This is a little tiny thing, but I love that you faced all your dollars the same way. It's something I was taught as a kid by my aunt and as a cashier, it's always stuck with me.
I worked as a bank teller in the early 80s and ALWAYS had to turn my bills in the same direction. 😂

Wow does this bring back memories of days gone by. I remember the Avon lady coming right to our door , trying samples , sipping tea and feeling so pampered.Things were much simpler and affordable then. Loved this video , thank you so much

Just lovely. One of the things I think is underrated in ASMR is conversational chatting. You do this very well. You talk naturally and let us imagine the other side of the chat. You don't overexplain to force home the point. Very very nicely done.

I think it must be a common denominator, that those of us who like Sherri probably like Diane as well, and vice versa. 😅 I discovered Diane among the first ASMRtists I did, and Sherri is a more recent discovery hitting a similar spot.
The after bath powder container is something I still have that my grandmother used. After she passed away it was one of only a few items I asked to have as I remember this from when I was a child at her house.

It sure does. I remember being absolutely addicted to Avon. I LOVED my Sweet Honesty perfume in a deer-shaped bottle.

Yeah, the sachets. 😍 My fave, too. Fortunately, you can easily find them on Etsy and eBay, if you like. Dealers unearth them in estate sales.

All of your videos are great! What I loved about this video compared to the others is that you incorporated a ton of textures. While using the textures you spoke at the same time the layering of the sounds is beautiful. Hearing the big Avon purse with the crinkling of of the brown bag. Visually I loved the angle and the uniqueness of each sachet, they are too cute! I hope that helps! ❤

Flashback to HS home economics & my utter lack of talent in sewing classes & having a mean, critical teacher. I can sew a button on to this day, but not much else 🤷🏼♀️
I had exactly the same experience in junior high school when it came to sewing…
Home Ec for me was similar but for different reasons. My mom had already taught me to sew, and so I was used to using her short cuts and such. I kept wanting to rebel when the teacher wanted me to follow the rules. 😂😂

It seems like Avon created Cream Sachet. I think the draw was it provided something beautiful to put on top of your dresser and you’d have a pretty keepsake later with the containers. Otherwise, most people would either use regular perfume. I can’t imagine the fragrance would last long after application. Maybe it did. Why did people put powder on after a bath? Wouldn’t that just dry the skin and kind of make a mess on the bathroom floor?
I think people would put the powder on after oil or lotion. I know, kind of counter intuitive, but I still think it’s charming to have bath time rituals like that.
You’re probably right about cream sachet. And like any company, Avon had to create demand for more, which is probably why the fragrances came in so many forms. I mean, what’s the difference between talcum powder and body powder? Two different containers? 😂😂

😂 Only one 5 on the table, which she gave me. I gave back 2.82-but the way I did it, I counted UP from 2.18 (what she owed) to 5 (what she gave me). That’s the way people used to make change if they didn’t have a cash register telling them what to give back. In the end, I put the 5 in my billfold. Make sense?
