Myself (Dan Hendriksen PGA Pro), Lester Barnes (Scratch Handicap), Will Farley (Pro) and Lee Whittaker (13 Handicap) have been invited to play and stay at the wonderful Manor & Ashbury Hotels near Okehampton, Devon in South West England.
With 99 holes of golf, all on one site, the Ashbury is accredited as the ninth largest golf resort in the world. No other English golf course provides a better combination of stunning scenery and exceptional challenge than the acclaimed Ashbury Golf Resort. Located in the heart of one of the most captivating areas of the Southwest, the hotel delivers spectacular views of Dartmoor across the rolling Devon countryside towards Exmoor.
In this vlog we will be playing Beeches course which is a course that plays just under 6000 yards and is a par 68. Lester and Lee have decided to take on the Pro's Myself and Wilbur in a fourball better ball match play event.

Got behind in my viewing watching the PGA Championship! Back to the Bus Tour now which I prefer! Side note we can finally join the rest of the world and golf again here in Ontario 🇨🇦! Also it was a holiday here yesterday so now it’s time to watch 👍🏻

Glad you've done one of these for Beeches. Really liked the last two you filmed at Oakwood and Kigbeare. Fingers crossed for the pines next, another lovely course. Off to Ashbury for a 4 ball in September thankfully :-)
Jordan. Standard signals are; Thumbs up, good shot. Five fingers is short (there are 5 letters in short), Four fingers is long (there are 4 letters in long). Arms point whether left or right.

This looks like it's shaping up to be a great match - nice to see a dry course! See Wilbur is squeezing in a quick warm up tournament before Harleyford - +3 today in what were tricky conditions - best of luck tomorrow!

Wilbur’s Bracken. Lee’s Members bounce . It’s like the boys have never been away. Tour is back on. Plenty of banter, trying to wind up DH with his score on West Cornwall.....glad he didn’t rise to the bait. Then Dan says “ we’ve been blessed with some weather recently! It’s thunder and lightning in S Wales today!!

Use the “safe” sign from baseball if it’s in play, point left if it’s gone to the left and right if it’s gone to the the right. A cupped hand up then over the top and down is in the water

Looks like a fun course, really must head South for a round or two, perhaps whilst our course is being used for the SW Counties championships next month.

Lovely golf on a lovely course. The whole place is great lots to do for everyone. Would love to go back one day.
Looks like another fun track! Since it’s Lee’s place he should be using his France handicap I think! Jordan since you’re in a cart a lot, let’s get some activity while you’re out there. Good shot is 5 jumping jacks, lost ball is 5 squats!
Jordan, just carry around a bunch of flags... XD. Green for good, Yellow for rough, red for oob.

Was the second hole a par 3 or a really sort downhill par 4 the fly over was saying par 4 but the distance made me think its a par 3 and trust Lee to be the guy to say one when Wilburs ball fell off the tee 😂🤦♂️
You should have Jordan do the PGA signals for safe sign and out of bounds signal
Touchdown sign for a great shot. Safe sign for an acceptable shot. Hand on top of head for a bad shot and bad position. Arms crossed making an X for ball gone.
Lester must be the only one who watches Lee's channel. Giving him 11 strokes is a crime. Lee is out on The Beeches Course everyday making pars and birdies. Dan and Will are going to need that 59 better ball, I think.
All I’ll say is every day is different 🙈😂👍
3/4 of his handicap would be a generous number in a 4 ball. 11 0r even 12 shots is a theft and foul play. Certainly not the fair play that golf should be.

Jordon why not use cricket umpire signals. Just decide between you what each stands for. eg wide signal missed green, out signal unplayable or out of bounds, six, great shot near pin, four signal on green but not close 👍🏻

Good to see WIlbur getting a bit stroppy on the 1st tee about the yardage, he's getting into full competition mode ready for tomorrow. Have you been feeding him raw meat Dan ? The first part was the funniest yet for chat and then Jordan stole it with a work class badge on the back feat, not an easy one to pull off and brave to try it on the big man ! Sorry I didn't watch yesterday Dan, I apologise, won't happen again !!

There are a few hand signals available, but not for use on this channel, lol
Good Shot = Raise the Roof, Bad Shot = Incomplete Pass Signal (American Football), IF they it close to you = Flip them the Bird :-)
Playing better ball? So far everyone seems to be playing their own one. I have missed something due to my lack of knowledge.
Better ball is the best score of the 2 balls your pair plays.
