I bought their first album and didn't get it so have ignored them since. However, a chance listening to No man's land I was hooked and am slowly working my way back through their catalogue. Getting Gavin onboard was sheer genius.
The Pineapple Thief resulted in marrying my now husband who convinced me to have our baby unmedicated AT HOME in our bed. That's how DEEP this band touches the soul. EXTREMELY underrated!!! But thank GAWD they're not mainstream ❤
Though he's technically so well equiped he can play the most difficult stuff, he very often comes up with these simple and effective ones. Love how he thinks about what he wants to add to a song with his drum play.

I'm a longtime Porcupine Tree fan, but he's gone in a direction I can't seem to gel to, To The Bone was abysmal, and Future Bites is unlistenable, it gives me the hee bee gee bees. lol But this band is atmospheric and soul touching, I just love them. Can't wait to see them live.

How do I get this on dvd as I can only find Blue Ray and I don't have a Blue Ray player. Amazon show only cd + dvd Blue Ray regardless of where you look....& Region Free ? - Means nothing to me unless it's just a dvd....Does that mean any dvd player will play it, even if it's Blue Ray ? - There can be many versions but the reviews are the same so you don't know what your buying....& why release only on Blue Ray ?

the ONLY thing that frustrates me about the band is see such subpar lyrics in almost all of their songs. so repetitive no depth literally like 3 verses repeated over and over throughout the songs. IMO beautiful musicianship should be accompanied by equal level lyrics. As a true fan of progrock and of TPT this bothers me. Nevertheless still up there with the greats

I have the same problem. Music is good, but lyrics feel like some 14 year old girl's diary.
A fourteen years old trying to be deep and significant. Well crafted libretto is an art unto it's self. Drummer is killer.
