The DS port probably looks awful to people nowadays, especially knowing that all other versions are roughly the same, but the fact that it's almost the same experience is seriously impressive, especially with how completely different and absolutely terrible mobile ports were up to that point The game is fun to play, feels about the same as the PC version and looks good enough, if much more pixelated and I think that's super impressive
Ds, wii and xbox are better ports than mobile I instantly regret buying on mobile because it's not perfect and models and things will disappear and it's difficult to play due to the model disappearing like c3po invisible
1. Xbox 360 - The shaders, anti-aliasing, and bloom is cleaner than the PS3. However there are weird issues with sound effects exclusive to the X360 version where they will play at a way lower pitch than they're supposed to, however this is a graphics comparison not a sound comparison. 2. PS3 - Second best looking version, but has some screen tearing issues and is slightly less sharp than X360. 3. PC - Looks a lot like the PS3/X360 version but lacks some foilage in the Invasion of Naboo level that even the Wii version has. 4. Wii - Obviously doesn't look as good as the PS3/X360/PC versions of this game, there is no HD and the characters are lower poly, but I really like the gloss effects in this version. Idk why, but the gloss on the characters makes it feel more like *LEGO.* And despite the lack of HD I'd say it looks better than LEGO Star Wars II on X360 (which was only a marginal improvement over the last gen versions). Mobile - A port of the Wii version. It has better resolution, but several other things like the aforementioned Naboo foilage has been dumbed down. The gloss effects from the Wii version have been reduced as well. Overall it looks flat in comparison. DS - A brilliant conversion, just like the LEGO Star Wars II, Batman and Indiana Jones PSP ports. However because of the significantly weaker hardware obviously things look a lot more pixelated and lower poly, and the framerate is lower. Because they tried cramming two CONSOLE games (LSW1/2) into one DS cart, the levels have been tweaked like crazy. Most sections tend to be sidescrolling and some levels have been shortened. Flying missions are completely different from the consoles as well. The DS version is basically a REMIX of the console versions.
@@SeiyaDLuffy Yeah, I now own the Wii version and it has screen tearing as well. I also noticed that the PS3 version has less frame drops than the Wii version, but when the PS3 does dip it's more severe (one time I even made it dip to nearly single digits) and it is due to excessive particles/explosions, whereas Wii can handle said particles/explosions without a problem. Does the Xbox 360 version have any performance issues? Let me know.
@@legoclayface Sounds like they didn't leverage the SPE's on the ps3's cpu, as to my knowledge they were often used for particle effects on later titles. It's an early game for the ps3 though, so I guess it's nothing unexpected
Whenever I say Complete Saga is one of my favorite games of all time, I usually have to specify DS, because I haven't played the console version yet. I will eventually. I have it on 360 and Wii, I just havent gotten around to it yet.
The mobile version it's almost perfect, and i say almost because it doesn't have a 2 player mode (And before someone try to shoot at me i have to say that the 2 player mode it would be a actual mode in the game because you can connect controllers on your mobiles, using two for a two players mode)

The odd gloss they put on the LEGOs in every version but the wii one makes them stand out too much and it looks terrible. Wii all the way. Especially since you can probably import higher textures from pc into wii emu. Then you get the cohesive artstyle and higher resolution and textures.
Nice bro, great.. 👍 If I prefer the PS3 and PC versions bro, because I've never played this game on an Xbox 360 console, I don't have the console either, so I prefer the PS3 and PC versions, hehe..

The 360 version also have screen tearing, only on xbox one/series consoles the tearing is gone, but i'm agreed

One of the best Lego games ever made, right next to Lego Batman: The Videogame & Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures! 👋
