I ride a Harley Freewheeler and I love it!!! I personally don't understand why people have a problem with a trike, you're face is in the wind and knees in the breeze. The name of the game is to have fun. Enjoy that wind therapy. Stay safe.
Fun is the name of the game, no matter how you go about it! If they were minding their business, they wouldn't be minding yours. Just gotta get out there and enjoy the ride👍 Thanks for watching!
When riding a trike, you got to remember how wide you are at the rear. Lane position in traffic is important, and be careful whe pulling up to gas pumps. Rear fenders are expensive!
I love my Tri-Glide! It's true you can't split lanes but that's not legal where I live anyway. Steering is different but you quickly get used to it. With its weight and stability it's the bomb for long rides on the highway. Bonus: the passenger doesn't need to know anything at all about riding a motorcycle so it's ideal for a single guy. I carry an extra helmet in the trunk so whenever I meet a lady who says, "Gee, I've never ridden a motorcycle but it looks like fun..." I have it covered. ;-)
Oh yea! Took a little getting used to, but it turned out to be a great ride on the trip we took right after this. It took the passenger a few miles to get used to having to hold on a little tighter, but other than that, great times! Always gotta have that extra helmet just in case! Thanks for watching, Kelton 👍
My two wheel days ended in 2012, been riding Big Al ever since, a three wheel conversion to a 2006 GL 1800 done by Champion CA side cars. Over 112,000 miles of good riding time since. When the world deals u a bump take a new path to do what you love to do. There are always new paths available in life.
Seeing Lance on a trike made me not only smile but a near toothless grin from ear to ear! You go Lance! Ride that trike proudly! Savor every moment! My knees and hips pushed me into trike when I originally said I'd drop over dead before I'd get on a trike! And look at me now! I illegally split lanes on my trikes in Texas! Yes it will fit Lance ! When life gives you lemons make margaritas!
Haha he was in a similar boat and ended up loving it! Happy to be back on two wheels, but definitely enjoyed the time spent on 3. Took a little getting used to, but we may or may not have done a little lane splitting a well lol
Rented a tri glide in Vegas. Took the back way into Henderson which is curvy mountain roads. By the time we made it I was comfortable with the trike and was having fun
Go for a trike it’s as fun as you make it. Older couple 72 married 55 years love our trike (2019) enjoy not having to fight with the heavy weight of Ultra Limited. Takes a week you’ll be a super star on that tri-glide....enjoy thanks guys for sharing.
Wife and I purchased a tri-glide new in 2019 we love it. Ben all over the country on it. We’ve got three weeks + this summer to burn up some miles. And yet we haven’t figured out where we’re going. Since we’re up north we just head south on it and go.
Awesome!! Sounds like you've got endless opportunities for exploring, and heading south is a great start. Just wingin' it! Thanks for watching, Bruce 👍
Great to see you on the Trike in 2018 I gave up my two wheel’s for a trike because of bad knees and once I got use to it, I love it no more worries of my knees giving out and dropping the two wheeler
The middle of the night after another 18 hour day an can't wind down. I'm still amped up and ready for another hvac call. Coming off a dismissal winter and spring was short and here comes the Texas heat and I'm fired up and loving it! My custom rotisserie style cvo tri glide with a screaming eagle 131 is coming together and I can't wait to see those ultawide 14 inche tall meat hooks and the true duals with bang sticks will krack any cool morning to attention 😀
We have done two tours with Eagle Riders, the first one in 2016, Route 66 tour and hired a 2016 Indian Chieftain. In 2018 the second tour which was the Triple B, New Orleans to Chicago we hired a 2018 Harley Tri-Glide Trike the main reason is that my wife felt safer on the trike. Even though we had a mechanical problem with the trike 2 days before the tour was finished, I really enjoying riding it. Two other couples on this tour voiced they should have also hired a trike. I enjoyed the trike that much I imported a Roadsmith Trike Kit and fitted it to my 2016 Indian Chieftain. It sure draws the crowd when I'm hitting the roads here in New Zealand, the handling is outstanding and easy to ride. We are heading back to the States mid next year, another tour with Eagle Riders, Salt Lake City to Denver. We have arranged to hire another Harley Tri-Guide Ultra and hopefully the latest 2023 model if it has been manufactured.
Awesome, thanks for sharing Geoff!! We'll be renting some Eagle Rider bikes next month to go check out Kentucky and are very excited! Sounds like you guys have some great riding ahead! We have a link with Eagle Rider to get you a discount when it comes time to book a trip, so feel free to save the link for when the time comes. Thanks for the support! www.eaglerider.com/?LaneLife
I think I'm ready to ride a trike after watching this be better than just looking at my bike sitting in the garage I've been letting the stroke keep me down too long thanks guys for the video
After this, and the 4 day trip we took up north, Lance had a blast on 3 wheels! Really made an otherwise difficult time very easy and smooth. It could be a great option for ya 👍
He was loving it! Definitely was a good perspective seeing how that thing felt. After the 4 day trip up on the coast on three wheels, he had a great time! Thanks for watching, Jim! 👍
Love my Tri Glide and the fact I can still ride. Lance is right, steering is kind of a reverse counter steering. Push with the outside arm into the turns and use the inside arm to do the fine tuning on the turn. He's going to find that his shoulders and back will get more of a workout than 2 wheels also. They are great for touring and do much better in the wind than 2 wheels. Now put some Legend suspension on it and you'll really get a great ride. Enjoy the trip to Monterey, can't wait to see the video, miss living there.
Oh yea! Being able to hit the road is all that matters. It sure is a different experience, but after some seat time, it was great. Back on two wheels now, but if we ever find ourselves owning a trike, Legend Suspension it is! Thanks for watching, Lela 👍
Rented a roadglide from that same eagle rider back in 2020. Did highway 1 up to San Luis Obispo and back. Bucket list ride checked off for sure!! Good to see Lance back at. Ride safe gentlemen!
Cool video, real people, real life and yep...some days might start off kinda slow but then just get better as the day goes on. You guys were here (Hawthorne) in my neck of the woods. Picking up a Trike from Eagle Rider. Have never rode a Trike myself, but listening to the comments [about the handling, the what to do and not do] were both informative and entertaining. Thanks for making the video! Tom M., Hawthorne, Ca. '21-RGS (Snake Venom/Black) & '22-FXLRS (Black/Bronze)
Thanks, Tom! Glad you're diggin' it. It was definitely an interesting experience on 3 wheels. Took a little getting used to, but it was a great time just being able to get out there and enjoy some riding. Back on two now, but grateful for the experience. Sounds like you've got the perfect bikes for a little bit of everything 🤘
I was wondering if Lance might try out a trike, converted my Indian over to a trike last year with medical reasons but the knees are still in the breeze! Looking forward to the ride videos
Yup, that trike came in handy for the following trip, and it was a great time! Back on two wheels now and loving it. Never seen an Indian trike, that's awesome!
Found you guys by accident. I was looking for information about riding a Trike. Like a lot of others my age the body don't work as well. Bad knees. Have a 2022 Tri Glide sitting at Riverside HD which I will pick up as soon as my knee Dr. gives me the OK. Your video caught my eye particularly because I'm taking the same route up the coast to see grandkids in San Jose. I'll watch with interest and maybe we'll meet some day since we both live in So Cal. Ride Safe. Keep the front tire in the middle of the lane. My 2cents.
Awesome, thanks for watching, Clyde! Lance broke his tib/fib in February while we were riding on a dirt adventure trip (on his 62nd birthday), so as soon as he was cleared, we got a hold of the Tri-Glide. It took a little getting used to, but after a day or 2 in the saddle he was loving it. We have a hard time keeping him off the line on 2 wheels let alone 3 lol. But yes, front wheel in the center is a good tip👍 We'll be releasing a 4-5 episode series riding up the coast with 2 trikes in the group starting this coming Wednesday, so stay tuned! We've got tons of other great vids exploring the country on two wheels! Thanks for watching Clyde, we'll see ya down the road 🙌
Great to see Lance back on the road! A buddy of mine took me on the back of his bike to pick up a new bike I bought, yeah it was an experience. He also complained about my weight compared to his wife...... You guys are so right about the people you meet through motorcycles. I'm a member of the Honda Fury Forum and I can't count the number of friends I have made all over the world just through having a Honda Fury. Not only that the number of countries I have ridden in with Fury buddies still amazes me. My last big ride from San Francisco to Austin TX was amazing, I had an escort through all the states as I met up with forum members as I was riding through. Also been my pleasure to host them in return when they have come down under to Sydney. If may make a suggestion, perhaps one of these days you may wish to make a video of a ride to Cooks Corner and Hell's Kitchen as those of us outside of the USA never see biker bars. Keep up the great work!
He's glad to be back! That's awesome, thanks for sharing! Pretty crazy how a shared passion can bring people together. So many niches and unique interests out there. Sounds like you've done some serious riding out here! We'll have to make it down there and film! Hell's Kitchen is closed as it burned down a few months back, but there is some great riding out there that we could still capture. Thanks for the suggestion, we're always looking for new places to share 👍
Hi guys, try to follow you as much as possible because of the time difference of 9 hours is always a bit delayed but what do you give the motorcycle driving pleasure. 2 lane . Great Regards frenk from Rotterdam Netherlands.
5 back surgeries already at 40 years old. I can ride a bike i just cant stand to sit on them very long without ability to shuffle aeound much. Im hoping a trike will let me move around more since it wont effect the actual steering of the machine. Get what i mean? I could turn sideways for awnile if i needed to lol 😂. Thats my theory anyhow. Im gonna start shopping this coming spring
Not a bad idea! We have a blog section on our website with past routes, eats, and stays etc. We're working on updating it as time goes on, as we've fallen a bit behind, but lots of rides on there to see and follow along with 👍
We use the Cardo Packtalk Bold headsets and will soon be upgrading to their new "Edge" model. We've used various brands in the past few years and have found the Cardos to get the job done for the requirements we need. All hands-free and voice activated, no buttons needed to talk to each other, pretty solid battery life, Siri capable etc. We had issues with group pairing with other devices in the past and these have been seamless. Hope that helps 🤙
Bell or nada! They've definitely become our favorite lids, that's for sure. We appreciate the continued support, Ray! Glad you're enjoying the content 👍
Yea love my 2019 freewheeler 114 turn 65 this year but still have and ride my 2016 Honda Stateline 1300 the chopper style bike raked front end total factory stock its the HARLEY DAVIDSON wannabe v-twin shaft drive water cooled rider for over 30 years WOOO HOOO !! Katy,Texas
Awesome to see LC riding again! Been watching y’all’s TH-cam for awhile now and it finally convinced me to trade in my Dyna for a bagger. Can’t wait to take some trips on it. We’ve got some great roads here in TN where I live. Would love to see y’all down this way. See y’all down the road.
Glad to be back on the road for sure! Lance is back on two wheels now, after returning the trike, and absolutely loving it! Thanks for the support, Gabriel! We're glad you're enjoying the vids. We can't wait to make it out to do some riding in TN, hopefully later in the year. Thanks Gabriel, see ya down the road!
I love my trikes! The boss trike still scares me to death but the price was right. Some time's I seriously can't help myself,eh, oh,lol! I got told you can't can't ride anymore! Oh well, shyt the bed!
Hey there, Peter! Thanks for the support. It really depends. We try to service the bikes every 3,500 miles or so. Some trips are only 1,000 miles, and some are much longer, so we plan accordingly. If we had 2k miles on the oil, and had a 4,000 mile trip coming up, we'd certainly change the oil before that. Hope that helps! Ride safe 👍
Yup, that makes sense. Maybe you could get some lowers and/or fork deflectors installed to help with some of the wind coming up. Thanks for watching, Mike!
Trike better than a cage for sure! Glad like everyone to see Lance up and out in the wind! Looking forward to seeing the video from next week's trip. Be safe out there guys!
@@2LaneLife If you have the time, I have one more question. Are there much left on RT. 66, as far as any businesses that survived or even neat, old ruins? I've always wanted to take this ride but don't know if there's enough history left to make it worth the trip
@@maximumoverdrive2132 Oh yea! There's tons of historical sites along the way, as well as businesses and stores. Some have died out, some are thriving, and some are getting by. We have a video series from 2020 where we traveled the entire route and stopped by many of these places. Then, this year, we visited a few individual towns and took an in-depth look at the history and heard many stories on how it has been running a business on Route 66, especially during these tough times. Lots of info in those if you want to check them out! th-cam.com/play/PLYdZUC3ASy-jfiD23ZMgeXzgHmOMYsNer.html
Desperate times made for desperate measures. We had to get that trike somehow 😂. In Section 14b of the legal code, there are exemptions against prosecution for such acts 😂
An inexperienced strike Rider should not try to keep up with a guy on a two-wheeler until he knows what he's doing. He is overriding his skills. Remember trikes can fall over just like a kitty trike like in laugh in.
Stop leaning …it’s not going to do you any good…rookie….oh yea..what’s that lane splitting thing your doing…must be a Cal thing…illegal as hell where I’m from.
Bought a Harley trike , rode it for a season. I’m back on two wheels till I can’t ride anymore. The trike sucked for me and my wife didn’t like it either. Harley needs to go with independent suspension.
@@Glyder1959 Agreed. Fine if you are disabled or it's your only way to ride because of poor health. Mines well be in a convertible if you're going to be on 3 wheels at least that would be safer probably cost less or the same.
Lane splitting in in fact not illegal here and has been proven time and time again to be safer for riders and lessen traffic congestion on roadways. Thanks for your input.
I ride a Harley Freewheeler and I love it!!! I personally don't understand why people have a problem with a trike, you're face is in the wind and knees in the breeze. The name of the game is to have fun. Enjoy that wind therapy. Stay safe.

100%. Same with us. We have a 23 Freewheeler and love it. Many years of physical problems got me off 2 wheels but 3 is just great.
Enjoyed the Tri-Glide video, after 50+ years of riding on two wheels I switched to three. It's still riding but the wife and I really miss two wheels.
When riding a trike, you got to remember how wide you are at the rear. Lane position in traffic is important, and be careful whe pulling up to gas pumps. Rear fenders are expensive!
Indeed! Definitely a different setup to get used to!

Thanks so much for the support, we appreciate that!! We're glad you're enjoying the adventures. See you down the road😎
Boss Hoss trike? If so, that's wild!!
would like for you guys to follow up on "Roger" when he gets it completed.
Haha that would be awesome! We'll have to check in with him in a few months. Thanks for watching, Johnny 👍
GEEKS ON GLIDES without a doubt .
THAT'S HOW WE DO IT!
best way i tell people how to ride one is like riding a big ATV without power steering. wife loves her's since bought new in 2012.
That's a good way to put it! Thanks for watching, Ray 👍
Nuts to Butts is a true test of friendship!
😀
😂🤘
Hi guys love your vlogs we watch them all here in Australia.Question do you service the bikes after each trip
Ride safe 👍
LC is back 👍🏻
Back in business!!
I like my trike but I'm in ut and when it's cold I don't like the wind that comes up around the gas tank. Wish I could find something to block it
Yup, that makes sense. Maybe you could get some lowers and/or fork deflectors installed to help with some of the wind coming up.
Thanks for watching, Mike!
Life is good! See you down the road!
That's right!! Thanks for watching. See ya down the road ✌
would a trike be able to cover parts of the Nevada trip? Since some parts are dirt roads.
Paved dirt roads shouldn't be a problem. Just depends on the road conditions
👍 always a pleasure to watch your videos 😍🤩 ✌
Thanks Marco!! 🙌
Love is Good 🤙🏼
🙌
Trike better than a cage for sure! Glad like everyone to see Lance up and out in the wind! Looking forward to seeing the video from next week's trip. Be safe out there guys!
Oh yea!! Great times out in the wind. We can't wait to share the rip up the coast...see you there!
Just love these vids
Thanks Sonnedude!!
Looks like the map skips right over Kansas' Rt. 66.
🤔
@@2LaneLife I didn't see any towns/cities listed like other states. No biggie. I know 66 basically only goes through a small stretch.
@@maximumoverdrive2132 yup, probably just a basic map for decoration

🤘🤘👍👍
Welcome to the family!
Nice
Thanks for watching, Byron! 👍
i ride a trike . You you don't lean into turns like would do on a 2 wheel bike You shift your weight
Thanks for the tip Mark! Ride safe 👍
@@2LaneLife if you ever watch motorcycle side car races you will see what i mean by shifting your weight vs leaning into turns
멋져요 ❤🇺🇸👍
Worst passenger is a rider!
😂😂😂
Motor bi-cycle = motorcycle.
Motor tri-cycle = motorcycle.
;)
S
2 wheels or 3, it's all a good time! 👍
Wait a minute, two guys on one bike? You must be new to the biker lifestyle. Thats not allowed! LOL!
😂
So a trike is not a motorcycle?.
Who said that?
At 20.08 in the video.

2022cvo trygide reviews
Don’t know, we haven’t had the chance to look at one.
Don`t you guys know there is a Federal Law. That makes it illegal to have 4 balls on 2 wheels. LOL
Desperate times made for desperate measures. We had to get that trike somehow 😂. In Section 14b of the legal code, there are exemptions against prosecution for such acts 😂
@@2LaneLife ahhh there you go again... pulling out references to the penal code... :) are you sure that said prosecution and not prostitution?
@@damerkman 😂😂😂
I have screeming eagle 110 2014
Awesome! Great bike
Buy a Can-Am first...
Freewheeler 2019 more freewheers
🤘
what do you call it when your passenger is female? lips to cheeks???
😂😂
An inexperienced strike Rider should not try to keep up with a guy on a two-wheeler until he knows what he's doing. He is overriding his skills. Remember trikes can fall over just like a kitty trike like in laugh in.
Stop leaning …it’s not going to do you any good…rookie….oh yea..what’s that lane splitting thing your doing…must be a Cal thing…illegal as hell where I’m from.
Yup, new to the whole trike thing. It was an interesting experience but glad to be back on 2. Lane splitting is legal here. Thanks for watching.
Trikes suck.
OMG shut up
Go mow your lawn
Splitting lanes is illegal your giving riders a bad rap😮
Lane splitting in in fact not illegal here and has been proven time and time again to be safer for riders and lessen traffic congestion on roadways. Thanks for your input.
I also ride a trike but riding the stipes in traffic is the reason most people don't have any respect for riders ... come on guys
It’s legal there 🤦
@eranmaron909 didn't say it wasn't legal.. read what I wrote and quit reading things into it.. geesss
