    Excellent information. Thank you.
    My air filter sponge was completely disintegrated and the crumbs were lying in the bottom of the canister. Thankfully there is also a wad of material in the bottom that prevents the sponge particles from entering the compressor and the control valves.
    I believe this collapsed filter caused the suspension warning to activate on my LR4. The compressor soon failed completely- probably due to the stress of a restricted filter.
    My vehicle had only very recently been serviced by a LR dealer. Obviously they did not inspect that air filter.

      Hello Gerry! You're welcome ☺️ I've noticed that independent garages know more than Land Rover dealers and their garages, so I'm not surprised that they didn't change the filter. I hope your LR4 or your air suspension works better now! All the best and many greetings! 👈

      Hey, thanks for the info, I had to check right away! In my case, however, only the sponge is in this container. Do you happen to know what the spare part number of this felt is? Thank you and best regards, Peter

    • @dementorum
      @dementorum ปีที่แล้ว

      @@notthatkindofachannel put your finger inside the tube after you remove the sponge and if you feel the hole on the bottom of the tube then you dont have the felt. If you find the felt remove it whit the tip of the screwdriver or tweezer. That felt can be washed and dried whit a towel. ( that is what i did). I dont know the part number for that. I did what i saw in your video and by curiosity i checked to see if the inside of the tube is clean and i founded the felt.🤣

    This is the first time I have found out about such a filter. Foam disintigrates and turns to powder after a few years - so - personally I would replace this filter every couple of years at every major service.

    • @notthatkindofachannel
      @notthatkindofachannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Land Rover 3 : Since there is not that much dirt or dust in the side pockets of the trunk, I think washing it with warm water and a little soap is enough. Otherwise, this sponge would not cost much. So it depends on what you prefer 😉☺️
