Transformers IDW: MTMTE 28 Excerpt- Whirl VS Megatron [COMIC DUB]

SO- this was supposed to be out legit last year/earlier this year, but unfortunately it was a mix of life getting in the way, me getting in the way of myself, and procrastination. However, with that said, the wait was worth it for me and I'm very happy this is finally out because I have been wanting to dub this excerpt for a while. Autobot Megatron is a fascinating concept and the IDW comics executed it in a great way- so I had to dub it, but I wasn't alone!

Why is noone talking about how good Rung looks with his glasses off? he ups his handsomeness without them but on he looks cute and Megatron looks so tired, physically, mentally but most of all Emotionally. Clearly regrets the decepticons not because of what he dreamt of but that he threw away it's true meaning and for turning into a monster that everyone hate and what he regrets being.

Does anyone else just feel really bad for Whirl?
He may have been the one who influenced Megatron to start the war after almost beating him to death in his cell, but it’s not like Whirl had a whole lot of options when the Senate forced him to do it. They were both victims of the ruling class at the time, but it was Megatron who took it a step further by letting his violent urges dominate his choices.
Plus it’s no secret that Whirl still gets a ton of flak from the other Autobots for supposedly setting Megatron down the path of violence, as seen by Optimus inviting him into the fold by using “forgiveness as a weapon of war”, and the entire Lost Light crew cosplaying as him during their “Person You’d Like To Punch” theme night.

Not really, yes he was a victim of the Senate, by he still made his own choices. He chose to follow orders and try to kill Megatron, granted he'd been through torture and been rebuilt by them, but it was still his choice. Everything after that, no he's completely culpable for his actions, from trying to offline Springer, being complicit in the murder of Task force X, breaking into a Decepticon Medical facility to kill a wounded Killmaster, and thousands of other war crimes he more then likely committed. We tend to forget that the Wreckers and plenty of other Autobots were just bad as many of the worst Decepticons. We like Wirl because of his Deadpool like personality and his tragic past, but I don't think we should really feel bad for him.

If anything it only reminds me why I don’t like him if he was actually sorry at the time for what he done instead of instigating or fighting Megatron he would help him instead. Because at the end of the day he’s the biggest reason why Megatron caused the war,all he proved is he was still that same guy nobody forced him to stay that way

@@chancelorhiggins-gloor6999 That was an aspect of idw transformers I liked. Yes the Decepticons became worse during the war after losing site of their original goal, but the Autobots hands are just as dirty as their enemies. Which is something other transformers media rarely tackles with the Autobots in having them be challenged on their beliefs and that not every non align cybertronian agrees with them.

The event Megatron mentioned is his past but is Rung's future, so the latter doesn't remember cos he's not lived it yet.

I've read MTMTE Megs with a TF Animated inspired voice cos of Chris McFeely's old video but this voice being like the Earthspark Megatron works pretty well too.
Using his TF Prime walking sounds was a nice touch too.
