@@dead4419I think during my 12 hr shifts 5-6 days a week + when I'm wrangling my 18 month old, that I think for myself enough. I appreciate this type of video / content and the effort behind it, it allows me to enjoy the game without agonizing over small decisions and never getting past act 1. As it is, I still haven't done the creche. so in the small small bit of time I have per 1-3 days, I will continue to let my fave yters take care of the research for me
I know you probably take your style of delivering information for granted but, it's literally your superpower! Not many can be this clear and concise in their videos so feel gifted for being able to do it so easily. Can't wait for more!
Everything is very clear and very helping. For beginners like me, I advise to pause at every ability/actions descriptions, read it well and understand, then unpause and listen to the video to confirm what you understood. Thank you for this video !
Keep it up! These vids are absolutely great, I especially like that you just list what each ability/spell does. No build tips which can make players feel forced to do things a certain way. I’m on PS5 so getting info on these things is awesome. Great work!
Cleric: I use the powers my god gave me to do good! Warlock: I use magic I gained from a contract I signed with a Devil. Monk: I throw hands. Monk is awesome man, love ki points and just beating the ever loving Lolth outta some humanoids.
Really enjoy this kind of content. It helps me understand more about other class which I haven't had time to test yet. More spells showcase and abilities explain of other class and subclass please!
This will be my first time playing this game, this class mix was specifically speaking out to me and can't wait to try it out! Well done making this explanation so clear to understand. I know nothing and this was so helpful!
Man I wish the super late monk skills came in earlier so I can multi class it with those skills otherwise basically all you do is just make smoke and hide, like a rogue
@@mcnos3820that’s why you go pure monk first 9. Do the unarmed monk. The damage is ridiculous. You output 100+ per turn, and when you are lvl 9 respect to what you like.
Dude...no one breaks down BG3 like you do. Your attention to detail surpasses so many other videos I have WASTED my time watching! Subscribed because I will be looking for more.
I have to say that every sub-class of Monk get's something at level 9 except for Way of the Shadow. They should add something for that sub-class like the Way of the Hand and Way of the Elements have. Edit: an example could be an improved attack damage for the first attack after you shadow step...
This is simply the best explanation of the shadow monk I've ever found. I wish I'd seen this before my current playthrough. Now I know how to properly play my class. I'm so grateful you put this up. Thanks, man! 😍Just subscribed!
Awesome video. Maybe you could add a highlight reel of funny or cool moments of the classes you're explaining, so that once you've explained everything, it might be easier to transition to people watching your gameplay? Your videos for this are perfect but if you want to keep going i think you might need to start including what you plan to switch to after, i'm not a youtuber though so up to you obviously.
Havent watched into the monk class at all but iut seems a easy multiclass combo could be gloomstalker ( ranger lvl 3) or assassin/ thief ( rogue lvl3) or both
Monk 7/Rogue 3 (Thief)/Fighter 2 is pretty nuts. 6 attacks (2 regular attacks then 2 Flurry of Blows which are 2 attacks each) 8 if you Action Surge, and if you add Haste on top of it, 12 attacks. throw a Potion of Blood Thirst in there too and you can reach 16 attacks.
I need to learn more about how to play this game cause I get confused on strat. Such as whether or not I should perform an action, managing ki points, perform an action, hide, and then attack, etc. Currently level 3 and struggling already with the gameplay lol.
I liked way of open hand better. Passive effects and just added effects oh flurry of blows, something you will use anyway. Shadow is cool but it’s hard to find situations where you can’t just use the monk crazy movement to make it to someone
Take two levels in thief. You get sneak attack and a second bonus action- the damage gets rather high- plus, teleporting is often useful, and not just for getting to the enemy, but also getting away when you need to. Silence has *many* uses- from negating thunder damage to crippling mages to allowing you to quietly take down enemies without alerting others nearby. And being able to sneak damn near any time you want as a bonus action is also always nice.
@@txibiam6117 Honestly, it does pretty good damage even without the sneak attack bonus. I won't say it's as killy as some of the sillier paly builds, but it's still pretty solid.
6:25 - "While I'm hidden I'll have the advantage on the attack rolls." I'm wondering, how are you getting advantage while heavily obscured when you're inside the darkness spell? Wouldn't you also be blinded without Devil's Sight and be at disadvantage? Just trying to understand. 🙂
yeah I made a mistake by saying you will be at an advantage inside the smoke but actually the advantage and disadvantage cancel each other out so you have normal attack rolls while they have disadvantage
Silence bubble with bard does not cost anything iirc, idk it is a bug or not. Perhaps they fixed it ? Because silence with bard is a ritual skill it said
I have question when you are using different races or even gender does it affect monk animations? My Shadowheart always does round kick with that bonus attack.
Can someone answer this question for me? It's probably a dumb question. I see these build videos with people being lvl 12 in act 1 and I want to know how. Can you restart once you've finished the story with your max level character and the game scales the enemies to your new level? Or is it a mod?
The dark vision for 2 ki points fixes that problem, so you are no longer blinded in magical dark cloud while under dark vision. Just 4 ki point and all enemies have disadvantage on you, without disadvantage at your side.
@@Ray_tch No, I don't believe this is true. The only ability that allows you to see in darkness is the warlock's Devil Sight. Dark Vision, on the other hand, is simply the racial dark vision passive ability, and pretty much useless.
man I just love how you explain everything, in such a complex game with so much stuff, I can finally understand how some classes work
so much better than thinking by urself, right?
Thanks I appreciate it!

I think you touched on this, but the Silence spell works on silencing things, like the Goblin war / alarm drums in the Goblin camp, etc.
he did. he said it silences things like alarms.

Glad you like them! I really appreciate the sub!
Can't wait to name my Shadow Monk Batman and only do knockouts
Multi-class it with rogue thief (6 in each or 3 thief 9 monk) and watch the massive sneak attack damage roll in.

God, I love those animations
Very nice and clean video.
First time watching. Enjoyed it! Moving on to your other vids to see if you do builds as well. I'm new to this entire universe so keep it up
Thank you! I'm planning on doing some multiclass builds soon! Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for this. I was playing my class like an idiot, because I never realized the implications of Silence or Darkness.

do you plan on making more for baldurs gate 3?
Yeah I plan on going through all of them! Sorry for the late reply! Life has been crazy lately

Made a Gith Shadow Monk. Named…Zera’tuul😂
this American Gets it
Pro tip for people who want to play a class that uses sneak ability hold shift and as long as there's no red you can sneak without anything seeing you
Detailed showcase! Way of the Four Elements next please 😊

you need to explain how shadowstrike works- can i do all my extra attacks with it? otherwise it seems useless
Please do way of four elements monk and show us all their skills/spells next. There's zero videos and almost no information on that subclass 😢
great video what are your thoughts about 2 levels of warlock to get devil's sight so you can see in the magical darkness?
that might be good! Haven't tried that yet! Sorry for the late reply I just moved and have been super busy!
I got wylls clothes and the katana from act 3 boy was the rp fun
Oh sickkkkk that does sound super fun
I have question when you are using different races or even gender does it affect monk animations? My Shadowheart always does round kick with that bonus attack.
I am confused. Even if my Character is naked my Monk can barely move 20ft.
Would cross-classing this into rouge(assassin) work?
Yeah I think a lot of people recommend it actually
Multiclassing into thief rogue is actually pretty popular too because of the additional bonus action you get.
Way of the four elements next??
Can someone answer this question for me? It's probably a dumb question.

Mod or cheat engine
Edit: also not a dumb question at all
But where are the ninja clothes? Havent seem one yet😢
Underdark and forge
Shadow arts darkness doesn't make sense to me because if I step in in blinded and can't attack

how are you level 12 in act 1?
cant decide Thief or Monk (way of shadow)
You could multiclass with both. Thief would give you an extra bonus action which is nice!
Do monk since astarion is already the thief class
is half orc best class for monk ?
He is good but wood elf or half wood elf might be best due to extra movement
I want to be ninja, chop chop take chow down to china town
