I have a livestream where I do a lot of flipping 😀 I do agree it's fun to just flip through magazines! th-cam.com/users/liveta1ZyAJXeD8?si=c1eZqKXFAu6n6XSU
If you haven’t watched “Mad Men” you absolutely must. These magazines are pure gold. One thing I do with very fragile papers is glue them to a thin piece or paper. Tyvek envelopes are perfect because they are thin and cannot be torn and allows you to cut very intricate shapes if needed.
Don’t know if I have the patience to cut all those images out. Love the art you do. Will have to start looking for old magazines. I do junk journals so I can see the smaller collages working for those. Great ideas!
It definitely takes A LOT of patience and a deep desire and want to do it 😂 Thanks so much, I am glad this video inspired you. Try reaching out to your local thrift stores to see if they ever get any that are too beat up to sell. Its great to give them a second life. 😀
Howdy do! Yep. I am viewing all of your videos! Hahahhaahah. Have you considered making origami "tip ins", envelopes, grab bags for purchase? NOT that you need those ideas. Such ideas are super low hanging fruit, so to speak. Also, have you also received those large drawing books? I have used them, like "How to draw a horse" and cut those up to make book covers, 6 pocket folders, small maps and other foldable elements to stand alone or use in collage or even small books. Soooo yummmmay! Love paper.
Hi, hope you're enjoying all of them! I try to stick to vintage papers as much as possible to "niche" myself down and also it's what I enjoy most. Always open to new ideas but have been less adventurous in the past few years. Great ideas!
Came from Rosie's channel - loved her work for a long time, so interested in seeing what you do.
Awesome! Thank you! We definitely have many similarities compositionally 😁
I love flipping through old magazines like this and really enjoyed this video. I would enjoy a whole series of just flip throughs like this.
