just received this chair today. Took about 15-20 min to set up. Very heavy, keep that in mind. Thanks to you I finally figured out how to make it rock. You're correct the massage could be more powerful, the electric cord is too short. A battery pack would have made it perfect. My outlet is on my right & their plug is on the left, so now I have more wires. I had to put it on an extension cord. I know everything with instructions is now found online but it would have been nice to have paper ones. Leg extension is short & does add pressure on the calves. Except for the things I mentioned, it's a very nice chair.
I'm 6'2", and 260 lbs. Would this be a bit too small for me? I realize the weight capacity is fine - this thing is rated at 400 lbs or so, but in terms of the width, etc., would this work for someone my size?
I just bought the Vane chair. Overall it is a pretty good chair but probably not worth the money. The biggest problem is customer service. They did not include either the charging cord or the leather cream as shown in these videos. I have been trying, without success, to get this corrected and have not received a response. They really do not seem to have agents to respond to telephone calls so don't waste your time trying to contact them. So far I have been sending emails to no avail. I used a cord that I already had to use the massage function and it is OK but a bit hokey. The main drawback is that there is no storage battery, nor is there any kind of USB hook-up. You have to have it plugged in all the time to use the massage function which is a major inconvenience. Also, there is absolutely no manual included on how to set the chair up or how to use it. Overall would not recommend this product.

there's a knob under the bottom that you can loosen or tighten. what is that for? does that control the tension of something?

Do your shoulders fit under the headrest or do they feel cramped/pushed forward by headrest?
Yes my shoulders sit under the head portion and don't feel they're pushed forward
