- Porcupine Tree - Halo
Recorded live at Live Music Hall, Köln, Germany on 19th November 2005. The intro was missing from the original broadcast but the full audio is available on the digital download audio version of this show. I reconstructed the visuals mostly by using the live animation (available on the Arriving Somewhere DVD) and footage from other parts of the show.
This is a re-upload from my other channel, which has been deleted.
Steven Wilson - vocals, guitar
Richard Barbieri - keyboards
Colin Edwin - bass guitar
Gavin Harrison - drums
John Wesley - guitar, backing vocals
4:20 -> the best moment of this song .. Keyboardist is KILLING IT in the solo!! Mother of god.
I love how tasteful Richard is even in his solos
@@absence7445 totally agree!!!
GAVIN HARRISON☝️
Damn...this is brilliant🙏
I was lucky enough to see them three times in 2005, and am so glad they released this show again on the “Deadwing” box.
La MEJOR alineación de los PT.
¡Gracias por compartir! 🍷
That snare sounds fantastic
Edwin Collin es un genio y Gavin Harrison también.
El sonido de cada instrumento esta equalizado a la perfección.
like a prog metal Blind Melon. This is awesome.
Gavin!
Thanks for holding EVERYTHING together 😃
Magnificent.
Beautiful song.
Temazo!!
Wooow! hypnotizes me every second 🤤
Gavin always cuts the outermost wires on the bottom side of the snare drum. his reason for that, in some interviews, he states that he gets more of the tone of the drum opposed to the wire sounds. if it sounds good it is good
9/8 + 8/8. Love that bridge. 3:28
Incredibe technique & rithims chage grooves Harrison.
There is no better live band than these guys....
I saw them live in Portland Oregon, un-effing-believable !!!!
Absolutely best gruppo live.....❤
Only band I've seen that was better was King Crimson, and Gavin was one of the drummers. Haha
still love it!!
Does anyone know the kind of snare drum, Gavin is playing on this gig? Sounds phenomenal!
After a bit of searching, I'm fairly certiain this was the drumset that Gavin auctioned off last year for charity. In the auction listing, Gavin himself said the snare he used with this set is a 14x5 Sonor Designer series (with the Earth finish). It sounds incredible!
@@LilyyMuu Thanks for the reply! Was it maple or anything else?
@@brownbear8936 Sadly I can't find anything about what material it's made out of. However, in Gavin's current setup, his signature snare is made of birch, while I believe the rest of his kit is maple--which leads me to think he's probably been using birch snare drums for a while
müzik amk.
