I put Blaze and Ch'en where Cutter and Matoimaru were and damn, I didn't even have to watch them. It was great. Their skills being auto was nice. Thanks for all the videos Ecko, they've helped me get through some of the stages I've struggled with! They've also helped me learn the game better.
i think this is the first time i have ever legit used thermal or a robot in general and felt like it was actually doing something. or felt like it was actually being useful. i like using thermal cool bomb. fun strat
Wow, this was a lot more chill than what I did! I timed the rocks to hit her but only one at a time and I had to get the deployment right for Ice Cream Queen and Cute Volcano. I also used Monster to delay and deal true damage. Thanks for the guide! Still amazed you can do it with no 6 stars!
not sure why but the pillar on the bottom right keeps falling on my guard a little while after boss enters second phase about when the first set of enemies on that lane come out. anybody know why this is happening?
Make sure you instantly return the ops after the boss enters flying mode and that she does not attack any ops along the way. If she's delayed (cause she's attacking people in fly mode), it triggers her pillar destroying thing.

One possible solution is instead of deploying two Guards so close to each other, deploy a top guard with extended range (Blaze or some high-DPS Lord) and the second guard on the bottom lane, instead of beside the pillar, and facing up. This will prevent Mandragora from dropping that pillar on anyone.

One thing that can be a problem if we put a higher-rarity guard in Arene's place (I used Lappland S2 M3) is that if their DPS is too high, they can burn down the first gargoyle and forcing it into the coccoon and then aerial phases, meaning they'll survive the pillar drop and just fly towards the blue cube. So we gotta be careful to keep DPS under control in that lane..
That kinda happened to me, but i had exia there so it was not a problem for long. So if you intend to use a high-dps guard, bring a good sniper with you
(I cleared all the earlier stages using my own squad, this op made me find a video...) I used the following! Thermal (didn't change) Kroos (didn't change) Thorns S3M3 replaced> Arene. Thorns even took out the 1st golem 2nd was cocooned then knocked over pillar to finish the last 2! Guard Amiya S1L7 (didn't change) took longer to get to phase 2! Gummy (didn't change) Gavial/Myrrh/Sussurro (didn't change) Blaze S2M1/Surtr S1M1 replaced> Cutter/Matoimaru Saga S1M1 replaced> Fang I've done this in practice and everything worked just fine then twice I tried to get clear but then twice the lower right pillar get kills my Surtr ... and I don't know why (nothing was different then my practice run) once nothing was even to the right of pillar and it falls to the left... (Well got clear I put Surtr to the right of the pillar Blaze bellow Surtr both facing up, when i needed to I removed Surtr before pillar might fall, used gravel to slowly knock over pillar while Blaze blocked the golem!
It's a very late reply, but I faced the same with right pillar. The point is - Blaze in her second form starts attacking enemies when they turn around the corner and sometimes Blaze deals damage to the pillar. Thus, I put Blaze facing the red entry point 1 tile above the pillar.
One possible solution is instead of deploying two Guards so close to each other, deploy a top guard with extended range (Blaze or some high-DPS Lord) and the second guard on the bottom lane, instead of beside the pillar, and facing up. This will prevent Mandragora from dropping that pillar on anyone (as there won't be any operators the pillar can reach)
No idea how you pulled this off, Mandragora's skill annihilates everything I put in front of her instantly. Looks like I'll need to use the golden rule of Arknights: If you can't brute force it, outscale the content until you can.
I tried this one when it came out but always have the problems with the other operators. Now that almost all of my 4* are e2 Matoimaru can hold Mandragora and drag her (6k+ HP) she took her time but she totally defeated her🎉 thanks mate
For some reason that tower need my two guard just always explodes and lands on them when I do nothing to it! Is this a bug or is the game just fucking me?
@@MasterAnimash1996 You cannot place ops within 1 surrounding tile of the pillars. She'll always knock them down regardless if you do. I don't know who you're using so I can't suggest placements.

The increased damage they take from Thermal is nice. Means you kill Mandragora sooner. Otherwise, it takes 4 pillars + some DPS.
I didn't think about them until recently, they're great additional support without taking up deployment limit

For some reason a damn dog keeps knocking over the bottom right piller taking out Matou. Super frustrating.
Make sure you don't cause her to stop and attack any operators. That will throw off the timings.

Yup, or if you whale DPS and use Thorns. He can solo left lane.

Is Mand attacking any ops before hand? That throws off timing.

Boss insta killed my healing defender with their skill had glowing tile under them.
