      A brilliant piece of investigative journalism. He patiently and sympathetically coaxed out Rachel's victim-of-racism narrative, before masterfully delivering his 'Is this your Dad?' knockout punch. Brilliant.

      Melissa Edd the best is, she posted a Picture with some black guy and said it is her Dad on the official NAACP FB Site.
      Or that
      Dolezal’s parents also told local media outlets that their daughter’s heritage is Czech, Swedish, and German - including possible traces of Native American.
      Europeans and possibility of Native American but no African Americans xD

    • @PhantomLyric
      @PhantomLyric 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Melissa Edd She understood the question. But the interviewer was disrespectful. She said once that that was her dad. THe interview turned from that of a serious matter she cared about into a mockery. She had every right to walk away. Similar to being black in a white neighborhood and being asked by a police officer what you're doing there... "I live here" should be enough for you to mind your business and keep moving without you having to see I.D. -- There are THOUSANDS of people who are white and have close ties with the black community and to attempt to imply that she couldn't have a black father or a man she looks at as a father figure, is disgusting. She gets a lot of media attention but Melissa, as a black woman you know too well that black people, every single day, assume white identities to survive in this world. Some accuse them of "Talking white..." or "Acting white." When a black person does it, it's called being "good" or "clean cut" but when a white person does it, it's called being crazy. Funny, no?

    This makes me sad. I went to school with her in Montana. She's definitely white. She was the white freckle faced girl that was always friendly to me. I grew up seeing her at church events and I know her parents personally they are kind and honest people. They wouldn't make up something as to claim someone is their daughter who has rejected them and where she came from. I wrote Rachel awhile back on Facebook and she told me I was mistaken... why lie about where you come from? You can help people without pretending. She was always a kind person its been about 10 years since I saw her. I am praying for her and her family. I saw her Father yesterday and live next to her brother. To Rachel I say - Rachel just be honest, people will still support you, you're not a fruitcake or crazy as people say. You're just caught in a lie. Praying for you Rachel. May Jesus help you find your way back to truth, it will set you free.

      ibo beko I pray for her and her family. I read that she accused them of beating her with baboon whips. Her dad is a God honoring, humble and gentle man to hear such strange claims it saddens me. It's really sad that she someone who is not being truthful about where she is from can spread things so harmful to her father's reputation while lying about her own life. She and her family are in my prayers. Ibo, God loves you thank you for your kind comment. Don't you agree that our world needs more kindness? It is so important. I believe the teaching "be kind one to another" would change the world.

      David Montgomery I agree with you but not with Lies. All the efforts which this People invested in this Organisation NAACP will been forgotten over this Incidents. Still i hope for her and her Family only the best and also for the Organisation, what she needs is help, i think she started with small Lie, then with another one and is went so on. Then it become so huge, that became a Cluster of Lies, that it went out of control, then she reached the Point of no Return. I hope she will get helps instead of Punishment.

    Wow...ok, so....the first 8 mins of this interview, she could comprehend everything he was saying just fine, but when he asked her if she was African American, she was stuck on stupid and couldn't seem to grasp his question. Then it was a look of "I'm Busted!"...and when she couldn't quickly figure out a response without busting herself out, she runs! What in the world! This woman is delusional. She needs psychiatric help immediately!

    • @PhantomLyric
      @PhantomLyric 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      AmberakaLadyLibra I think, because we go into this being mislead about her intention we can't see why she actually left the interview. She wasn't dodging the question. It was a disrespectful question after she clearly answered it one time. If you, a black woman, passed through a mostly white neighborhood and let's say you lived there, a police officer stops you and asks "What are you doing around here," (a question many blacks have been asked in similar situations) and when you told the office that you lived there, he asks for your driver's license... you have done nothing wrong and you know it... telling him you live there should have been enough. How disrespected would you be if he now asks for proof? That's why she left... You could see it in her reaction. She is a black studies professor and has to teach on these type of "challenges to identity" every single day. Whether or not the guy is her biological father or a mentor, she said it was her dad. Period. The interviewer wastes more than 10 minutes of her time pretending to be interested in her social justice for people of color only to try to back her into a corner and challenge or embarrass her? You'd think by claiming the man as her father she had just killed 3 people. Disrespectful interviewer period.

      @jonnynice8366 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly the point I have been trying to get people to understand. She UNDERSTOOD the question perfectly, but she was take aback by his audacity. It was like "Didn't you just hear me say he was my father?" She had an aha moment. He was wasting her time.

      Stephen Pryor he performed a flawless execution of setting up for that perfect moment. she thought she saw it coming a few times.. he baited her on... once she finally felt the interview was coming to a close and she made it through the gauntlet, the interviewer recognized that look of relief on her face, and he went in for the glorious kill. the remaining moments of the interview yielded beautiful ownage written across her face littered with utter betrayal.

Why couldn't she just say "I love black culture and I want to be a part of it" and make her hair curly or whatever? I just don't understand why she had to come up with these elaborate lies about even being racially profiled and discriminated against. That is so, deeply offensive.

      To be honest I am a African American women ( black and educated with degree's) and I know for a FACT no one would've Accepted her smh. It's just the world we live in, WE as African Americans would've said she does not know our struggle so on and so forth. We would've (not you or me but our people) told her she doesn't belong with us. It's a sad case because you have Bruce Jenner who isn't doing anything to help our culture parade around in a dress and get acknowledge as hero, that it's okay. Then you have a caucasian women pose as a black women ( helping enrich and educating our race ) being assaulted and being called all names and death threats!!!!! It's crazy she been acknowledged as a African women for a decade and has done more for our people than we can ever do for our selves.. I respect her because she respects our race and see's the value in our culture!!!!!!! 😁😁 be bless!!!

      Yes we would have accepted her because guess what.... SOME ARE ACCEPTING HER NOW EVEN AFTER ALL THIS B.S. We always accept people that's our problem. Many white people are accepted as activists and guess what.... Bruce is being paraded as a hero because he's WHITE! Laverne Cox is a transgender but he's not as big as Bruce is he? That's their privilege. She doesn't value our culture she makes money off of it.

    • @Jdawes37
      @Jdawes37 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see your point Dana. I think that her charade was due to deep psychological wounds. I was just watching a past interview and she said that her parents were abusive to her and her adopted (black) siblings. Eventually she was assigned as the sibling's guardian because he said that her home was more culturally aware (or something to that effect). I think that is partly why she claimed to be black: to distance herself from her parents and become closer to her siblings. I do think she would have been accepted in the black community because its certainly be done before. All in all i don't think she meant any harm. But now this is overshadowing the excellent work that she has done for the black community because she was dishonest and that's unfortunate

    There's mental illnesses where a person lies about everything, constructing a new life and story for themselves. Things that never happened. I bet that's what she has. She deserves some backlash and should take responsibility but I hope she can get help. I could see all of this making her want to take her own life. I hope that doesn't happen. She needs therapy. She's obviously sick. I hope she is anyway. If not than she's just a really bad person.

    • @PhantomLyric
      @PhantomLyric 9 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Jack Montoya You do realize the stories about her are misleading right? She's a black studies professor. The interviewer was highly insensitive and disrespectful to present her with that in the way he did. When she said "yes, that's my dad," and he had to ask her again..." his tone was that of mockery. Whether or not he is her biological father, the fact that he brought a picture and challenged her answer to his question was a bit disgusting. She identifies with black culture and has at least a mentor or mentors who are black. I don't know who the actually guy was but she was married to a black man so he could very well be her father in law who she may have been close with. Her children (adopted) are also black. She lives and breaths black culture. She's not pretending, she lives it. She isn't crazy for it no more than white boys who love Japanese culture and anime are.

    • @WorshipInTruth
      @WorshipInTruth 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Jack Montoya Yeah, the same mental illness that all "social justice warriors" have. Funny that the leftists loved her constant and consistent lies so much that they made her the head of her local chapter of the NAACP. I would laugh about all of this if it wasn't so sick. These white haters (I am speaking of brainwashed whites, not "minorities") are seriously mentally deranged and suffer from terrible self loathing brought on by years of cultural marxist indoctrination and globalist anti-nationalist propaganda. Yeah she is a bad person, a total and complete sociopath, don't think for a second that she wouldn't quite literally slit your throat for a social promotion. These are the types of phonies and social climbers and Machiavellian opportunists who currently run the world system. If she hadn't of gotten caught she would fit right in with the "establishment" cabal-cartel..... her problem is that she didn't have parents who would forever go along with her charade as do many of our politicians and over-privileged "community activists". This decepticon reptilian cunt is not stupid, she was aware of the social trends and fads, she knew that it is now "cool" and socially-financially beneficially to be a culturally Marxist "minority" who opposes the white middle class..... she knew all of this and she took advantage of it, at the cost of her own soul, at the cost of her family and her heritage and everything. At the end of the day she is no different then any of these other God-hating white leftists, she just took it to an extreme, had a bit more balls then the rest of them. Makes you wonder how many more of these "mulattos" in the political-media-social establishment are simply spray-tan fake haired whites, this sort of thing is more common then you think. There are many blacks who pretend to be "Hispanic" just to seem more "ethnic", jews who hide their ethnicity/religion, gentiles who pretend to be jewish, whites who claim a "native American" heritage when they have practically none, I could go on and on.... anything to not be a "boring" old White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Modern society is near completely brainwashed, sick, sociopathic and utterly dystopian and backwards.

      Anon Ymous The story of a women who tanned her skin and wore fake hair and claimed to have black children and a black father so people would think she was black even though she's extremely white is not misleading. It's factual. I can't even begin to point out every wrong this you said. It would take too much time. Loving a culture, studying it, respecting it is completely fine but it does not mean you belong to it. A culture of struggle is something she can never identify with. It would be like a white boy pretending to be black and acting like he was personally affected by the Japanese internment camps.

    I just love how this woman dances around every question about her race, and carefully throws around things like "as a mother of two black sons" and "as a professor of African American Studies", etc thinking that its enough to understand the actual day to day struggles of a black person in the western world. The Black community isn't a specimen that can just be studied by a privileged person and then appropriated into their daily life. She'll never be able to understand the kind of pain that racism inflicts on someone, because at the end of the day, any of the racism she was subject to under her guise was all completely escapable, whereas the racism that any other non-white individual experiences is a sick social symptom of the characteristics they were born with.

    She fooled me bc I have biracial nieces that look just like that, then I saw her parents. Trying to rid yourself of your true identity is merely a symptom of a deeper issue often from childhood. She probably needs therapy just like Michael Jackson did, I wish her all the best.

      Mbandi Music That's a very compassionate and calm assessment of this news. It's very easy to respond with 'gut feeling' responses of finding this objectionable without knowing the history.
      I think your approach is perhaps a better approach than that of relying on one's gut response.
      I think exposing her to the world in the manner this video interview does is perhaps not very ethical.

      Julian No need for name calling while we try to have a healthy discussion. Did Michael Jackson's nose also have a medical condition? Changing ones race can also be done changing facial features, not just complexion

    • @GiaDiamond4
      @GiaDiamond4 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Mbandi Music Yes, no need for name calling. I apologize.
      Michael didn't change his nose to look white. He says his father used to always make fun of it and he never liked his nose. The complexion was because he had vitiligo and bleached his whole skin so it would all be one color, rather than patches of white. I'm not sure about the hair, but from what I remember, Michael never had intentions of being white.

      There are pictures of her as a child with silky straight blonde hair. Her hair texture is definitely not due to her ethnic background, she is pretty much fully white.
      As for her epicanthic folds, eye shape doesn't determine your ethnicity either. As her mum stated, she only has very distant Native American ancestry.

      Well, her parents said she grew up around black people and always embraced black culture. Her adopted brothers and sisters were black. She probably just always wanted to be like them. She probably dreamed of having brown skin and curly hair and decided to just reinvent herself and live her dream. It is crazy to change your race, but she is/was happy being perceived as a black woman. Some black people have said they were mixed with that age old "I got Indian in my family" line, without it being true. So...idk. She wasn't trying to "act" black she wanted TO BE black.

Yeah, there are people's who claim to have "indian" in their family yet they don't start filing government papers to receive funding. They don't then move to reservations. They don't build a fraudulent life off the identity of that marginalized group. That's the kicker. It's so sad.
