Ring fit is pretty much an electronic pilates ring, so outside of the game, you can use proper excersies with it. If you alternate your days between fitness boxing and ring fit you'll work your body out quite well and feel fitter (as in you will feel like you can take on anything afterwards) and both games can give you a harder intensity if you're needing a challenge. (they use different muscles groups all over your body so alternation can give different muscles a break) Ring fit adventure is actually portable, using multi task mode you can take the ring with you to squeeze some excersise in while at your desk at work or on the go. I own both (and switch between the two each day and gotta say, you'll notice your stamina level improve very quickly within the first week using either game. I have just dance too, however it does have issues picking up alot of movement - something left over from its Wii ports as the joy cons need to have very deliberate motions to be picked up and unless you're into current trends in music, you may find the music library a bit on the samey side - maybe that's just me.)
I just got ring fit yesterday and the first set of workout gave me so much muscle sore until now (day 2), so far it’s fun and it really gets my heart rate going. One thing that I like it tells you when you’re not doing it right and checks your posture and all. I’m on my rest day now, but I’m using the multitasking mode while doing my things. As for rhythm games I agree the music selection isn’t the greatest for just dance, that’s why I had second thoughts getting it. One thing I would love to try is the Beat Saber, but you need an Oculus device to run it, but it looks worth the buy especially the PC version coz you can download custom songs (and of course your music selection becomes a lot more with that), and you can get a good workout from it while enjoying the music :)
JD Unlimited is so worth the monthly cost! I think it's like 2 dollars a month only. It keeps things fun/fresh with new songs to dance to. I got sick of the JD 2020 songs quick, and Unlimited kept me interested bc I could choose any song. I've been burning 600 calories everyday dancing for an hour a day!
I haven't been able to find Ring Fit yet, but I bought the Zumba game out of desperation (Isolation day 13 lol) and I was really pleasantly surprised. Pretty good workout and I actually found it fun. Could use way more songs, though. I can see myself getting bored in maybe a couple of months.
I’ve used all three, but so far my favorite has been fitness boxing. I’ve only played it for about a week now, and it’s already the best workout I’ve had outside of a real gym. It’s helped me keep myself active while being stuck in quarantine. Definitely worth the $50, but I’ve seen physical copies for a little cheaper at Target.
Honestly I think you're being a bit too harsh on ring fit? It has the most variety and offers a longer experience. It's a lot more friendly towards people who are maybe a bit iffy towards fitness. Besides that I think it's a beautifully designed game; the sound design is especially perfect; that REALLY helps during the workouts. Edit; that is not to say I think it's perfect; if you seriously want to work out, you're probably better off going to a gym (not now though, :'0). It's more that I think this game especially is reaching a lot of people who want to get started with fitness, but don't know how, and I think that is very valuable.
It also has the advantage that it works different parts of your body. I hurt my shoulder at one point and had to stop boxing because you can't do it without using your shoulders but with ringfit I just didn't use arm exercise for a few days.
I share the same opinion, got me shock on the "It requires a lot of space" only requires your own space on standing and sitting on the floor :S:S:S:S less than that is you disappearing from this existence x'D
All the games mentioned are very good to keep you healthy and keep you in good shape. Remember to eat healthy foods as well, but cut don on unhealthy foods, and processed foods. I reckon Fitness boxing is easy to follow and exciting games. Ring Fit Adventure is good to keep it attached to fitness regime for a long time. I had all the 3 games and I love it all.
@@soph9141 Super fun and a great workout. You can't just shake the joy cons, you gotta do the punches right. It's also much easier to get perfects if you engage your whole body. I've only had it for a couple of days and it keeps adding more moves and switching it up. You have to pay attention and be ready for rapid punches. I paid $50 for it, but so far I'd say it's worth the money. I reccomend it especially since it helps a bunch to keep me active while I'm stuck at home
Great summary! Straight to the point and quite comprehensive. I do feel that Ring Fit is a great game and the talking parts can be amusing (or useful if you’re catching your breath). I’ve been enjoying a big deal of improvement in my cardio capabilities and it gave me motivation to buy gym equipment to exercise in my house so I really recommend, it’s good value.
I have all of them except Zumba Fitness Let's Burn it Up (on the way to my home). Ring Fit Adventure is the one's gonna make u super sweaty!! Fitness Boxing is ok however I felt a little sweaty haha. Just dance is just fine , I got sweaty too
For a person who didn't do workout at all, zumba is the most intense and sweat me out a lot. I choose 1 session in short class and shocked it was 5 songs lol. I have them all except ringfit because its the most expensive. Hope I can buy it soon. Oh and yoga, I want it too because I enjoyed my prenatal yoga for the past 2 years lol
I have the last two. To me, Ring Fit Adventure makes working out fun, and tips are given on how to perform the moves. Fitness Boxing was downloaded due to the Quarantine. While the exercises feel more like it is done against a video, there is some effectiveness involved. And I feel like I may have learned a few things my "cousin" never taught me.
I had Fitness Boxing, but ended sold it to buy Ring Fit. It was a good wokout, but the precision on the joycons wasn't perfect, so it was painfully usual to lost some punches because the game couldn't detect the movements correctly. Also, the "music" list was awful to say the least. Just a few songs, and terribly mixed, so I would put a youtube playlist in the background. About Ring Fit, I tried it just today for the first time, but I can feel the difference already, the controls are way more responsive and in overall the exercises are more varied. I will miss my trainer on the boxing game tho, I made the blonde guy look like Vergil and was a really good motivation xD EDIT: Almost a week with Ring Fit, and I'm impressed. The story is extremely cheesy but it's adorable in a way, the music is great and helps a lot to keep you in rhythm, the ring character is constantly cheering you up like a personal trainer, and reminds you to keep your posture and drink water when you need it. Also, the rpg aspects are there not just decorations but really have an influence on the gameplay. I could continue like this all the day, but overall I love it.
just bought jd2020 in love with that game “cough cough I have unlimited...” and now im planning on ring fit because its is great for muscles in arma and I need them because I play volleyball! :)
Pretty much the same as the wiimote, you follow the hand that's gloved/glowing with the same directions (like mirrored) and it picks up on your movement. Switch versions can also have rumble for the beat, and a few songs that let you use two joy-cons.
I have both Zumba and Just Dance and would highly recommend the last one. Zumba was great on the Wii but on the Switch it has a very little list of songs. Also, movement detection and scoring are AWFUL. I always go for 1-hour workouts and this game has only like 5 of them. Just Dance, on the other hand, offers a huge list of hits and it's just more fun. I don't think you would play Zumba at a party or with your friends. After an hour of Just Dance, I already sweat and I don't choose the most difficult songs.
This is just the video I was looking for. Started googling fitness games and found Cyberbike then Expresso Recumbent bike, now Ring Fit Adventure not sure what to get yet.
Will say ring fit is a more fun Way to play than wii fit. But both is quilte a decent workout i guess. Have not yet Tried the other games. But i love my switch
Wii Fit doesn't have much in the way of intensity though the balance board is an interesting piece of technology, still you can play games like Just Dance on the Wii. Otherwise Ring Fit Adventure has potential to last longer as you become fitter.

As long I don’t buy a gym membership, I’ll buy all the games
Idk Just Dance 2020
Welcome to quarantine lol. I heard all of the gyms are shut down now in most places. I hope you're enjoying the games!
I got rid of my gym membership and got all 3 and use only 2 😅

That's the worst. I'd feel so discouraged
I have this problem. I saw a woman play by putting the joycon in her pocket and that seemed to work, I’m thinking about trying that : )
