very informative and helpful, i was surprised that the crafted foot rags held up as well as they did. The basic shoes as well, makes keeping some spare rags on hand for emergency shoes worthwhile in low loot games.

Thanks. I have read in steam forums though "Still unclear" but boots have noise levels and the cartable boots provide minimal sound and no shoes provide even less, although player stealth and enemy awareness may also be involved. I can't be 100% so any verification would be appreciated.
That's uncanny! I've been thinking of getting this game, but I was wondering how long shoes lasted :) It looks like you need at least 2 pairs of shoes per day, that seems a bit extreme to me. Thanks for these information video's, you hit the topics others don't think of :)
Thank you! You can always repair your shoes as you go. It is a good idea to keep a sewing kit on you at all times. These, you can craft your own if you find a unit of thread, and it can even be one with just 1/10 left on it. For a needle, kill a puppet and you can craft one from a bone after you chop it up. Sorry for my late reply!

Gravel being probably the toughest surface, and all of them being tested on the same surface to compare decay rates. If I tested all shoes on pavement, they all would have compared the same, with military boots still being the best.
So shoes have nothing to do with Proformance? Just how long they last? I figure Motorcycle Boots would be the worst to run in. Trust me I know form real life. Great if you crash though.

1 little slot for slippers is not so bad. Also you can place slippers into you military boots but the sewing kit is much better.

For my opinion the hightopps boots are the best because the have only one heat/ temperaturpoint, an they can carry 10kg in 2 slots.
