I really liked your point about disempowerment and complacency! And I totally agree, why try to predict the future when you can create it? I look at tarot more like a conversation tool, I ask the universe a question and I might receive an answer through tarot, though it is not the only source.

I got quite rusty😉 I also started collecting Tarot decks and began my on-line research/refresher of the cards. I started writing down the meaning of each card on a notebook. Soon I found your website and learned about The ultimate guide and ordered it from Amazon. It looks awesome so I ordered it as well as The Intuitive Tarot. I can’t wait!!!
One thing I've found helpful is to find a deck I like, not use the straight Rider Waite because its the one I think I'm "supposed to" use to learn. These days I move between the Everyday Witch, Tarot of the Witch's Garden, and Modern Witch decks.

How do you feel about decks that show what the cards mean. Is that a good guide just like if you read about the card in a book? Or does it skew your interpretation?
It can be a good way to learn and to have a visual reminder of what the cards mean. It's like having a Tarot card meanings reference guide with you while you read. So long as you also listen to your intuition and trust what you feel and see in the cards, you're on the right track!
