So she was fascinated with black culture once her siblings came into the picture that she wanted to change her entire identity. Sad thing is she could have done everything she wanted to do without pretending to be black. Down to the style, her work etc. She didn't have to lie to be accepted by black people. She could of embraced our culture without all the lies

I think this stems from her wanting attention at a young age her parents adopted black foster children, foster children need a little more attention, she saw they were getting a little more attention than her, so she somehow correlated that attention to the fact that they were black children and not because they were foster children, so to cope with that she tried to make a black identity and it stuck with her.

It’s interesting that Rachel who shows a pattern of deceit and narcissistic tendencies-and not white lies but extensive ones, and people here are absolutely sure everything she said about her parents are 100% true and not her perspective of it. Some people speak differently doesn’t mean they are creepy. They aren’t used to interviews so what if they come off not natural. She dissociates herself and completely denounces any part of her that is white and focuses on saying all of us cake from Africa. There is nothing wrong with saying I want to support a certain culture, race, etc yet she take it to the extreme and wants to abolish their heritage which includes her parents who are white so she does not want to be connected to them.

They can repent and confess their sins, and ask forgiveness and be restored. That is what Jesus came to do for us. That is what Rachel needs to do. If you knew her parents and family, you would love and respect them. Every person is responsible for their own behavior. Even King David, the man after God’s own heart had some very wicked sons. I hate this for Rachel and the Dolezal's. What Rachel has done is sad. Hoarders keep friends and family at arms distance because they are ashamed of how they live. Rachel is keeping her family away because of her shame from what she's done. To reconcile, the parents can't do interviews like this because it adds to Rachel's shame.

Several years ago a woman found out she was black and was angry with her mom because both live their lives as a white people. This happened in the 60's when racial tensions were higher than they are now. Her mom was a light skinned black woman and her father was black with dark skin. Before she was born her mom moved up north is where she met her white husband. She made up a story that the father had died. Her mom would never go out during the day especially in summer months, she would always wear gloves and big hats to shield her from teh sun if she had to go outside. She even recalled her mom wearing make-up to bed and when asked why she said if there was an emergency she wanted to look her best. She recalled her dad who was a racist using the N word during the civil rights movement and her mom calming him down. Well her parents died and she wanted to know more about her real dad. She traced it back to one of teh southern states and saw the birth certificate. It listed her mom name race C as in colored ... it listed the father name race C then all the things her mom did to hide her true identity came back and she was angry. She lived a better life guarded by racism and how many times her mom lived through the racist comments by her husband. If Rachel Dolezal father is white she's white and its nothing to be ashamed of don't do as this mother did and live the lie blacks are angry because they had struggled to get where they are and she like most white people do took it away by playing black. This is another form of racism its like she made like she was black to gain what black people have.

I don't believe all is true with any of them. This is mockery and hiding truths about what happened in that house. What does the children that where raised by them have to say about their abusive behavior. They probably did abuse those kids. I wanna hear from them.

I'm going to say this years later.. as I've had time to reflect... she doesn't look like either one of her parents to me she looks sort of like her dad .. looks are subjective..but as a white woman she's not attractive.. so I can see why she transformed herself to be black because she's more attractive as a black woman and that's just the truth.. she looks great with braids she looks great with kinky hair... and I think that she needs to do an ancestry DNA because somewhere down the line there's some black there.. now we can all say we're all black because we just found out that the mother of society is a black woman..🙄 but moving forward when she looks in the mirror I can see why she don't see white.... when you're thinking of aesthetics like she was talking about with the hair.. she didn't like the way she looked as a white woman and neither did I... I think she looks totally better as a black woman and she knows it too ..of course that's embarrassing for her parents or the people who say they're her parents ..I just feel like the dad had a fling with a quadroon..or something... but even if that were true she will still be classified as white.... and I'm not taking up for nothing that she did ..of course she has multiple personality disorders and that's these people fault who are saying they are her parents... 👆🏾.. a mother knows her child this woman needs to come clean about what they did to Rachel... something happened to her in a formulative years that they are responsible for.. 🤷🏿‍♀️
and I also have to say this because I was raised in a so-called Christian household as well okay.. the smug quiet pious look and tone of the parents hides anger rage and severe abuse.... I've seen it with my own two eyes with my own parents my mother is a pastor and talks just like this woman quiet and pious and Jesus this and Jesus that when the cameras go off and she steps off that Podium.. she's a DEMON.. the biggest you ever want to see in your life ..she's a whole fraud and because she knows how to play the Christian woman to the hilt she fooled so many people in the church and in the street.. but at WORK and in her Personal Life the true her comes out...
at work everybody hates my mom.. she's a troublemaker she's a backstabber she's a liar she gets people fired for no reason she talks about other women who she's jealous of calling them ugly all kind of stuff she's a ugly lonely woman on the inside Monday thru Sat.. but on Sunday and on special days when she has to perform ..like David Koresh...she's loving and pious and she talks so quiet ..she's a FRAUD...
I know a fraud when I see one... and the mere fact that she had to deal with two frauds in her life because the dad looks extremely scary under the cover of night...
these people are putting on an act... and they got the town fooled... but they can't fool me... this ole woe is me pity party that the parents is putting on is the most fraudulent acting job I've ever seen in my life..
maybe this is where their daughter learned it from 🤔

The key is when they say she changed after they adopted 4 children. It sounds like she felt horrifically marginalised, so assumed a new identity of a people who were equally marginalised in her eyes. Shit parenting, basically. I think she was felt traumatised by getting fucked over by her parents adopting 4 new siblings, that she 'adopted' herself into a new family. It also seems rather striking that she campaigns for a her new identity as a way of taking revenge on her parents who were campaigning in their own right by adopting. Using their weapon against them. Rachel is obviously a fantasist, delusional, and a pathological liar, but in her interviews she also seems kind and good-hearted - it's bizarre to say it, but it just strikes me that's the truth. A pretty tragic story.

Who knows if any of these abuse issues are true? I don't think I could believe a word that comes out of her mouth, The fact she uses her son in the manner she does by exposing him to the docum on netflix, Where he clearly states, He doesn't want filming, That is abuse by her towards her son. She doesn't seem to care about anyone other than herself, She continually plays the victim card, She is a proven liar, Not just on small things, Her whole made up background from her own mouth, Is beyond insulting, But the worst thing for me is how she uses her son with no conscience for her actions. I truly feel "their support from the community" is rooted from their communities own biases (it's obviously a rural community). I'm not sure where her parents stand with the community as far as being active but it's highly plausible that's the reason Rachel Dolenzal's white privilege could never help her here because it would be going against the grain, so the community would be more inclined to support her parents. What I do know is that kids just don't lie on and hate their very loving parents for no reason, especially a highly educated one at that. I see a sense of victimization on both sides but only one has privilege on their side in this situation and it isn't Rachel.

God sees the heart and Rachael needs to stop lying about everyone else. She needs to start telling the truth. She is self-deceived. Pride will take you down! “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble!”

Their support from the community is because of their honorable character and service.

It’s sad to see her parents. They are minimizing her behavior which I understand. It can’t be easy to admit your child is an anti-social, lying grifter. Why it is that the kind parents get the unappreciative brats for kids ??

Her parents didn't do nothing wrong. They gave this interview because she depicted them as monsters and they have the right to defend themselves from false accusations even if they are her parents this doesn't mean they have to accept everything.

The rest of the family live normal lives. Rachel is the one who needs deliverance from lying spirits.

From my own observation this is a nice loving couple but they have anger management issues that led to some abuse issues with Rachel but in any case they should have tried though relatives and members of their community to make amends with their estranged daughter before doing this type of interview
