What a wholesome and cozy tutorial! The crackling of the fire, the sizziling of the meat and your radio friendly voice. You certainly live up to your name. I was confused and thought either it was bugged or I was doing something wrong. But keeping the fire at 4/10 was the key, did not know that was a thing so thanks. I noticed that "flipping" the meat like you worked, seems to update the status somehow. I'm used to crusty mechanics as a Dayz veteran, but cooking is not as in depth as in Scum. Can't wait for for cooking overhaul minigame, I play these games for the survival not the pvp. Environmental difficulty is rare but fighting is plenty when it comes to games. Good stuff keep it up, I've liked and subbed! And I'm definitely gonna serve that secret marinade to the boys... *laughs menacingly in the dark*
Thanks for the awesome comment! It means a lot! As for the buggy cooking, the devs are working on it. There were a couple teaser videos released the last few weeks, apparently cooking will be completely different! Happy marinating!
Marinating the steaks 🤣🤣🤣 Also, thank you for the great tutorial. 0.7 and the npcs are gonna make this an even more important skill. I used to just stay by the big city and raid the bar for food, but now, i can buy it and make it myself.
Very helpful as a new player seeing the process from start to finish is very nice. The meat status is bugged as it will only reliably update for me if I pick it up into my inventory and then check taste. Cooking sound is working although it seems delayed when switching from cooking to to cooked to burning. You can cook at stage zero although you’ll need to move the meat back once it switches to stage 1. Found a pot last night so I’ll try making something with one of those tonight.
I just put the meat on the tenth stage fire and wait, checking the taste. The barbecue takes too long to cook and I don't see the difference. I do not need to turn anything over and put it closer to the center. Both steaks have about 95% durability when coocked if I coock them with 100%. I use the barbecue to dry my clothes, the barbecue also works like a roof over the fire and protects it from the rain, and the barbecue also protects me from unwanted touches with the fire.
a table is cheaper and achieves the same outcome, just build a table and place campfire directly center under it. if fueled 50% or less, place food closer to center, if max fuel, place food on the edges......
I'm doing everything you said but for some reason i can't cook any meat on the BBQ. Even when i move it around and get the fire to 0/10 burning stage, the meat over the grill doesn't get any hotter than just "warm". What is happening?
Short answer, yes. The higher cooking recipes will mostly give a wider spread of nutrients. They also seem to stick in your belly longer, for that all - day energy. Other than cooking, high survival will speed up certain actions, as well as give you compass points in focus mode without actually having a compass!
How long can you store Cooked Meat? Hate that everything in this game Rottes away so fast. I feel like I can not Live Life without being forced to come back to this game so everything is not destroyed.
By default I feel the meat and other fresh foods spoil way too fast. A lot of non official servers will dial the decay rate down. That being said, it seems to last longer when stored in a chest, and it may be just me, but I feel like it lasts even longer in a metal chest.
Hate how you have to cook you food like this. It easier and faster on regular BBQ. If I have to do this much work I rather make real food to eat for Real! I do give you props on a great video! Even though it a bit long and boring.
Longer, yes by maybe three or four minutes, but I don't know about harder, you just cook them by the fire, still. Skewers also burn super fast if you aren't careful. This way is also easier to manage your caloric intake with the smaller portions, so as not to lose dexterity.
Disclaimer:
The recent patches have "fixed" the thing where meat turns 100% after you chop up a very bad quality meat
^^^ This!!!

Perfect explanation of how to cook...thanks for taking the time to put this together for all of us meat burners :)
No, thank you! It was my pleasure!
Another thing that is overlooked a lot is you can cook canned food, mushrooms and vegetables as well
I can't even open a can with a can opener . Idk why?

You have a good voice and simple informative videos. I hope your channel will grow. Liked and subscribed 👌
Thanks! That means a lot!
Thanks for the Tip on Bulk Form!
Your video is helpful! :D
But lol, the bug at the end is annoying. Appearing in your own house out of nowhere. It should be fixed soon...
keep going 👍🏻🌹
thank you for sharing the knowledge

great vi,d and good luck on the youtube life
Thank you, so much!
Can you salt the raw meat to make it last longer?

I THINK I saw someone say that a recent update broke the bbq grills. It must be not fixed yet Im guessing. Thats too bad!
Do higher skill recopies offer better nutrition, is there any benefit in leveling this skill up?

@@rrRadioManGaming Thanks
For me the Meat check always tells Warm and Raw even if i put my Fire ring to 0/10
yea I don't think this shit works. I can't get it to work

Hello ! And what about the cooking pot ? I dont understand how to use it ...
You craft recipies that need the pot. Place it on the grill or near the fire and check the same way.
Is slightly cooked good enough or does it have to be fully cooked?
Not 100% sure, but I want to say that slightly cooked wont make you throw up.
That will be called Rare or Medium Rare then...
How do you move the meat?
When you look at it with your "tab" screen open, you can just drag and drop. Use the mouse wheel to rotate! Happy cooking!
@@rrRadioManGaming Thanks! That worked.

All that indebth metabolisam, cooking, stats... But no Fridge, light then torch
This is way harder than and takes way longer than skewers.
