I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
hi thank you for this video. im not a trained singer by any means, but have had a few lessons and over the yrs and ive been doing a lot of the things you mentioned in this video. thanks again
Could you do a clip of your entire warm-up from beginning to end? Also, I would love to hear your perspective on whether you do certain exercises for your particular voice type that are different to other sopranos that need to do other exercises for their fach?
What a gorgeous smooth silky polished voice...the rrrrr...nope. but the tone timber resonance nice very very nice projection and clean sound very nice controlled vibrato not at all warble just quick very nice..
I began with Siegrieds high C . The C in falsetto for placement . 10 times. The my pasaagio. To remember it where it is , and the trouble it gives me . The rest I just take my time with . Don't push , or force.
*Because of COVID-19, my man and I watch movies all weekend long! We watch so many movies, I get the stories and plots all mixed up! Anyways, I think I saw this singer in Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation? During the opera scene? Am I right?*
Hmmmmmm ! -------------Well !! ----------------I NEVER needed all of this when I sang PERFECTLY to every song on MY CAR-RADIO ! -------------WolfSky9, 73 y/o
Some really strange exercises - but I guess if it works for her. I was never convinced by the quality of her voice, particularly in alt. I suppose it helps to be married to the owner of Glyndebourne!
Hello: I am contacting you today because there is a considerable discussion about true bel canto and how it is done. There are four components of true bel canto: the lift of the throat, the mask of the face, the inhalation of the voice, and the holding of the breath. It is the inhalation of the voice that is causing all the discussion--some people do not believe that people can sing by inhaling thier voice. Of course, many people know a little about this way of singing and that it is called "Inhalare (Inalare) La Voce" or Inhaling the voice) to sing. I would like you to confirm that bel canto uses inhalation of the voice to produce sound. The second issue is regarding the way that inhalation of the voice occurs. In true bel canto, the voice is continuously inhaled into the mouth to create sound and air exhales through the nose which creates a swirling confluence of air...and it is an actual inhalation of the air into the head and NOT just an imagined act--is that correct. We need you to tell us if these two above mention components are how true bel canto produces sound. Thank you James LePage
This is complete nonsense. These kinds of things have destroyed opera and voices if not just severely limited them. They things she does are absolutely ridiculous and do not help the voice whatsoever. They cause constriction and imbalance.
Rubbish. Here‘s a very good singer showing a part of her obviously very well working warm up. What did you achieve besides spreading boring and offensive theories on the internet?
@I MP Always the same theoretical „golden age of singing“-rubbish. No connection to any kind of practice at all, just stupid theorizing of non-singers or hysterical fans.
I love her!!!!!!
She has been amazing since 1999 when she was only 19 years young singing Barbarina in Le Nozze at the MET.

Singing in the inhalation makes zero sense whatsoever. And singing in the mask creates a lot of constriction.
This is complete nonsense. These kinds of things have destroyed opera and voices if not just severely limited them. They things she does are absolutely ridiculous and do not help the voice whatsoever. They cause constriction and imbalance.
I totally agree. For example this stupid nasal "warmup" is completely madness. You should never, never, never form a voice in the mask.
Do you know of someone who teaches the proper way? Everyone on the internet teaches this horrible way.
Rubbish. Here‘s a very good singer showing a part of her obviously very well working warm up. What did you achieve besides spreading boring and offensive theories on the internet?
@@Beadle_Bamford listen to Callas and then listen to her. Can you hear the enormous difference? That is exactly what we are talking about.
