I purchased a 2020 Tri Glide last December. Only got to ride it for about 100 miles before winter kicked in and salt hit the roads here in Wisconsin. After being on 2 wheels since the late 60's, this sure is different. Putting my feet down and leaning were the biggest issues to overcome but a few rides this spring I got the hang of it. So far I could not be happier. I work on Harley's for friends and a few regular customers. My only concern is if I need to test ride one of these bikes I'll remember to put my feet down again!
I am almost 65 and looking to buy a HD trike as my first motorcycle. My brothers have been riding for over 30 yrs. This video gave me a lot of good info to consider.
Younger guys always think we have 1 foot in the grave . I’m capable of running 2 wheels but I like the security of 3 when riding double and nice on u turns and sight seeing at low speeds . Good video aside from that .
You hit the nail right on the the head. I can ride on two wheels but my wife feels so much more secure on three. I purchased a 2021Trike and love it. It definitely is smooth with plenty of power, and people are fascinated with my Trike. I get a lot of compliments on the Billiard Red color and people give us a lot of thumps up on the road.
On the contrary about cornering a TriGlide, you don't have to "baby it" going into a turn. The steering dampener limits your degree of turn (making unreasonable an dangerous 90 degree turns impossible) while the IMU (Inertia Measurement Unit) reduces power to the contact rear wheel if the other rear wheel gets airborne into a turn. It all works in conjunction with TC. I have a 2020 TriGlide Ultra with 14K and while that does not put me in the same class as many other riders, it does say that I do know what I am talking about. Ride safe everybody!
@@hulkhuggett Actually, I feel safer on my TriGlide than I do in y Kia Forte. Lane changes don't bother me except the stupid cagers that don't acknowledge my blinkers.. No probs with curbs if you stay in the center of your lane (even an imaginary lane). Rsmf.
I’ve had bikes since ‘84, Harleys since ‘08 and I can see possibly transitioning to this one day. I mean, the view to the front and sides is exactly the same, the wind is the same, the apparel is the same so why not, if I can experience it for another 10 years or so.
I didn't get my Tri Glide because of physical limitations, it was the limitations of the two-wheeled motorcycle. I couldn't even go grocery shopping and bring home more than a quart of milk. I get everything I need on the trike. I like the new riding experience of a trike, especially on overnight trips. It is different. Less things to worry about means more fun enjoying the trip.
Hell I am 61 and the only reason I bought a new 21 Tri glide was the wife. She just wanted to be on the back without being on a two wheel. She never rode with me before. So I bought it and an enclosed 6x10 trailer and a new RS Blazer to take it on big trip vacations. Going to Daytona in March out west in May and Sturgis in late summer. We cannot wait for March to get going.
Biggest think I HAD to change on my 2020 is the chrome tank lid.... I switched to black. Why, cause then the sun is directly overhead it can reflect a bit too harshly off the chrome and can be distracting (and annoying). It is nice that I can still be in love with the open road again!!
Very informative! Seeing a lot more younger folks riding the triglide. One of the best videos I've seen. I currently have a 2022 CVO TRIGLIDE and love it! Thank you for sharing brother!
Man thank you so much for the trike education, I never ride a trike since 15 years old I always ride to wheels now I’m old 56 I got some knee problems and I decided for the greatest change on my life . Like a said thank you for your information on how to drive the trike on the city , on the country road and on the highway, God bless you man , thank you from Houston Texas. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
My wife and I purchased a 2021 Trike in May of 2021. After years of riding two wheels we are now retired and 70. I am six foot two inches but my legs are giving out. We decided to purchase the trike so we could continue riding until we just can't. The windshield on the trike is perfect for me The wind buffering is coming from the bat wing vents, not the height of the windshield. Around town or slow on the back roads you can open the vents. But if you get up to hight speeds, and the vents are open one inch or all the way, your hair is going to get messed up. The vent on the backside of the windshield works great. It will even keep the rain blowing up and over your face.
I really appreciate this video. I have always wanted to ride but never was able to due to finances, raising kids, etc. Next spring I am looking to learn to ride and buy one as a dream vehicle! Thank you my friend!
I wish you good people would not make it sound like whoever buys one of these has one foot in the nursing home and the other on a TriGlide. By the way I still have and ride my Sportglide.
Your tour of the tri glide was It was informative of the bike handles in different format. We just purchased a new 2022 tri glide And plan on putting some miles on. Take care a ride safe.
Your review I find very useful, I was involved in car accident while I was riding a motorcycle, my ankle is broken I can't ride a two wheels due to trauma I went through but I still want to ride something more a safe like tricycle
Other benefit of the Triglide is it with you don’t wind up with some meat head trying to pull up in the same lane as you add a traffic light and then squeeze you out as you takeoff of course you can pretty much walk away from most cars.
I was in a motorcycle accident 2yrs ago, my knee and back are messed up and I can't hold up a 850lbs bike anymore. I'm 38 and looking at the tri glide and freewheeler as not being in the wind at all SUCKS
We got our 1st triglide this year. Went from SW Ky to Kearney Ne. Spent more time in the saddle than on the ultra classic. Only problem was when we got caught in the rain in the middle of nowhere. No underpasses or anything in sight of a cross road to hide under. We hydraplaned at an intersection.
I just bought a ultra classic MotoTrike conversion! I absolutely love it now I can go riding with my hubby!!! Thinking about getting a freewheeler 😁! I’m addicted
I have a 2021 tri glide. It's a different animal. Rides nothing like a motorcycle. I'm getting use to it I like it. Haven't been on a bike 7 years. I did put my foot down 1st time out
They fix the issue with the rear brakes. It's been known that there's been instances that one of the rear brakes can lock up going down the road at highway speeds on the newer models especially 2019 and 2020
Don’t forget to mention that if you try to back up with the parking brake on or anything else it will pop a breaker under the right cover that you have to reset this is a typical problem with all the Triglide‘s
Thorough information, thank you I'm intrigued. My bf is trying to get me to ride but I'm most comfortable riding this! 2 wheels intimidate me, I'm even shaky on a Trek bicycle I just bought🚲 I'm 30. This looks fun safe and comfortable :D
Best tri glide review! out there, helped me make an informed decision , having SECOND hip replacement. traded in my CVO Road King. Love this trike, i do a lot of 2 up riding. it's GREAT
@Santo Russo No, it's like a car, but with handlebars, you just steer the way you want to go. You do have to take corners much slower than 2 wheels though.
My tag says goldwing but after riding for over 50 years I got myself a 2020 harley trike last oct. Steering on a trike is more push and pull combination than leaning into your turn to assist. It takes a bit of getting used to but it gets easier every day.
The ride is bumpy going over even small bumps and the front end moves slightly when going upper peeds. Steering needs mucle power to the point my neck, arms and shoulder was in pain. I put 12 inch apes and a lift kit on it now it steers great. I also put a 15 inch windshield on it. plenty of power and would not trade for any other bike
ridiculous if anyone thinks you need to be injured or old to ride a trike... probably better than two, the only negative is that definitely getting stuck in traffic because there are too many cars on the road... and my knee doesn't hurt I'm not limping.....damm it😂
Great video. However, Harley needs to improve on the technology and especially the creature comfort. A Goldwing it is not. However, a Harley is a Harley. Imagine if Harley imitated a goldwing? What a bike it would be.!
That was the first thing I changed. It came with a stubby windshield and I changed it to a 15 inch - much better slipstream over the driver and less bugs added to the diet (not to mention helps when raining). 8>)
$38,000 and old tech bulbs in tail lights/turn signals. H-D should find another model to shortchange their customer. Oh, they have.If this is your best trike salesperson, you're in trouble.
Kyle you make riding a Tri-glide sound like a guy who finally has to put down his horse and then take viagra. Worst sales pitch ever. I’m sure HD corporate is watching this cringe worthy video.
I suppose you’re right. With the new suspension upgrade in 2019 you can fine-tune these suspension For your weight. It takes a while to get it tuned in perfectly. But when done I guarantee they don’t ride like crap they are smooth operating machine with great suspension. Different roads require different suspension adjustments. Most people don’t continuously adjust the suspension for the ride they’re going to do that day. But if you know the road conditions for the day you’re going to ride and set the suspension properly,it is beautiful!
I'm 29 with no injuries whatsoever and for some reason I find this more appealing...
I’m 31 I got the 2010 tri glide

Going to 3 wheels after 50+ years of 2 wheels would be difficult for sure. Glad you're getting the hang of it, though! Ride on, brother!

Do you ever feel unsafe making lane changes at highway speeds, or unsafe making any turns, or getting too close to a curb?

Thank you, Kyle, Appreciate your sincere comments. It'd be a real pleasure to ride with you.
Blue skies and following winds.

Great video. I just ordered a 2023 in Metallic Silver for my 27th Sturgis.

Great job on the Triglide video, Kyle. I am on my second Triglide purchased at Outlaw and couldn't be more impressed with my 2021.
Thank you, Robert!
Great job with this video man. Great information. This video made me pull the trigger. Thanks again
Glad this helped you make your decision! Congratulations!
I wish you good people would not make it sound like whoever buys one of these has one foot in the nursing home and the other on a TriGlide. By the way I still have and ride my Sportglide.
I’m with you on this one, that’s bs for them to say that
Your tour of the tri glide was It was informative of the bike handles in different format. We just purchased a new 2022 tri glide And plan on putting some miles on. Take care a ride safe.
Excellent video, very helpful.
Great video, very informative, thanks so much for doing it.

Thank you for this review. It sold me for sure! My Dad and friends will be happy.
We'd love to earn your business! If you all have any questions, don't hesitate to text or call us at 816-224-5005.

Suggest you change out the stock shocks and put a 1.5 lift kit. Makes all the difference in riding comfort and handling.
I was in a motorcycle accident 2yrs ago, my knee and back are messed up and I can't hold up a 850lbs bike anymore. I'm 38 and looking at the tri glide and freewheeler as not being in the wind at all SUCKS
I really enjoy my 2024 tri glide ultra
Yeah, I enjoy the video and I love it. This is my dream come my dream to get a holiday three wheelers
Excellent informative video. I have a 2018 Tri Glide and love it
Awesome job ❗️ Thanks

Did anything bad happen other than shitting your pants? How fast were you going?
This is a great video. With HD producing electric motorcycles recently, can we expect an electric version of the Tri Glide in the future?
I just bought a ultra classic MotoTrike conversion! I absolutely love it now I can go riding with my hubby!!! Thinking about getting a freewheeler 😁! I’m addicted
Great info thank you
I think it's good for senior citizens also! 👍❤️
How about the difficulty mounting & dismounting? I have trouble.
Really curious how they are in heavy rain with those fat tires out back
Is Harley going to use DCT soon?
I have a 2021 tri glide. It's a different animal. Rides nothing like a motorcycle. I'm getting use to it I like it. Haven't been on a bike 7 years. I did put my foot down 1st time out
Great video. Answered many of my questions and concerns. I've ridden one once last yr at a demo days but will be trying them again.
I didn’t buy mine because of some kinda injuries, I bought it because of look and feel
They never tell you that when they reviewing them. I bought mine also for the looks and feel :)
Best review ever!!! Thanks!

For me the parking brake is located about where my side stand was on my Soft Tail so I don't forget.
I'm retired military and went with a Sportster after 30 years of not riding. Nothing like having knees in the breeze regardless of how you get there.
Liked the review. Didn’t hear it was fun once?? We’re forced to make the switch from an ultra. We ride a lot of distance. Thanks
Faboulas!... Great, no "Bullshit" Vid. Thank you so much. Here, in the UK, it is quite expensive. But, I will buy one!
Thorough information, thank you
I'm intrigued.
My bf is trying to get me to ride but I'm most comfortable riding this!
2 wheels intimidate me, I'm even shaky on a Trek bicycle I just bought🚲 I'm 30. This looks fun safe and comfortable :D
The Harley Website states RDRS standard on the 2021 Triglide
good video. Thank you sir
Thank you
You're very welcome, Mark!
You should talk more about front end Rake, how it steers . How the angle compares with the std. Electra glide.
Thanks for the review. Great job!
Is there grease zerks on neck of frame?
What light is flashing on the tac?
Great review, thanks ! I always wondered how it handled in the corners. Does it come with any bigger tank options??
Best tri glide review! out there, helped me make an informed decision , having SECOND hip replacement. traded in my CVO Road King. Love this trike, i do a lot of 2 up riding. it's GREAT
I want that. Snake venom green one
great vid brother, thanks
I’d like to see a freewheel review.
We've got that on the schedule! 👌
What happened to heated grips
Whats up with the constant blinking light?
PHENOMENAL✌ "(#Harley_Davidson)" #FreeWheeler Is the #TRIKE I got my 👀 on
What's the average mileage for a gallon/litre(gas)?
What about the steering ? ive been riding two wheels my whole life and counter steer do you counter steer or is it different ?

A 40 grand touring vehicle that doesn't have heated grips as standard? Please tell me I'm wrong. 😢
Show!!!👏👏👏
Can you get power steering with it ?
i’ve got a son who weighs 300lbs and i weigh 190 lbs can the trike handle all this weight
Which country is this!? US!?👍
This bike is perfect for me as a beginner I prefer a 3 wheeler than a 2 wheeler.
me too my friend! I'm a pre-beginner! Gettin' my first motorcycle at 51 next spring!
The tri glides come with the rdrs system
ridiculous if anyone thinks you need to be injured or old to ride a trike... probably better than two, the only negative is that definitely getting stuck in traffic because there are too many cars on the road... and my knee doesn't hurt I'm not limping.....damm it😂

It’s possible to tip trust me lol
i not hear its sound exxust
3 wheel it is motorcycle or not ??
Yes it is, but the exhaust's go under the trike right to the back of the boot before they surface, so all the sound comes out the very back.
2:30
Nice 👍🏻
Tôi thích con xe này tôi ở Việt Nam! Làm thế nào dc
Tôi khog biết nói tiếng anh
If it's a touring trike it needs a touring windshield.
That was the first thing I changed. It came with a stubby windshield and I changed it to a 15 inch - much better slipstream over the driver and less bugs added to the diet (not to mention helps when raining). 8>)
I thought people bought triglides because they CHOSE to do so...
To much talking on the age shit its enough to make you think you must be an old man to ride these
$38,000 and old tech bulbs in tail lights/turn signals. H-D should find another model to shortchange their customer. Oh, they have.If this is your best trike salesperson, you're in trouble.

Ummmm, some women prefer to ride the Tri Glide, and not just be a passenger.
i’ve got a son who ways 300 lol
Please DO NOT, use abreviations, eg "RDRS", as (Like me) not everyone knows what the fuck your talking about!
They ride terrible, handle crappy and shifting is extra loud.
It’s a trike bro
I suppose you’re right. With the new suspension upgrade in 2019 you can fine-tune these suspension For your weight. It takes a while to get it tuned in perfectly. Still no independent rear suspension
I love mine. And I'm 72 ... Lol
