- We continue our journey through Mexico by leaving the Pacific coast (Barra de Navidad) and heading up in elevation for a stop in the "pueblo magico" of Mazamitla, Jalisco, and then on to Ajijic at Lake Chapala.
A popular expat heaven, the dogs and I experience Ajijic first hand, including going to market and looking at rentals.

Thanks so much for the information! I should go to the museum.
Enjoyed your video. I’m currently living in Mazatlan, but trying to escape the summer heat. I have the potential to rent a place in for three months however I’ve heard from other TH-camrs that the lake is really low and full of algae and smells. Wondering if you have any comments about that and if it affects the enjoyment of staying there?
I was just telling someone, the one thing I really don't like about the area is the lake. I've been told there is raw sewage and mucho chemicals flowing into it. I did not detect any smell but it's very low. It is not a healthy body of water and for me, that does effect my perception of the area.

@@MoraMargaret-yx1uz and the fish you buy there or eat in restaurants, is it from the lake? Is it used to water the agricultural areas?
