I commend you for that because atleast when it grows out it’s all natural I just can’t commit to shaving my head so I trim as I go yes it’s weird having two hair textures but my ends aren’t completely straight because when I first got the treatment I was under the assumption it was a keratin not a Japanese straightening so I kept trying to scrunch which made my ends wavy so the top is curly middle is straight ends is wavy but I’ve been trimming and it’s helping and my new growth is growing so 2 more years and I will be ready to do a big chop
I was introduce to Jian by my sister who follows your channel. I had bleached hair last summer and it was totally damaged. I decided to go to Jian December of last year. I love my hair. It is much healthier, thicker, and so easy to manage. Personally I am not a big fan of doing my hair, However this hair perm is everything. All I actually do is just color my hair a week after the treatment to cover my grays. (no ammonia dye) and Co wash it every two weeks or so. Thank you for all your videos.
Just got the process done and it took about 5 1/2 but it'll be soo worth it now that my hair will be more manageable. Thanks for making videos on the treatment cuz it really helped my decision on getting it

I also go to Jian and have been for about two years?? Anyway, my hair is so much easier to manage. And you hair looks great, Kali! P.S. Jian's going to a new building in the area, hopefully you'll actually be allowed to film there Kali 😆
I saw this video I have curly 3c type hair I got the treatment from Jian and I love it I haven’t had to straighten my hair at all since, it’s silky straight , I just had to cut my ends because they were already damaged after trim my hair is so soft and silky without straightening . no regrets I really like it so far
I go to Jian too! I love him so much, hes the best. I'm actually the girl in the picture (far right) at 5:47 on that website lol. I learned about him from your other video & I'm so glad I found it! Thank you so much for all the info😀

This looks so good!! I absolutely love it. I don't think I'll be able to get it in the country I'm currently living in but this will definitely be something I'll revisit and do more research on when i move in the future. I'm blasian and very lazy, so I just put my hair in a sad bun as it's too curly and frizzy to let loose but it gets easily messy when i braid it so i don't even feel like that's worth it. This seems so perfect in all honesty. I'd rather have my hair a bit damaged through this than have it damaged due to the poor treatment I give it every day lmao. again tho, loved the video and keep on rocking with your hair

Furthermore, the new hair that’s grown in when I blow it out it’s more fuller and thicker on top and then the part that’s still chemically straighten it’s thin when I blow it out it’s thin you can tell the difference I would never do this to my hair ever again all my hair stylists was like wow you had such beautiful hair before. Terrible experience would never do this to my hair again. I wouldn’t suggest this to anyone because you will miss your curly hair 👩🏻🦱 and then when you try to wash it out no matter how many times you wash it , it won’t come out because it permanently changes your hair structure. If you have curly hair or wavy hair and when this treatment grows out your going to look weird for at-least 3 years tops until your hair texture comes completely back. The best thing when transitioning back to your natural texture less heat deep condition when the natural texture does grow back compared to the Japanese straightening part of your hair you will see wow my natural hair is beautiful and when you blow it wow the volume with the nape as straightening your hair is just flat and thin that’s so boring to me if you don’t want hair stuck to your face don’t do this unless your fine with chopping your whole hair off if I show you my pictures before and after you will agree wow you shouldn’t of did that and the salon I went they should of ask before they did this the process took 5 hours which the keratin I wanted was only supposed to take 2 hours and revert back to your natural texture. Plus after you get this treatment done ✔️ your hair will smell like the chemical which smells bad for days. I would not recommend this treatment to anyone your natural hair is prettier yes curly hair takes time and maintenance but who wants pin straight hair like the little girl from the grudge crawling out of a well or would you rather have thick natural straight bouncy full hair yes hate this treatment terrible 😞 regret it so much.

@elizarayo4450 Liscio Instructions Disclaimer: I am not a professional, this is only what I did for entertainment purposes. Please know that I will not be held responsible for any damage you do to your hair, do an in-depth research so that you’re are fully educated on this treatment and truly understand the condition of your hair to avoid any unrepairable mistakes. You will need to only use non sulfate shampoo if you doo this to your hair This following steps are what I did follow at your own risk. I have uncolored non bleached hair that is thin, and used two bottles Milbon Liscio Crystal Straighteners Cream NORMAL straighten cream and neutralizing lotion Solution 1: Activator that changes the bond structure Step 1: Wash really well making sure no oils are in it, double wash for the best results with the treatment. Step 2 - Divide into sections, and apply the solution to root, then to the ends per section. Step 3 - leave the solution on the head for a total of 20 minutes and check in increments of 5 minutes times 4. Hair is ready to rinse once the hair texture is elastic but not ripping apart! Critical note: Do a loose medium knot do not pull tight to seal the knot, with a small lock of the hair to see if it stays in place. If it moves to undo itself, the hair is not ready check in increments of 3 minutes until the hair is at the desired state. Step 4 - Rinse thoroughly your hair and divide hair in sections to prep it for blowout and Straightening process. Step 5 - Blow out and Iron pin straight Try not to aggressively pull on the hair. On this step, the hair is at its most fragile state because you've applied only Solution 1. (Treat it delicately as if you bleached it). Blow dry as best as you can first, without aggressive tension, against the hair, apply straightening iron after in TINY SECTIONS to maximize the results pin straight. Solution 2: Neutralizing cream to rebalance PH of the hair to shut closed each hair shaft locking permanently what you've just straightened with solution 1. Step 1 - Apply solution 2 neutralizer to the hair; well saturated in sections like you did with solution 1. Step 2 - Leave in the hair for 15 minutes, then rinse it out, DO NOT Shampoo. Step 3 - Condition Treatment for 30 minutes to 1 Hour as you desire. Step 4 - Blow dry and straighten. Step 5 - Leave hair loose, do not tie up or scrunch it for 72 Hours (3 days), so that you do not leave any permanent creases in the hair and you're finished, Yay!
I'm getting this treatment! My mom and I are doing research and we found this amazing place, last year I got the keratin and it did NOTHING :( so I see ur hair is a but curlier than mine so now I really know this will work! :))
i have curly hair and i don’t know how to take care of it properly im so tired of it i wish i had straight hair so baddd i want one of these but i’m kinda scared
Can u get wavy hair with this treatment? I have type 3c/4a/4b hair and I want it to be around 2b. Can I achieve that with this treatment? Like make it straighter than what it already is but not bone straight??
Hi, have you ever had an American hair relaxer done on your hair in the past (like ORS, a common "drug store" brand), and if so, what's the difference in the outcome between it vs the Japanese relaxer?
Hi, my hair is slightly shorter than yours. Can I ask what do you do to protect it while showering and exercising, please? I cannot tie it because there isn't enough length for a ponytail. Appreciate it.
My mom doesn't want me to do it and damage it, but I always straighten my hair and hate maintenance SOOOOOOOO much. I'm the same as you lolol. My scalp also gets super itchy from eczema but I can't wash it whenever because well..... It's straight 😅. Though I wanna know, if I do this will I be able to get highlights?? Or will my hair snap off? Cus I think I wanna try light brown or pink highlights. Or should I try before doing this treatment?
Please do me a favor and ask Jian, how long should I leave the neutralizing cream on the hair, isn’t it dangerous to leave it for a long time, my hair is curlier and coarse, l will be waiting for your answer ❤️❤️❤️
Yes girl! Redken is amazing!! I’m a branded stylist under redken so I get the discounts 🤣 but yes it is expensive. They do sales though so keep an eye out!!
What a beautiful curly hair you had , but straight also looks good on you . How much does that cost ? And doest it stay that straight even after you wash it ?
Thank you for the video. I just rewatched your other video on this topic a few days ago and this suggestion popped up. I’m growing out my relaxer so that I can have enough hair to get this process done, likely in January~
Do you think this would work with a little bit curlier hair then yours ? I really want to do it for the same reason u said haha but I just wanna make so I’m not just putting a tun of unnecessary chemicals. And does it look bad when it starts to grow out ? I’m not sure if my parents would let me sadly if I can’t do this is there anything else you think that would work ? It would mean so much if you answered ! ❤
No I think she grew her hair out possibly wanted to try again with curls and then decide no and chopped it then got the treatment again. That’s what I’m currently about to do😂
y'all i have a doubt, is it possible to keep straighthening it for the rest of your life ?. like it lasts for a few months but then u have to straighthen it again and is it possible to keep doing this procedure over and over again ?
Y did you cut your hair? Is it because your hair texture became undesirable over time? Please let me know . I'm considering getting this done. But I want long hair so I don't want to have to cut it.
I wanted to try and give my curly hair a chance, but honestly as soon as I cut it I remembered why I got the perm in the first place haha but I wasn't too mad because we were in quarantine and I didnt really have to do my hair often. The permed hair was still good I just wanted a change for a bit
This was posted a while ago so I'm not sure if I'll get a reply, but how does it go when you go into chlorine filled pools, and salt water at beaches? Does is change the hair?
just to clear the air, this treatment is NOT a perm. a perm and a JHS are two different things that do two different procedures to our hair. perms are very damaging and harsh to the hair while a JHS is typically not. perms are a temporary relaxer, a JHS treatment permanently straightens and restructures the protein bond in the hair. yes they both straighten, but they are NOT the same.
So I’m planning to do this and I used to have relaxed hair (natural for 6 years now), the main difference is after you wash it it stays completely straight and you don’t have to style it. With relaxer, if you wash it and leave it the ends look trashy, if that makes sense.
Relaxers loosen or relax your hair at 13 alkaline and Japanese straightening removes the curls with less damage less than 9 alkaline. Healthier process overall for your hair and maintains most of the health if your hair is not bleached or already over processed.. Relaxers are extremely damaging and harsh and leave deposits that dull your hair. Way drier afterwards and wreak havoc on your hair regardless
So interesting! I literally shaved all my hair off cause same… I HATE hair maintenance.
I shaved all my hair off before I decided to loc it. almost the same with the low maintenance but I miss the bald life 😭

@@xngala Thank you! I'm thinking of going with different shades of brown so I hope I won't see any breakage
I love the new look Kali xx
I have a question because i might perm my hair too, will the perm damage my hair if i dont use the right products?
Can you still get braids and stuff after permanently straightening it?
Can you do henna on your hair before a Japanese hair straightening ??
your voice, aesthetic, and just you in general is so soothing- CONSIDER DOING ASMR !! also i subscribed
Bro this is the exact comment i was about to write😭
Can you use curlers afterwards or will it not maintain the curl?
The camera quality and editing 🔥
I remember you telling me about the Japanese straight perm and I love your hair 😍
I just did mine on Friday by myself at home and it's the best thing I've ever did and I don't think I'm ever going back to curly hair again
What products did you use? I’ll want to do it

Liscio Instructions
Disclaimer: I am not a professional, this is only what I did for entertainment purposes. Please know that I will not be held responsible for any damage you do to your hair, do an in-depth research so that you’re are fully educated on this treatment and truly understand the condition of your hair to avoid any unrepairable mistakes. You will need to only use non sulfate shampoo if you doo this to your hair
This following steps are what I did follow at your own risk. I have uncolored non bleached hair that is thin, and used two bottles Milbon Liscio Crystal Straighteners Cream NORMAL straighten cream and neutralizing lotion
Solution 1: Activator that changes the bond structure
Step 1: Wash really well making sure no oils are in it, double wash for the best results with the treatment.
Step 5 - Blow out and Iron pin straight
Try not to aggressively pull on the hair.
@elizarayo4450 I tried to comment it here but I think the Creator deleted it so you going to have to search for it unfortunately
ur dimples r so cute!
I'm getting this treatment! My mom and I are doing research and we found this amazing place, last year I got the keratin and it did NOTHING :( so I see ur hair is a but curlier than mine so now I really know this will work! :))
keratin isnt a straight perm tho lol... its so ur hair wont be frizzy and ur hair should feel softer
@@sage6686 Brazilian blowout is though
i have curly hair and i don’t know how to take care of it properly im so tired of it i wish i had straight hair so baddd i want one of these but i’m kinda scared
ur literally so beautiful omg
Wow you live so close to me! In northern VA. So cool! Thanks for the recommendation.
You hve such a calming voice ❤
Thank you so much for this! I’m literally going to my first appointment with Jian tomorrow! So excited
I also try to embrace my curl but end up too lazy to do all the maintenance. Thank you for the review.
Somehow I feel relieved knowing I can do this 😅
I like how she talks 🥺
I think the new style suits you very well. Thanks for the new vid.
Glad you like it! ❤️
Or should I try before doing this treatment?
thank you for this!
Please do me a favor and ask Jian, how long should I leave the neutralizing cream on the hair, isn’t it dangerous to leave it for a long time, my hair is curlier and coarse, l will be waiting for your answer ❤️❤️❤️
The curly hairs looked more beautiful on her!!!
Can you use a curling wand on permanently straightened hair?
Thank you for the video. I just rewatched your other video on this topic a few days ago and this suggestion popped up. I’m growing out my relaxer so that I can have enough hair to get this process done, likely in January~
This looks great, thank you for the video!!
Ps: The way you speak and move really reminds me of Billie Eilish!
Ohhhh
Did you straighten your hair with every wash? How often did you wash it?
New subscriber your really cool ! Loved the video and the down to 🌎vibe 💙
I have one doubt, does the hair keep straight after regrowth also
Nope 🙂↔️
Did you cut your hair because the ends were damaged from this perm?
No I think she grew her hair out possibly wanted to try again with curls and then decide no and chopped it then got the treatment again. That’s what I’m currently about to do😂
I so agree with the satisfaction you have in straight hair. Thanks for this video.
y'all i have a doubt, is it possible to keep straighthening it for the rest of your life ?. like it lasts for a few months but then u have to straighthen it again and is it possible to keep doing this procedure over and over again ?
What products do they use to straighten to it hair do you know the brands?
Hey kali you no longer have your website… went to purchase and it was gone!!
Do you know where I can get a Japanese hair straightening perm in Korea?
Y did you cut your hair? Is it because your hair texture became undesirable over time? Please let me know . I'm considering getting this done. But I want long hair so I don't want to have to cut it.
I wanted to try and give my curly hair a chance, but honestly as soon as I cut it I remembered why I got the perm in the first place haha but I wasn't too mad because we were in quarantine and I didnt really have to do my hair often. The permed hair was still good I just wanted a change for a bit
@@kalilowe ok thanks 😊
Is still super straight after a wash and air dry?
Can you tie your hair after the treatment ?
Can you verify location of salon (jian)? Possibly at another salon? Thanks! ☺️
This was posted a while ago so I'm not sure if I'll get a reply, but how does it go when you go into chlorine filled pools, and salt water at beaches? Does is change the hair?
No
Does your hair take a curl after the treatment? Can you use a curling iron and get a big of a beach wave or does it just fall out completely?
Does new hair growth grow straight too?
Is wavy hair possible with japanese treatment?
Hi, weird question, but what do you use to edit? Also finally someone with a nearby hair dresser lmao
Do you need to straight your hair to live in japan?
Great video
I can do it like shiny and more straight 😍
The way your skin tone and face is almost identical to my cousins is uncanny
The thumbnail looked like you had your perm done with long hair.
Can I style it? Like if I had curtain bangs could I style it or dry it while it’s weird to create a wave?
yeah you can style it :) you may need hairspray to give it hold otherwise the curls/waves will fall flat in a few hours
I did this and my front hairs literally split off the front. It’s so embarrassing.
just to clear the air, this treatment is NOT a perm.
a perm and a JHS are two different things that do two different procedures to our hair.
perms are very damaging and harsh to the hair while a JHS is typically not.
perms are a temporary relaxer, a JHS treatment permanently straightens and restructures the protein bond in the hair.
yes they both straighten, but they are NOT the same.
Locs are also amazing when it comes to not doing your hair, if you dont want any damage.
Unnie your fluent in Korean? 😍
i don’t think she’s completely fluent yet but she’s on an extremely advanced level so pretty much
Does anyone know of a good place to go for this in Ohio lol PLease help
Why not just get a regular relaxer?
Japenese straightening is literally just a thio relaxer
