life. Won't help but if it makes you feel better any time the camera is attached to the dog the dog being played by an Alf doll.
If anyone is curious, the first segment after the detectives round about(the guy was collecting cursed VHS tapes & now the footage from this film is cursed) the guy was in a car crash that led to losing an eye. Implant lets you see(in pool girl's case hear) ghosts so the more you pay attention the more they can interact which isn't good as two of the ghosts are a father & daughter that died in the accident that led to eye cam

I'm squeezing out the last bit of Halloween today (hey if Christmas can do it, so can I) and I came across your vid. I love watching cuties getting scared. Creepy comment? Yeah, but I meant it that way.
Viral's gonna be an interesting watch since many people, including myself, don't particularly like it. But it's mercifully the shortest because of a cut segment that isnt found footage at all, so keep that in mind when reacting to it. 94 & 99 are both pretty solid in their right & have a few relatively recognizable actors, see if you can spot where they're from!

I hope you react to Lost. A found footage film about a group of five friends going to camp in a cabin in the woods and they are hunted by the legend, the myth, Bigfoot. This film did so well with the scares and they did an amazing job at showing how scary this thing was.
Another found footage film is evidence. It is about four people going to camp in the woods and this guy wants to make a documentary but let me say this.... This film had my blood pressure running sky high and the scares are terrifying. But also, they aren't alone cause this scared me so bad lol.
VHS 94 is probably my fav installment. The segments really go all out and some of them are kinda camp..it’s such a fun watch!

Zzavid brought me here and i'm glad i decided to stay! I'd love to see your reaction to "The Apology" [2022]. It's a really good suspense/thriller flick with some terrifying stuff in it.
The stick things also reminded me of the first season of True Detective. If you haven't seen that you need to. Its easily in the top 1% of American television,.

Parallel Monsters in Viral is very good... I'm not sure it's worth watching the entire movie for, but it's good. I feel like there are only a handful of really good shorts in the entire franchise.

I just found out about Save haven and i'm happy that it's the fan favorite of the series! It's rare seeing any Indonesian work on international scale bc i consider vhs to have a huge following. It's well made too, unlike most Indonesian movies lol(technically)
