- Dave finishes his Rhode Island trip at the staple D. Palmieri's, where he gets the cold tomato strips but is convinced to try their hot pie as well.

"Santuccis. It's the same kinda pizza except it's warm and good." Straight for the jugular lmao
lol savage
Re-watch that review that pizza is probably an 8 in today's rankings 😂
Casertas, hold the oregano.
More like Gaeta's or corropolese. Santuccis is cheese on bottom.
Santucci's has cheese under the sauce. He was closer when he started saying "sar..." Sarcones is the bakery right next to Angelo's, and they have something similar (but also looked better)
"I'm tryin to get a selfie here"
"How's that goin"
I’m not good with this f**** phone shit 😂
😂
i loved that guy. yeah me too :D
Golden words
Prez's face when he held that baby is classic 😂
Everybody knows that photo is going to be used in court.
@@pg_jem oh no... lol
That's how he always smiles for photo's..
like a chick snuck a pinky in, and he kinda likes it.
The baby looked up to him like ‘Daddy, where have you been’?
Everybody knows the mother already called Maury, just to find out he retired.
THROWS IN A RANDOM 6.5 RIGHT AT THE END! THAT KILLED ME😂😂😂😂
He was all discombobulated 😅 I think it was the baby.
😁
Lol I didn’t notice that, but it did seem accidental. He also said, keep on mind that I’m being stared down, so who k owns what the actual score is. Sone people can’t take a hint, and eff off.
@@zf5656that was definitely a good looking pie, I thinking he may have just thrown that number out there to finish the crazy review. Pie looked like it could be 7.7-7.9 honestly. Gonna have to try this spot
One bite, 5.8 to 7.5 to 6.5.. what a roller coaster!
Dave only gave it 7.5 cuz they were right over him the whole time watching. This was a 5.4 if they're not watching. U can tell Dave didn't like it cuz he took really small bites..
we see you, rare other smart one
dave just did some covert shit right there telling us the real score at the end
That was the slipperiest score to ever roll off Dave’s tongue. Probably because he burned his face off.
@@claude878878I can't speak for the taste but it definitely looked like a 7.5 pizza for Dave.
I appreciate your kindness towards fans. People need that. 💪🏽
The truth is the actual pizza reviews are not why I’m here… the footage of the wait in between is pure gold!! “7 minutes to take a selfie” 😂
It’s easy to see why he calls in the pizza and makes these as quick as possible.
@@NPCHSN Yes I get that part… but that means he misses a lot of opportunity for great content and engagement. But obviously there is only so much time. Davey Pageviews has to fall on the side of views and engagement every time no? I guess people will watch either way but my commenting here rarely has to do with the pizza itself because it involves senses I can’t use for the most part… when it hits my 6th sense - my sense of humor - that’s when I am really locked in and imagine that is how it may work for a lot of other people as well.
Lol hey it is not Dragon worthy everytime but that's a high bar
I’m lactose intolerant. I can’t even eat pizza. And I watch all these!
same here love seeing these funny random conversations between Dave and locals@@ChadGPT-1.0
You just gotta love Dave. He is just down to earth. Love him or not.. He is everyday people...
He said 7.5 and they stamped the 7.5 score logo in the corner of the screen. But at the end in summary, he said “6.5” but no confirmation logo… I think Dave was just still flustered about being a babydaddy for a few minutes, or maybe relieved that those cops didn’t have their K-9’s sniffin pockets!
The 1st score he says is the official score, everybody knows the rules
LOL I was thinking the same thing, like he has no choice but to be nice to the cops so they don't bring out the K-9
There's no way he meant that lmao... that pizza couldn't look any more mediocre it looks more like a 5.7 at best. They should just stick to their pasteries or whatever.
Dave holding that baby like a bag of groceries.
Dave was baffled the entire review.
He was just glad the cops didn't search his pockets.
Native RI'er here. That's party pizza, aka pizza strips aka bakery pizza. This stuff was always kicking around when I was a kid as more of an appetizer than anything, commonly eaten at birthday parties and other random events. When it's made well it's delicious, but no one puts this in the same category as a regular pizza. They're two very different things.
Yep, red pizza is more of an appetizer type deal in RI not a meal really
It's a side dish at a birthday party or a snack at a gas station definitely not Friday night pizza. 🤦
I’m from Mass. and had never even heard of it before going to a back yard bbq In Providence. Tried it and loved it. After that They probably would have gotten it anyway, but always made sure to have extra for me to take home. It’s not the same as pizza, but 5.8 is ridiculous. It’s way better than that.
@@seashackf1 if you got the time go check out DPalmieris man, they have so many things in the display case you can get, almost everything comes as a single option so you can build a box of all the stuff you want to try. My family has ordered from hear for years and we drive 40 min from Taunton to grab the pizza strips and then build boxes of stuff
Tomato pie is a thing in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. It's an Italian bakery/ grandma thing
I love the way he scores the second pizza 7.5 and then a few seconds later. Good pizza 6.5 lol.
I think he had “60 years” in his head….. scored it a 7.5.🤙🏻
He should do that with every pie and give us the real score when he repeats it
He was right in front of the Atwell Avenue Boys of Providence. The Blind Hitmen from the Sopranos. Apparently they’ve run a bakery as a front for 60 years. Those dogs can still hunt. Dimagio and his crew never saw a dime from when it was raining H. Everybody but them made a king's ransom. Grandpa Golina aka Lou Di Magio did 8 years when his boss dimed him out to the Feds. The cops were waiting for the Baseball bat to El Prez' head. His street instincts prevailed and ordered the hot pie and gave a phony score.

That was 100% a mistake, he wouldn't do that with the owner right there and all, slip up is all. Pie looks dece
DAVE for the PEOPLE......this guy is the DEAL....spreading LOVE.....in a time where we need it............
I'm 68 and from RI originally. Pizza strip have been around forever in RI. They're on the shelves in supermarkets, etc. I left home on my 17th birthday and joined the Air Force. The thing I miss most food wise; New York System wieners, pizza strips, Manhattan Clam Chowder and Newport Creamery Coffee Awful, Awful.
NY style and moonlight weiners!
Not many Newport Creamerys left!
Cold tomato pie like that is NOT just a rhode island thing lmao. I live in Montreal and every italian bakery does that here too....
You Chairforce boys always did love your weiners
That's just breadsticks with the cold sauce already on them 😂 tf
Shout out to my old friend from Johnston NICK MARTIN, who lived down the street from Palmieris. May you RIP buddy. Always a favorite to stop by for a strip. Miss ya.
dave is the man! meeting all kinds of people in all walks of life, treats everyone with kindness and respect. 🐐🍕
"ah come on you're here" good salesman
Daves not a baby holder everyone knows the rules 😂
This shows how females put their themselves and their children at risk. Why would you give a stranger your child to hold? Oh, that's right! All for attention.
It was weird as fuck. I don’t want to hold your anything never mind your single mother baby.
I had to skip that.
It was gross.
Case anybody is wondering “party pizza” originated because years ago the health department didn’t like that bakeries in Rhode Island we’re not able to hold hot pizza in there bakery cases. So they basically made them do something more shelf stable. So they made them take off the cheese. It’s not uncommon to see them with a little bit of grated Parmesan cheese on them. They can have regular cheese on them now but the RI tradition of zero cheese for some reason stuck
When I see that a review is over 3 minutes I know it’s gonna be a good one
I grew up eating D. Palmieri's bakery sauce pizza! Now my little daughter loves it as well! Truly the best bakery pizza in RI! Always crispy at the edges and delicious savory red sauce.. so yummy! ❤
Looked like the entire police force pulled up for a picture, that's amazing 🤣
one thing for sure.. Dave can drive 130 mph in a 30 zone and if these cops pull him over, u know he's NOT getting a ticket. These cops admired him. It's like they met their hero.
No
Amazingly dumb. Wack ass cops acting starstruck by a pizza review person just shows you how low IQ police officers really are.
What ?!! 😂🤣😂
3:22 dude really said “I looked to my left and I’m like 😂😂😂”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great stuff Dave, glad you took a picture with the cops.
I'm addicted to watching these videos.
Pizza looked very good and love the owners. Seemed like friendly hard working guys.
100%
"What is it my kid now?" hahahahahahahahahahahahhaha
She wishes.
that baby looking up at Dave was priceless
I love Dave🤍
Dave never juices the score, not even once. Everybody knows the rules.
That is incorrect! He gave his own shitty frozen pizza a totally bullshit score of 10.00. He even included a dubbed in "crunch" sound when he took a bite. Complete sellout move.
th-cam.com/video/0Ti9vXCghgU/w-d-xo.html
Original. Not cringe
Only for mediocre pizza does he juice the score if it's actually good he under scores
YOUR FATHER JUICES THE SCORE
To be honest his scores are all over the place. I bet if he tried Delucias again without knowing where it was from he would say a much lower rating
Had some awkward interactions in this video haha especially the guy who couldn’t navigate his own phone. Dave’s voice cracked saying “nice to meet you” 😂😂😂
One 7.5 cause the owner was standing there, but really a 6.5 per Freudian slip, everyone knows the rules.
Nah it was 6.5 for the actual Pie . First it was 7.5 on the Pie then Dave changes his score at the end to a 6.5 lmao
Dave out there campaigning holding babies and stuff like a prez we need
Best frigging video yet!!! Man of the ppl, Dave!
I grew up in RI, and there's a bakery in my hometown that did this style of pizza. Didn't realize it was a RI thing, but I always loved it.
I'm not a big baby holder. Is this my kid now? LOFL.
People loves Dave,One thing about him he interacts with his fans and all peoples,Very humble man.
The Adderall must be hittin lol.
@@JoSeeFuss Makes a nice substitute for oregano/basil.
That cold pizza with just sauce is an Italian thing, I live in Eastern CT and we grew up with pizza like that. Homemade and from Italian owned pizzerias
Im in connecticut, never seen cold bread strips with sauce. if its anywhere outside of rhode island ive never seen it.
OMG that baby loved Dave from the first moment. I know Dave says he doesn't want kids, but once again, the video doesn't lie. He's meant to be a Dad.
nah. someone can like kids but also not want to have them
I'm sure Dave has dodged a few bullets
That was one happy baby.
The child had no reaction. You're seeing something that isn't there.
Everybody knows kids are a waste of time and money.
That cops east coast accent was wild 😂😂😂
@@CazhTuber Yup, his family's house is in Johnston.
He actually rates it 6.5 after scoring it if you listen for it.
Nope… First score was a 7.5….
I heard the same thing. Freudian slip
He meant to say 7.5 don’t get it twisted.
Where?@@TheSilentTiger89

We got this place in Hamilton, ON called Roma Bakery, and they make something very similar. Basically a pizza dough square with sauce on top, served cold. Their sauce it more of an orange color than that deep red, so I'm not sure how it's seasoned. I haven't tried it, and I know a lot of people dismiss the idea out of hand, but I've been seeing those pizzas sold all over southern Ontario for my whole life. The place has been around for 70 years and their pizzas sell in grocery stores throughout the province. They gotta be doing something right. I need to try one at some point just for the novelty.
.....soft bread with cold tomato sauce, no cheese, char, or crisp ......yeah that's right up Dave's alley lol.
Thanks for the laughs brother.
Keep up the great work 💪👍.
When your nickname is the President, you cant claim you aren't a baby holder, everybody knows the rules.
Maybe he’s not a baby holder, but a hair sniffer
Down here, now up here.
Love it.
Woohoo almost an 8 minute video, let's go Steve!!
The most comedic thing in this video was that guy’s really out there fist up like he was rooting for Mussolini while taking pic with the Prez. 😂
Dave looking at the baby like Arnold in T2 😂😂 evey baby knows the rules !!
Dave, thanks for being so down to Earth. Keep up the good work!
7 Minutes? Let me get my comfy socks and a tea
Dave became a father in a matter of seconds, hahaha. Lovely family shot of the three of you
I always look forward to this! Any score just to get out of the there.
bro that picture with the baby thats so awesome I would have that picture hanging in the kitchen forever hahahahaa
Looks like a decent pasty pie!
I grew up in Olneyville late 80s early 90s, used to get one of these before school at Lane's. So good.
One bite, two pizzas, the Pres is catching baby fever! Everybody knows the rules.
The love Dave gets is incredible. He's just walking around like he just got out of bed, throwing out wild, random scores, being terse with everyone, and they love him for it, lol.
That baby looking down like “bruh why the fuck you holding me like this”😂
Love your strained face holding that kid!🤣
He waited till he went in to give it a 5.8.
Glad i am not the only one that noticed this too.
@@claude878878 He probably would've gave it a 7.1 if he didn't go back inside.
@@claude878878but u missed the actual score on the Pie . Nobody cares about that cold strip pizza score . The real score on the pie was at the end 6.5 after it was 7.5 lol
Dave, just couldn't wait to get the hell out of there. He's like seven point five yeah whatever yeah bakery pizza yeah okay I gotta go.😂
The vibes were way off. I'd be itching to gtfo too.
Dave doesn't understand the strips, our secret remains safe
My wife is from Maine and she hates it lol. Whenever we have a family get together and it's there, she just looks at all of us like we are crazy lol.
Is it like the seashells?
@@harborwolf22 Yes, like the 3 seashells. LOL
Are you supposed to dip it in something, put another topping on or eat it a specific drink or something?
The only topping he gets is cheese tho; of course he wouldn't care for cold tomato bread
Dave is loved by all! What a man.
We have that bakery pizza in New York too. You take it home, throw a little mozzarella on it, put it in the oven til it's crispy, and THEN you eat it.
Phenomenal idea
Dave has no idea how to hold a baby everyone knows the rules
We do that up here but mostly we eat it just like he had it
He's been to NY bakeries
NO - YOU EAT IT COLD -
The Bread - Tomato Sauce and OIL (They may use a Special Kind) cause One Piece and you can't Stop
Its a must at any Party - usually need 3 - 5 boxes
So humbling man. You’re a great person prez! Keep doing what you do!
im a rhode islander, we just call it "bakery pizza" some places truly have phemonenal bakery pizza.
This right here. We used to have an awesome bakery in Rumford, Crugnale that made awesome pizza strips. Their bakery pizza was a staple of every family gathering for decades. Covid killed the business. I still miss it.
Dave, it's a traditional tomato pie here in PA! They are usually banging here in PA they are called they only have sauce on top with spices but it's just a different flavor not everybody likes it which I can understand but I like it I'm very glad you visited Moonlight Pizza in Pennsylvania Pen Argyl Pennsylvania cuz that's where I live where I live and it is great great score for great pizza parlor thank you for putting the small towns on the map and what you've done for small businesses throughout the years and especially during the pandemic you are an awesome dude awesome dude also I love the video without santillo at santillo's Classic on here God bless you and yours
Dave is also possibly thinking of Corropolese in Conshohocken, and their tomato pie. A Philly staple. Served room temp with parmesan cheese dusted on it. 👍 Insanely good.
lol holding him up with the camera pressuring him to give a good review 😂
“Try it, give it a minute, try it” lmao
this is down the road from me and I gotta say, you have to have grown up on this pizza to love it
Dave is more comfortable holding potentially hazardous waste during the 2020 unboxing than holding a baby lol
Milanos in East Boston has the best of that style. Simple, yet perfect...
He was ambushed 😂 you can tell he was nervous by the cops present aswell
Maybe it’s not for everyone but D’Palmieris strip pizza is a gem. The bread ,the oil, the sauce, it’s so addctive. I live in Vietnam and it’s the highlight of my trips home after seeing my mother in case she’s reading this.
Yea Boy
These pizza reviews always make the roof of my mouth burn.
Im not eating a cold breadstick with sauce... LOL
2nd - - - 7.7
This cold pizza with the tomato sauce and parmesan topping is a local thing here in the RI/southeastern MA area. It's one of those things you've either grown up with and love or hate it. And I can understand why, then again who hasn't eaten cold pizza the night after drinking??!
"This my kid now?" 😆
Dave surrounded by cops was awesome! Everybody knows the rules!
wow so cool!
Thank goodness they didn't have a K-9, everyone knows the rules
all that was missing was the couch
Whats awesome about it? I think they look like dorks with all the kit they're wearing.
@@Scootermcgruder few lines for the review everybody knows the rules
Dave was so frazzled this entire interview lol😂so chaotic
Does he always exclude toppings from the pizza pie??
Always , just cheese.
I submitted a similar question!!
Cheese IS a topping.
He refuses toppings!
@@scottmcwave9479 The basic premise being, "if you can't make a good cheese pizza, you have no business trying to make something fancy."

@One Bite Pizza Reviews - Prez was thinking of Don Giovanni's Classic Bakery 346 W St Rd, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053, this style is Italian bakery Pie always served cold and heated up at home! Santuccis is upside down square pie same sauce on top cheese on bottom.
Pressured into a 7.5 Dave worried about getting jumped everyone knows the rules
As a Rhode Islander it's pretty funny that Dave refers to almost anywhere in Rhode Island as "Providence" lol
dave said 6.5 after he gave it a 7.5, which is probably the real rating everyone knows the rules
Bakery pizza is what the sauce on bread is called. I remember getting it in the summer visiting family for a beach day at Horseneck Beach...good times! 👍
If Dave was not a multi bazillionaire, he would be just as happy and just as miserable doing pizza reviews all day. Love the man.
The most odd and uncomfortable pizza review to date… Stay weird Rhode island 😂
@DavePortnoy you gotta come to Sheboygan, WI and try Il Ritrovo. Some of the best in the state.
Is it always just a cheese pizza?
I have a similar question!
No it never is...
sometimes it's a cake, sometimes it's a homeless dude
@@UndoingRuin08 made me actually laugh out loud
almost always
There are a couple of bakeries in Cleveland where I’m from that do the cold sheet pizza with just dough and sauce like that called Mazone’s on the west side and presti’s on the east side
Rhode Island pizza sucks. My Warwick mother-in-law brings her pizza strips up to MA and acts like she’s delivering a gift. Gross, wet, soggy, thick sauce on bread. I live 10 minutes from the new Sally’s Apizza, thank god.
Scachatta ! well known here in Tampa , and yes it's supposed to be cold

I worked in Johnston in the early 2000's. The family owned places were still open back then. Some of the greatest food I have ever had and it was all super cheap.
One of the guys I worked with was friends with the owner of this place and would bring those "tomato pie" slices or whatever they are called. I did not like them at first but after a while they grew on me.
