Saw Idomineo at Glyndebourne in 1974 - at age 14 a school trip in evening dress, and without supervision from teachers. A wonderful experience, although we should have behaved better during our picnic! Danielle de Niese's voice is glorious - as is her vitality; a truly beautiful chatelaine for Glyndebourne.
