Imagine if every time you play from games you had somebody telling you the lore this nicely.

Great run and great work from all those involved. I especially enjoyed the commentary and I wish every run had a “lore commentator” that would explain the story parts of the games along with the technical stuff and her enthusiasm really enhanced the commentary from Berto
We wanted to have lore for all areas, but there's so much info we wanted to discuss, and some worlds are just to short to add anything substantial :( But yeah the snippets of lore were great

SGDQ just ended, which means it's time to go back to the beginning and watch all the runs I missed!
Surprised it's taken me this many years to actually watch a Demon's Souls run - excited to see what runners end up doing with the remake!
I heard that game is as hard as Dark Souls! Kappa
I love gdq it's a shame there's not the audience but still just a fun and amazing event

An amazing run, but can we get an incentive "Save the Maiden in Black?" because the final cutscene of that ending hurts my souls
But it just feels so good to be bad.....
Going by the lore (theories), she very may well be the most evil character in the game. She's the reason you're able to utilize souls for more power. She's the only one capable of "lulling the Old One" back to sleep. So while the Player Character takes advantage of the situation by nature of dubious morality, you may be killing the one responsible for creating the Fog to begin with (in cooperation with the Old One). I encourage you to take a look! Very interesting stuff.
I submitted a bid war incentive for the ending but because it was first run, they decided not to :(
20 minutes into the run and I'm happy the event seems to be going well so far. I wasn't sure how well it would work online-only but so far, so good.
The first area took me 6 hours on my first playthrough. This man does it in 4 minutes
This is going to be a very productive work week

Damn, I forgot about losing half health when you die. Damn, this game was tough.
I only ever beat it because my friend came in and helped me on some of the levels... And I cheesed a LOT of enemies (and bosses for that matter) with a shield\spear combo.

Such gloomy memories of playing this game, much more atmospheric than Dark Souls imo and Dark Souls was still atmospheric.

The item dupe reminds me of the dupe trick in the Gamecube version of Phantasy Star Online.

I've always loved Demon's Souls's lore and atmosphere even more than Dark Souls's. It's a shame circumstances made it unviable to make a sequel to it.

You can kill maiden astraea from the entrance fog gate with an arrow. Why don't they do that?

still a wonderful game. actually like it better than any subsequent game.
Glad I'm not the only one. I could never get into the Dark Souls games as much as this.
I hate games where enemies aggressively attack you when you get near them but if you miss they don't follow you. Which is it: you're so aggressive that you want to kill me on sight? Or you're too lazy to follow me? Because those 2 elements of AI seem contradictory and make the enemies and game seem silly.
