Angel Locsin I can’t decide, and my hair can’t decide. Some days it’s wavy others it’s almost completely straight. I wanted waves? Nope your hair is straight. I wanted straight hair? Let’s give you waves and tones of frizz for today. Bruh.
Brad: everyone is always late to their appointments Me: shows up on time everytime but my hairdresser never takes me until at least 30 minutes after my appointment time
abbyjing1117 We think Jun does actually have it! In one video, he was talking about how he found a couple red hairs and even took photos of it, so not all hope is lost!
@Artoria Pendragon It depends on what texture hair you have how humidity will affect it. Generally natural blondes and red heads have finer hair which is more prone to frizzing. I have lots of really fine hair and I always get crazy bad static when its dry and frizzy when its humid.
Rachel's hair is her natural colour. Japan is extremely humid in the summer, which is why these are so popular. If your hair tends to frizz, then it's really hard to keep it straight, regardless of what products you're using.
@@palladium607 I think in this case is more ethnicity determining typical hair types. East Asian like Japanese tend to have coarse hair compared to White or Caucasian with lighter hair genetics.
I got the Japanese straightening perm after a ton of online research and watching Rachel's video. Best decision ever, and such value for cost because it's truly permanent.
S K I did my whole head originally for 150USD. Then moved to an expensive city and now do the roots touchup for just under 200USD (many places include the haircut). That’s on the cheaper end for a large city outside of Asia. I’ve done it at both Japanese and Korean salons. Wasn’t difficult to find, but during the consultation it’s good to ask how long they’ve been doing the treatment. Best to find someone experienced.
@C.O. I haven't noticed any damage and my hair has not lost any luster. However, the perm does make your hair less able to hold moisture so to avoid damage over time I started some new habits: Deep condition once a week, use conditioner when I wash and a hair oil after. I also use a wooden wide-tooth comb instead of a brush; there's not much to style when you have pin straight hair and combs in general are more gentle.
I've been tempted to. My hair is naturally straight but I think it would help with looking more sleek and add some shine now that it's so long. I don't know if they do it in the US though..
Oh my gosh love that he reacted to Rachel getting her hair done. I always forget she got it done bc it looks so good on her, and it’s obviously been years since she first got it done. And yes, that IS her natural hair color!!!! I like my natural hair wave but it doesn’t come without a lot of frizziness, and living somewhere as humid as Japan I’d probably also feel really frustrated if my hair puffed up everyday.
Think he realizes that Mikan and Rachel went to the same salon? It's a popular salon for english speakers to go to in Tokyo called Salon Nalu, pretty neat place!
I’m so glad you found Rachel and Jun! Her hair is pretty majestic and I think completely her natural colour. I got my hair straightened with the Japanese method and the first salon did not do it properly and left me with wavy hair. The second salon did a great job but just as you said, my hair grew out and I had to straighten the curly roots which meant touching the straight hair with the straightener and damaging it faster. I couldn’t just go for a swim or go skiing without worrying about my hair. It was way too high maintenance for my lifestyle. And I have fine hair so it was so pin straight and flat without any body which I didn’t like.
That is the color of my hair. I’m 64 and still I have no gray. Although my hair is darker than it used to be. I wonder if hers is natural because her eyebrows are so dark. Of course she might dye them. Mine and others I know with this bright copper as Brad called it, we have light eyebrows almost invisible eyebrows.
If a person feels better with straight hair, he or she should definitely do these procedures. The real beauty is being free to choose what you want to look like
THANK YOUU. I'm black but I've been straightening my hair because I like them more that way, it suits my face shape more and so many of my friends with curly hair get mad at me for it??? Like, it's MY hair girl, let me be 😭🤦🏿
Jin the banana from the left In the black community, people have been harassed and discriminated against for their natural hair texture. So much that even our own parents instill that our hair is ugly and needs to be straight/ “fixed” as early as three years old. I get you, you need to be free to do what you want. But most of the time, it’s deeper than “just “ hair
Hey, Brad. I have depression, which makes it difficult to do basic things like getting out of bed, showering, doing the dishes, etc. I also live alone, so I don’t have someone to talk to while I’m doing those things. Your videos give me a kind and uplifting voice to listen to while I work through my shit. Thank you for being here for us.
I want to get my hair permanently straighten because it's really fizzy, like Rachel's. Unfortunately I can't because I live in America and Japan is too far away.
Straightening treatment cause more damage than bleaching. It looked healthy but it's basically burning and altering the bonds in your hair while bleaching is just removing pigments in your hair
That's not true at all. As long as you use formaldehyde free treatments, straightening is not so bad. It can actually help bleached hair. It can help repair damage.
@@psiloki9054 you can't repair hair damage. The only thing you can do to repair damage is cut the damaged part off. You can make damaged hair feel better, but the damage can't be repaired.
I love Brad too! I've just been following Juns Kitchen and Rachel's channels for forever. I get so excited when my foreign youtubers get recognition! 🥰
I got a Japanese hair straightening treatment! Lasted like a year and a half! It was actually super healthy!! No damage at all!! I loved it! It felt super soft, and I would get out of the shower and it would dry off completely straight! But it did take foreverrrrr during the process!! It took like 3 or 4 hours!
I honestly didn't even think that was related. There are treatments some people get. I went into a sort of remission when I was a teenager though(it doesn't undo it but it just means it doesn't progress more-its not in remission now. Having kids took it out of it but then we knew that was a possibility before I was even pregnant so...). Didn't even relate these two things. Fun fact though. The rod they do on some people is fucking horrific. I get that for some people it totally works but a friend of mine had it done when he was still a kid and as a young adult sometimes he'd end up laying on the ground dealing with the spasms. Because the rod forces his spine to be straight but the body is resisting and that causes crap. I'm not sure if a rod would have honestly been better for me. I've had spasms too but I don't have a rod to exasterbate the issue either so... It's not even a little bit the same thing. Not everyone can get the rod and generally you have to be young and have it be considered bad enough for the risk to even be a thing. But technically you could say ways to straighten the spine or force it that way do exist. They are also incredibly dangerous and cannot be done if the spine progresses too far as well. It's all very complicated. I'm not sure if I am too old now but I do imagine that if a doctor deemed it necessary or a good sort of possible treatment for me at my age that it would be a more difficult process at thirty than it would have been when I was still supposed to be growing. I think chances of rejection of the rod are also higher when your older where a child's body is overall more likely to adapt? Not sure. Not a doctor. Just have scholiosis and pay attention when doctors speak and then research a bit too? But seriously. I could be wrong. I don't actually know and some is honest speculation but the rod is a thing. Not really how you imagine though. It's something your spine is actively doing. It's not really passive like hair.
It’s the wavy girls that go for this type of process because their hair can’t be worn just air dried, and it also doesn’t curl or straighten well very easily, both takes WORK to not just end up a frizzed mess - I know from experience! 😩
Omigosh I love Rachel and Jun's channel, this is so cool to see them in one of your videos! (Holy cow! Thanks for the likes! I’ve never gotten this many! Here’s a cat in honor of Rachel and Jun🐈)
I wouldn't say he knows "nothing"... But it's very clear he does not specialize in curly hair 😅 if you want to follow someone who DOES know a lot about curly hair, check out Manes by Mell ❤️
I had an ex who argued with me that my curly hair couldn't come from being Asian. He absolutely insisted that Asian people only have straight hair, it's the only gene that exists among us Asian people. He could not give me an answer as to why Japanese straightening treatments exist or why it's so strong and permanent.
I get to the hairdresser like 15 minutes early but I sit in my car until I have like 5-3 minutes left because I have anxiety 😂😂😂 so while I'm in my car I'm mentally preparing myself 😂😂
As someone who has naturally wavy hair, damaging it to get the japanese straightening treatment would be worth it to have straight hair. I would love to be able to let it air dry with the confidence of knowing it would still look good, plus when I put it up in a bun or ponytail, all the frizzy baby hairs poke out, it’s annoying!! Especially since gels and hairsprays irritate my sensitive scalp 😩
Yep! Imagine getting caught in the rain, going swimming, or being in a humid environment. Your hair will never look shit!! Somehow my hair looks worse when it got rained on, and the frizz went everywhere...
I actually got my hair chemically straightened in Japan 9 months ago and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My hair is dyed blonde but the hairdresser used a pretty new straightening cream and Olaplex and the breakage was really minimal. Before that, I would frequently straighten my hair or put it in a bun because I didn’t like the way it looked loose (think Hagrid). Since getting it permanently straightened, I always wear it open, which makes me feel more beautiful than having it in a bun and is healthier for my hair, and only straighten my roots very occasionally. My hair is longer and healthier looking than previously, my ends stay straight longer after getting cut (ie fewer split ends) and I don’t have to go through the process of straightening. On top of that I feel more beautiful. Fellow Hagrid-hair ladies - find a good hairdresser and go for it!
Would this perm work if my hair is poofy and curly, and has a lot of split ends already? Like, would it damage my hair more or not? I'm thinking of trying it out but I need advice ;-;
222_ Chan 222_ Chan My hair is naturally also poofy and curly so that’s not a problem. The process may damage your hair a little: it involves chemicals that change the structure of your hair so it’s to be reckoned with. However, updated treatments combined with Olaplex (or an alternative) make it far less damaging than it might have been just a few years ago. The damage and hair loss was really minimal for me. Also, if you regularly straighten your hair anyway than this might be a less damaging solution overall. Regarding split ends: I’d recommend cutting them before undergoing treatment. Do some research and find a good salon. Any professional hairdresser will not even do the treatment on you if they think it will cause too much damage.
I have 80s kinky hair naturally. Not wavy, not curly, just somewhere in between. I had the Japanese straightener done (in San Diego) because I was going to be in (very humid) Hong Kong for 3 months & was worried about having styling tools that were compatible with their plugs. At the time I had been getting Henna coloring by Aveda for a few years. The treatment took 6 hours and cost me $400. Zero damage despite not having virgin hair. THE BEST DECISION EVER!!! I could blow dry my hair with a vent brush and it would be straight and good to go. I could also still set my hair in rollers and it would hold the curl. No issues even in extreme humidity. It was insanely convenient! I actually loved when my roots started coming in, at about 3 months, because I had a little more volume at the top. I never had an awkward grow in period. I'm shocked that Brad's not a fan but I sure as heck am! Highly recommend!
I got my hair permanently straightened for around 5 years (the roots touch-ups were terrible btw) and only recently have I realized I shouldnt damage my natural curly hair and spend a lot of money to look like everyone else Yes it was convenient to wake up and look bomb without dealing with the curliness but tbh I love my hair now.
Tbh it takes us so long to take care of it because we didn’t grow up learning how. It’s that we have to learn a whole new curly/wavy methodology when we decide to go natural, because straight hair is for some reason the “norm” and things like dry brushing, regular use of silicones are just part of life for us. I spent so much of my 23 years straightening it, and the more of us that do that, the less well known curly methods will be for others like us. I’m so glad I stopped damaging my hair while I’m still young! Good luck to you!
@EmpressKajal same, I'm American British and I have an in between accent so my accent is always that odd one out either in England (where I live) and when I visit my family in the US
Actually it's a pretty common hair treatment in Asia because the weather is very humid and my hair is super thick and frizzy. I've done straightening treatment once a year for 15 years starting from rebonding, smoothening to keratin. I love it, always sleek and shiny.
@@constanzarojas1901 I've been getting this Japanese rebonding for the past 13 years and I don't have much split ends. I'm pretty sure we have different technology here in Asia.
Brad: “what’s up beautiful” Me: *wrapped up in blankets and lookin like a potato right after a mental breakdown* Your videos always makes me feel better, thank you for the amazing content.
I once tried convincing my mom into letting me permanently straighten my 2c/3a curls and she didn’t let me. This was when I was 13. I’m 21 now and I’m glad she didnt let me because I haven’t straightened my hair in MONTHS and I really love my natural hair now ❤️🥺
@@lorianne2615 I got my hair straightened (I have no idea what exactly my hair type because my hairs kind of damaged, its probably 2b-3a range) with a keratin treatment a few years ago and it lasted 6 months. I had longer hair (middle of my back) and brushed it constantly so it was a frizzy and fluffy mess. After the treatment started growing out I got my hair cut to a bob and started caring properly for my curly hair and I honestly am so happy I found out that I like my curly hair, but I doubt I would've without getting the treatment. If you think you'd like it I'd go for it, you can always go back in a few monthsm
I love my curls too but it’s too much maintenance for me. So I think it’s time for me to change, and then in the future I’ll grow my curls out again, or cut my hair completely lol.
Well I guess it makes sense bc Rachel and Jun aren’t exactly very mainstream (don’t get me wrong, I would literally die for them and brad) but, no one else in the video gets as much love as them... don’t take my word for it tho, I’m just some random commenter
I got my hair Japanese straightened for the first time last year, after watching Rachel and finding a salon in London. I get a touch up done once a year, it’s the best thing I have ever done for my hair. Surprisingly I get very little damage compared to when I used to colour it. FYI Rachel also did a 1 year later catch up when she got hers redone. Great Video!
Pix. Lisa what salon in London? I didn’t think we could get real Japanese straightening here? As in, the same products and everything. Could you let me know which one you use? Thanks
Hey NadyuLife, I got mine done at a hair salon in Camden it’s called Jeju. Had mine done twice now at the same place and I don’t even bother of looking for anywhere else, they were nice there and talked me through everything. If you search the salon on TH-cam there’s a review.
In my country its jst called permanent straightening, today is the first time i ever heard that its called japenese treatment. So i think any permanent straighting is the same. Its jst the number of times they apply the product that changes.
The people at the hair salon said that they use a treatment first to break the bonds in the hair that decide the frizz or curl of the hair. Then they straighten it to create the permanent straightness. Finally they add a treatment to reseal the bonds.
They uses a product to change the bonds, they rinse brush and iron and they finalize with the Neutralizer, to stop the chemical reaction of the first product.
I love how Brad doesn't shy away from talking about the money aspect of being a hair dresser. Sometimes with the artistry you can forget that people are making a living with what they're doing.
When Brad was talking about everyone being late to their appointments, I thought “no way! I’m always early!” And then he said or people are super early. And I realized that was me... I always waaay to early.
Was anyone else annoyed that he didn’t turn on the subtitles for Rachel’s video? They explained the process of the straightening in detail but it was in Japanese.
My mother is a hairdresser who trained in permanent hair straightening and rebonding about 20 years ago, there are different Japanese brands and knockoff brands that can obviously have different effects on hair, and especially if not done by a trained professional can result in hair being severely damaged. BUT as long as someone qualified is treating your hair and using legit and professional brands, such as Paimore, the perm will turn out fine and in some cases even improve the quality of the hair! Just feel like Brad might be slightly ill informed, probably based on his own experience so definitely not trying to slate or question his knowledge, but just letting people know you shouldn’t be afraid of getting it done if you’re considering consulting with a hairdresser (who will determine whether or not your hair is suitable for the chemical) and with a proper rebonding business!
@@iheartanime1011 no he's right. It DOES damage your hair. But just that heat, putting hair up all the time, bleaching and dying does the exact same thing. People still do it anyway. And it's just hair, it grows back too so do whatever you want.
As I said before, and I’m only saying this because I’ve grown up with someone who does this treatment as a full time job, it is a strong chemical that can leave the hair damaged. For fine, bleached hair or hair full of silicone this is the case. But since this treatment chemically changes the ph balance of the hair, for strong, coarse, untreated hair it can do absolute wonders in terms of texture, glossiness and moisture. It also makes your hair feel weightless and it dries in half the time. But yeah as you said, people bleach, colour, use heat and products that equally ruin the hair and a lot of people don’t mind having their hair a little drier than normal if it means not having to straighten it every single day. Just wish Brad would maybe see the results of people who really love the perm, just disappoints me a tiny bit because I know literally hundreds of people who do
This is a very common treatment here in the Philippines, humidity is all time high in here all year round and frizz is always the enemy for many of us. Most Filipinos have wavy hair and it's harder to manage in this weather especially when you have thick hair. Also, Asian countries is not curly/wavy hair product or salon friendly, you can rarely find a salon that specializes in curly hair in the Philippines or products that is specifically for curly/wavy type, it costs atleast 3x as much to have it shipped from the US. It's more of a cultural thing too, pin straight black hair is something deemed as a standard of beauty in most Asian countries.
Truth ^ Like everyone in East and Southeast Asia have this chemical hair straightening done and there's no issues with it. It's only in America where they have this problem with it. They make it sound like all their hair is going to fall out and are going to die.
I'd get there half an hour early and literally loiter just outside the door because I'm afraid to go in and stress out the staff, but I don't wanna go too far away and risk becoming late XDD
Whenthestarssettle Don’t get me wrong, i love my natural curl pattern. I just don’t have TIME. It takes so much work for 4c hair to look cute. Straightening my hair is a win-win. It’s so much easier to maintain, and i look cute. And thanks btw!
@Whenthestarssettle It's a pain to deal with. I hate it lol. Y'all can get mad but my hair looks better straight instead of in it's natural 4C state. So shoot me 🤷🏿♀️
I've gotten the straightening treatment done twice now, it does make your hair more manageable. It just makes it very convenient especially if you have frizzy hair or tend to straighten your hair daily!
namedarmybybts you need to calm all the way down about making this shit a race thing. It is in NO way offensive for someone to call use the words wavy and curly interchangeably.
namedarmybybts my people lmao 😂 you have no clue what my ethnicity is, and regardless of my ethnicity or yours, it’s not hurting anything at all for someone to call their wavy hair curly, their curly hair wavy, their pin straight hair wavy, their loose curls unmanageable, etc etc etc. It’s not hurting anyone. It’s not offensive, derogatory, or racially charging whatsoever. It’s someone describing hair lmao. Take all this energy and put it into advocating for real issues. You have the passion to really make a difference.
Coming from someone who did the keratin hair treatment this is my honest opinion! I used to straighten my hair every other two or three days but during the summer, it was like once a day or every other day only if I can keep it not so greasy and dirty 😢 Once I did keratin my hair started looking so beautiful, not dead burn and damage. My hair grew out so much!!! I went from straightening my hair multiple times a month to only once every six months. Yes the temperature is high 450° is crazy for your hair, but it’s only one time every six months compared to constantly straightening on low temp taking forever, wasting money on heat protectant treatments that don’t really do much I still get split ends and damaged Hair, I’d say it’s worth the salon visit. Straightening my hair more than once a week was more maintenance than this treatment. Likeeee ima keep doing keratin straightening treatment till I can’t anymore. And with working a full time job running a business and about to start school again it saves so much time 😊 so yes definitely worth it in my opinion!
I actually got my hair permanentley straightened and my hair was so soft, and didn't get any damage, even if it air dried it was straight. The roots didn't bother me until they were long.
I was in japan over the summer and it was ridiculously humid so it makes sense why people would want to do this. My hair was a giant frizzball the whole time I was there
Actually Brad said it correctly, which was a pleasant surprise! It's very interesting that Rachel calls him "June" because the Japanese pronunciation is Jun (no elongated u)
Actually it's not. That would be Joon which is one syllable too long, but it's June if you don't drag out the "u" and drop the "e" I guess! ETA: I just finished the video and he said Jun corrently....
I’ve had japanese straight perm almost every year in the last 10 years. I have long hair and so the root-curls never show because my hair’s weight pulls it straight. I don’t have bangs tho, but I know people go back to get their bangs re-touched every couple of months. I got a balayage once during these 10 years and my hairdresser was not happy. We waited 3 months after the perm and even then my ends were super dry. But just the perm on its own always leaves my hair super soft, shiny and silky. It honestly changed my life. My hair is very frizzy and thick and I used to spend sooo much time trying and failing to style it. Now I wash it and it’s like a Pantene commercial all the time.
I've had this treatment done twice and it's been life changing for me. It cuts the time I spend styling my hair in half and I barely have to touch up my hair until I wash it again. As a busy mom of 2 with super thick wavy hair, time and ease won over potentially damaging my hair. I had similar results as the second girl and it is worth every minute spent in the salon chair and every penny. Plus, in my own humble opinion, it's not more damaging, time consuming and hair alterning then dying someone's hair white blond, would you say Brad?!? 😉😎 Anyway, for me it works and I love my hair like this, even the odd wavy regrowth at the back of my head.
juliegarneauca I just did my 3rd Japanese straightening treatment and it has saved my sanity. It’s NOT for everyone, but I spend a lot less money getting one than trying to find a miracle product!

i got it done in germany, theres only one whos doing it (as far as i know..) and i LOVED the outcome. i have very fine hair, not damaged and it was still healthy a year after that. after the treatment it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO soft, silky, shiny, absolutely perfect. and it stays like that. the roots are the problem, but with my hair i can live with it for a year or even more without going to the hairdresser. i would do it again and again and again and again. :D
the second layer after they straightened it is the neutralizer! I've gotten my hair Japanese straightened for about 7 years, but since I recently decided to get full highlights I don't believe I will be continuing it. It did not ruin my hair though, and it did not make it perfectly straight.
@@irenekay7934 It reforms the hair in the straight layer. The first product breaks it down so it can be permanently changed, the second layer locks it in.
@@irenekay7934 basically stops the first step of breaking down the bonds in the hair. If you don't use it your hair will pretty much fall apart and you can get pretty severe chemical burns on your scalp.

I like my natural hair wave but it doesn’t come without a lot of frizziness, and living somewhere as humid as Japan I’d probably also feel really frustrated if my hair puffed up everyday.
Hehe I was gonna say almost that whole exact thing.
When I saw the title i was like Raaaaachel
Same, I never clicked quicker when I saw the thumbnail and saw Rachel.
Think he realizes that Mikan and Rachel went to the same salon? It's a popular salon for english speakers to go to in Tokyo called Salon Nalu, pretty neat place!
That’s what I said! I forgot about it until she mentioned it and I saw an old picture.
Yeah, it is natural 😊 I remember her saying from a video ^^
Love Rachel's hair. So pretty and yes totally natural color
Renee Archer LITERALLY I LOVE RACHEL AND JUN!!!
I love them

Jin the banana from the left In the black community, people have been harassed and discriminated against for their natural hair texture. Short hair is cut more frequently making it easier to do your thing without damage.
That's not true at all. As long as you use formaldehyde free treatments, straightening is not so bad. It can actually help bleached hair. It can help repair damage.

People with scoliosis:.......
Amarilys Castro 😂😂😂😂 oh noooo😂😂
Scrub Lorrd your pfp says it all
Lollll
LMAOOO
It’s the wavy girls that go for this type of process because their hair can’t be worn just air dried, and it also doesn’t curl or straighten well very easily, both takes WORK to not just end up a frizzed mess - I know from experience! 😩

Exactly I absolutely hate my wavy hair, yeah curly hair is beautiful but mine just isn’t its a frizzy mess and I hate it
I feel this, the top of my hair is so broken from not brushing all the time f
Do you know the brand of the straightening cream that your stylist used?
Yoli W don’t remember, sorry. Got it done at Assort Tokyo, if that helps (as I think they’re a global chain).
Would this perm work if my hair is poofy and curly, and has a lot of split ends already? Like, would it damage my hair more or not? I'm thinking of trying it out but I need advice ;-;

I’ve had curly hair my whole life and I’m proud of my curls but I HATE dealing with them 😔
Tbh it takes us so long to take care of it because we didn’t grow up learning how.
Good for you.

That's how I felt. Like he just held a biased opinion without actually talking to someone that specializes in the process.
They make it sound like all their hair is going to fall out and are going to die.

namedarmybybts you need to calm all the way down about making this shit a race thing. It is in NO way offensive for someone to call use the words wavy and curly interchangeably.
@namedarmybybts it's not only black people who have curly hair just FYI
@namedarmybybts "who aren't black" Erase that part and put "A lot of people who don't have actual tight to loose curls"
namedarmybybts my people lmao 😂 you have no clue what my ethnicity is, and regardless of my ethnicity or yours, it’s not hurting anything at all for someone to call their wavy hair curly, their curly hair wavy, their pin straight hair wavy, their loose curls unmanageable, etc etc etc. It’s not hurting anyone. It’s not offensive, derogatory, or racially charging whatsoever. It’s someone describing hair lmao. Take all this energy and put it into advocating for real issues. You have the passion to really make a difference.
Brad should react to Rachel and Jun's cats' hair, they are gorgeous gingers too! (Except poki, he's black and white shorthair lol)
Long live Cap'n Poki!😁
Owen Greene 😭😭😭 I love when he takes his 1 ginger cats on walks.
YESSSS
Who else came here after seeing Rachel on the thumbnail?🖐🏻😽
Here
Me
Rachel and Jun! Yess! XD
Yup
Pretty Paws me!!
Monicatt yep same here!
Same :D
same!! :)
I'm a simple girl, I see Rachel and Brad and I click.
I was in japan over the summer and it was ridiculously humid so it makes sense why people would want to do this. My hair was a giant frizzball the whole time I was there
Brad: "Whoa it's so straight"
Me: "Straighter than me"
I am so sorry
Omg i love you rn 😂
We stan
😁
I never laugh out loud...
NEVER 😭 😭 😭
maybe just this time tho
It's always the cute ones 😭😭😭😭 jk hahaha
Ohmygod ! RACHEL !!! She’s the sweetest human ever I love her and Jun soooo much !!!
who's that sailor moon character in your dp?
Jun in Rachel and Jun is pronounced like “June”
Actually Brad said it correctly, which was a pleasant surprise! It's very interesting that Rachel calls him "June" because the Japanese pronunciation is Jun (no elongated u)
Rachel only says it like ‘June’ because of her thick American accent haha.
Actually it's not. That would be Joon which is one syllable too long, but it's June if you don't drag out the "u" and drop the "e" I guess! ETA: I just finished the video and he said Jun corrently....
@@xsugarplum3442 *Juun? Joon would be pronounced a bit differently ☺️
Ok but it's not a big deal if Brad didint pronounce correctly like no hate we get it
yea japan is a humid hell so seeing Rachel finally getting it i was so happy
Now I wash it and it’s like a Pantene commercial all the time.
is your hair still like this?
1st video: "I've been told to never air dry my hair"... Me: remembers watching Rachel's video like a year ago... Which we watch her let her hair air dry in.... sooo
I thought she meant you shouldn't let it air dry during the treatment because it wouldn't work...
@@TheEdgyEquine yeah i was thinking it was mostly something like that which got lost in translation
@@floriansis400 not only that but my head is super sensitive to heat now more than ever. Once a blow dryer comes near me, I can feel my scalp wanting to melt
He looks like he’s from a boyband in the 99’s😭
Tought the same first time I saw his video. Thats why I clicked it and now I love him 😂
misfits unite I WANT IT THAT WAY
TELL ME WHY
AINT NOTHING BUT A HEART BREAK
i got it done in germany, theres only one whos doing it (as far as i know..) and i LOVED the outcome. i have very fine hair, not damaged and it was still healthy a year after that.
after the treatment it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO soft, silky, shiny, absolutely perfect. and it stays like that.
the roots are the problem, but with my hair i can live with it for a year or even more without going to the hairdresser.
i would do it again and again and again and again. :D
This is giving me the equivalent feeling of watching a crossover episode.
It took me 27 years to know perm was short for permanent 🤦🏽♀️
🤯
My Sister’s Keeper wait isn’t perm also like a hairstyle-
男の子操作的な yep.
And prom is short for promenade

the second layer after they straightened it is the neutralizer! I've gotten my hair Japanese straightened for about 7 years, but since I recently decided to get full highlights I don't believe I will be continuing it. It did not ruin my hair though, and it did not make it perfectly straight.
What does the neutralizer do?
@@irenekay7934 It reforms the hair in the straight layer. The first product breaks it down so it can be permanently changed, the second layer locks it in.
@@irenekay7934 basically stops the first step of breaking down the bonds in the hair. If you don't use it your hair will pretty much fall apart and you can get pretty severe chemical burns on your scalp.
My hair grows so fast it would literally be a waste of money to pay for having it straightened. Sometimes I wish I had 'calmer' hair, but on the other hand, my hair is almost undestructible, so I've learned to embrace it and love it XD
