Myself (Dan Hendriksen PGA Pro), Lester Barnes (Scratch Handicap), Lee Whittaker (9 Handicap) and Will Farley (Pro) have been invited to play and stay at the wonderful Manor & Ashbury Hotels near Okehampton, Devon in South West England.
With 99 holes of golf, all on one site, the Ashbury is accredited as the ninth largest golf resort in the world. No other English golf course provides a better combination of stunning scenery and exceptional challenge than the acclaimed Ashbury Golf Resort. Located in the heart of one of the most captivating areas of the Southwest, the hotel delivers spectacular views of Dartmoor across the rolling Devon countryside towards Exmoor. Our premier Kigbeare course is a 6528 yard, par 72 course which is widely considered among the most unforgettable golf experiences.
In this course vlog we will be starting on the friendly Oakwood Course which many guests favour to play as its sets them up for a great stay at the resort.

Love this course. Not played it in nearly 20yra though when I was on a golf holiday at the Manor House Hotel which the ashbury Hotel is part of that complex albeit 1 mile away. Love love it. Won't 2 comps that week

Played here a couple of years back. This was my favourite course of the lot - neat little layout. P.s. get that buggy off the grass! Stick to paths at all times at Manor House Ashbury 🤣
We go to this place every year! Its a Fantastic resort, and the buffet food is great, Kigbeare is my favorite track there! Great to see some old pros tear these tracks up!!

i went to ashbury resort last year and drove the 451 golf buggy, i am going again this year!

Another great video. The only problem for us mere mortals, is having to keep buggies on the paths. Can be one heck of a walk to the other side of the fairway with three clubs in hand. Im assuming you got dispensation as your were filming , what is effectively a promo for the place.

You focused on Lester (glad he’s back) when you mentioned celebrations then you started talking about him making his put.

You can tell Lester is a modern man, he did his bit 9 months ago !! Blimey Lester, Torquay must be 20 years behind the rest of the country ! Wilber fits in well, he likes his chat just like the rest of you ! However, his golf backs it up !

We need courses like this in the US. I have been playing golf for over 25 years in the USA and have played literally hundreds of courses all over the USA and I can't ever remember playing a par 4 that was under 300 yards and you already had 2 of them in the first 3 holes! Is that a normal thing in the UK (unfortunately, I have never been overseas to play golf)? Maybe it is because we have a lot of land over here or that most of our courses are much newer when the equipment was better so the designers never even thought about that type of reachable par 4...not sure but I would love it.
And, Dan, you played in Florida when you went to school. How many reachable par 4's did you play in college?
A lot of the courses in the UK are shorter than what you would get in the US. This complex is designed for golfers to enjoy rather than be beaten up by the course, lots of fun 👍 thanks for watching and commenting

It's a flightscope Mevo. I had one but found I rarely used it so I decided to sell it. Good bit of kit although I did find the driver carry to be a little low when compared to Trackman
