    Hi Cynthia, I love watching all your videos, the old ones too. Once I saw gloves on your hands while working with pliers. Where did you get them? I need to find something because it got to the point where my fingers get swollen from squeezing the pliers all the time. Thank you ❤️

      Thank you Janine! My mom is actually making a beaded curtain for a door and she is using this technique that I taught her last year. She is using all kind of beads and each beaded thread is different. Thank you for watching! Cynthia

    I have never heard the term “bead tip” before. I always thought the clam shell findings were called knot covers.
    My tip to jewelry makers and lovers is to use your jewelry to decorate your house; don’t hide it away. Makes for great storage and you get to enjoy your pieces more. Necklaces make great curtain tie backs and are also lovely around the neck of a vase. Earrings work like tassels and trim dangled from lamps and other objects. Every type of jewelry works as wall decor. Small bits like rings can be arranged within a frame.
    It’s a money saver too because you spend less on decorations and storage items. It’s also a wonderful way to express your creativity.

      I have found them on the Internet with both names: “Clam shell bead tips” and “clam shell knot covers” as well as “crimp covers” sometimes too. There could be slight variations in the shape which I am unfamiliar with. Or the seller could be trying to cover all the bases by using all those names.

      Just a tip from my experience-they are made with either 2 loops like the ones Cynthia is using, or one loop that you curl down with pliers to close. I find the one loop ones are very unsecure. They can straighten out with pulling & come open. Wish I had known that before I bought them!

    Very lovely colour palette. It would be nice to see the finished necklace a little better, preferably at the start so we know what we are trying to make.

    Love it!! Thanks for sharing. My first attempt didn't go so great. My beads kept sliding over the knots. I will try again. ❤

      Keep On Blooming try using a heavier weight string or add stop beads on either side of the large beads

    Cynthia, In the tutorial where you say how much beading cord to use for the necklace you are doing, I think I heard you say 2 yards. Is that the correct amount to use? That seems like a lot. Maybe I’m wrong! Please let me know. I’m anxious to start making some necklaces. Thank you! 👍💕

    • @ArtbeadsVideos
      @ArtbeadsVideos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dona, yes I usually use about 2 yards because I like to wrap my necklace twice around my neck. So the necklace is like a multi-strand necklace. Have fun knotting! Cynthia
