A fun family trip for sure. Selfishly, I did miss the intercom/in-cabin audio on this one, but it was a joy to watch. Thank you, James, Diane, and Charles.
Great vid. I learned to fly in MS Flight Simulator in a third party PA-28 Warrior II in 1995 so that aircraft brings back memories. Beautiful scenery on your flight!
You were lucky, there on a calm day! It can get to be a fun ride over there in the Ercoupe. And as you saw, there are not a ton of places to land if needed. But a beautiful flight! Charles is almost taller than Mom ! Wow.
Lovely, thanks James for the ride along with Diane and Charles. We never took the time to fly into Shelter Cove. Flew to Montague for soaring. At that time, we owned a Cessna T206, wonderful airplane. Certainly a lot of sea life to visit up close and personal. Good to see you all flying.
I usually fly a tad south heading there and back to avoid those high peaks. Usually from UKI and then up north. Adds around five minutes, but gives a lot more options for emergencies and some nice AGL.
@@chriscusick6890 we didn't have radios in the tcraft and luscombe when I was a kid flying with my dad.my job was to spot the radio towers to make sure we were clear. we just had paper charts.
Thank you James for another great video. They're always a pleasure to watch. Wishing you and the family a lovely Christmas from here in wet and windy Surrey...
Great spot for a weekend jaunt, always thought that should be on your list, (and don't forget Alpine!) There's a couple of interesting looking private strips 8.5 miles up the coast I would aspire to if I happened to be a windswept California millionaire!
What a great destination! You can't beat a good session of rockpooling, some interesting stuff to see. As has been said in other comments, Charles is certainly growing fast, one of our grandsons has suddenly got taller too. Great soundtrack for the return leg, could you let me know the title and artist please James?
Nice video James! I tried flying there and experienced some pretty good turbulence when I dropped over the mountains so I didn't land. Any pointers on flying in there?
Ha, sorry. I knew it wouldn't be to everyone's liking. Very hard to please everyone with music. But I didn't record audio on the flight, and it was either engine or this. Thanks for the comment though!

Very nice video…what is the status of the RV12?
It's on a bit of a hiatus right now, we will start up in the new year again, I hope.

If I want to see something good, I just automatically dial in James Good. This is what flying is about.
Thank you, Chris!

Worst soundtrack ever … give my ears a break … otherwise, I’ve always loved your videos … thanks for restarting my love of flying …
