wow, that guy really does call after you place the order, that is super nice of him. I couldn't imagine trying to do that for all my customers. super impressive
If he's still only charging $30.00 for these, it's the best bargain in gun leather. I use a Sticky brand holster for pocket carry, and they cost about $30.00. I'm very happy with Sticky Holsters, but I'd gladly also support an American small business like Mika's.
Your original video convinced me to get a Mika’s pocket holster. The craftsmanship is amazing. And the customer service too! I couldn’t believe when Mr. Mika actually called me after I placed the order and talked to me about what I wanted in the holster. Very nice man for sure!
I had the same experience. He called me up and we talked for a few. He had some encouraging words for me as I was a rookie Sheriff’s Deputy at the time and he is a retired cop. Great guy!
I ordered a Mika pocket holster last night for my S&W 642. Literally, 10 seconds after I hit the “place order” button my phone rings. It’s Mr. Mika thanking me for my order. We spoke for about 5 minutes about guns and holsters. Nice man.
I agree, custom is the way to go if it's an option. Great points about square vs. round cut bottoms, too. Such a minor thing can make all the difference to an efficient pocket carry system.
I have several.....J frames and for a Shield. Very good and I like the way he personalizes them by writing your name and the gun model inside. He also calls you when you place the order.....at least he did me. A+
I own a custom hand made leather shop. I must say that Mika is a nice guy and a low cost holster. I keep one of my J frames in his holster for the memories of him being a nice person. That counts.
I finally ordered one. The owner/maker called 5 minutes later and had i 10 minute conversation. Super nice and down to earth. I am sure i will be buying more.
Just checked and I still have 3 Mika holsters from back in the 80s or so. Two are pocket holsters. One for my 442 and the other for my 3913. The other is an ancient IWB for my 3913. Great holsters that I have had and will have forever! PS: Mine are so old they do not have that center band.
I'm about to order a 442 and was looking at a Sticky holster for pocket carry, but I think I'll go with one of these instead. At ~$30 these seem to be a great value, especially for an American made product from a small business.
My Mika’s square shaped has survived two years of on duty back up carry on my off side cargo pocket. I have a second one that is rounded for front pocket which gets much less attention. I think I’ll purchase a couple more for my J-Frame just to ensure I have a backup. I’ll probably buy one for the LCR I have on my want list just to make sure I get one before he retires. Great holsters!
Being semi-retired; my clothes has changed a lot. Almost all of the pants or shorts that I wear do not accommodate a square bottom holster as well as a round bottom one. True a square bottom one can appear to print like it's a wallet; but with a J-frame revolver a squared bottom holster makes it ride higher. Thus showing a bit of the revolvers grip from time to time. So I prefer the round bottom ones nowadays.
I pocket carry my J Frame in a Blue Force pocket holster mostly b/c it’s so thin & light, not pulling down my jeans or making a lump imprint in my pocket.
I never had a problem with the DeSantis pocket holsters, your right with it collapsing with the j frame but it was always fine with the sig p238 with reholstering but it's a thin gun too
I appreciate how long and how well you’ve documented your S&w j frame carrying experience. 10yrs worth? I just started carrying a 360pd. Had an lcr but replaced it with a p365xl. Now back to a j frame because it is much easier to carry than the lcr and p365xl, but mostly because I’m now one of those ppl who technically need to use a pistol brace.
Hey Ol1911 > if your the same one I kept in touch with years ago > "howdy howdy don't get rowdy" lol. Didn't you used to work for Armored Car service? Anyway, enjoyed this video. Hope all's well with you. God Bless.
Do you have any recommendations on carrying a blued jframe sized holster that won’t wear off the bluing ? Been a subscriber since 2017 I was a kid when I saw your publication. Now I have a family of my own ❤
I’ve used several of the big name pocket holsters until I discovered Blue Force Gear pocket holster for my s&w 340pd and ruger lcp. It’s absolutely the lightest , thinnest and best pocket holster I’ve used . I’ll never use those big puffy holsters again . Why buy a small light gun and use a big holster in your pocket ???

I've ordered 4 different Mika pocket holsters since your original video. Worth every penny. Great product. Amazing customer service.
do you like the square and round cut? I can't come to terms with what I should get.
I liked the rounded better for jeans.
I finally ordered one. The owner/maker called 5 minutes later and had i 10 minute conversation. Super nice and down to earth. I am sure i will be buying more.
Great video as always. Very thorough explanation of the fit of round vs square. Thanks!
Mika’s makes an outstanding product at a great value

Love the wheel gun videos & glad you’re excited about doing them. I pocket carry so I’ll go check these out.
Great holsters I have one for my Kahr P380 and my J-frame the owner seems like a really good guy.

Love the j frame stuff. I have owned most concealed carry firearms and keep going back to a j frame

Hey man, thanks for the j frame vids. This is excellent content

Where did u find a Blue Force pocket holster for your J-frame? I just looked at their website and all i see is holsters for automatics.
Maybe things changed since I got mine, but I ordered it from their web site.
Best ever pocket holster on the market ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
I never had a problem with the DeSantis pocket holsters, your right with it collapsing with the j frame but it was always fine with the sig p238 with reholstering but it's a thin gun too
I pocket carry a j-frame the tuff roo pocket holster & daltech PP3 pocket holster are decent options
That was an amazingly useful video. Thank you!

Just got a Mika holster for a S&W 442 it is great !
They are outstanding!
3:23 I think it’s due to how the pocket is made , like some pockets are square and other round .

Yo, it'd be so satisfying if you carried a s&w model 69 44 magnum... I'd love to hear your thoughts on this xD
Been looking for a pugnose. I love revolvers.
Got one on the way
Good vid. My problem is all the pocket holsters I have are too thick and overall bulky. How do these compare to Nemesis in bulk?

Check out A-Holster kydex pocket holster I love it I use more than my Mika. I also use ergo delta grip on my 442

Pocket holsters print so bad. My muscley legs don't help matters.
