I love the explanation of the feet placement for the fitting (tsukuri) which makes it more natural for beginners. When it comes the pull (hiki-te) for the kids I teach I remind them that this is still a hand (Te) technique and to think about bringing the hand over to the other side near their hip and to turn their wrist/hand like they are opening up a doorknob. This way uke has their shoulder pulled across and their body naturally turns to help finish the throw.
Outstanding demonstration of Tai Otoshi. I love this technique and ...the more I watch this video, the more I see ( for myself) it is lots of room to boost my tai otoshi. Thank you for this video!
I'd like to understand the Kumite a bit more; it looks similar to Uchi Mata but there must be subtle differences. I have been working on my Uchimata but am continuing to have difficulty with it. In the meantime, my Taiotoshi got pretty good so I'm wondering what I'm doing with my hands incorrectly for Uchi Mata that it has helped my Taio!
I have seen this technique done with both hands on the arm being pulled of the opponent. Instead of one hand on the lapel and one on the sleeve. Is that incorrect?
No disrespect about your question my friend, if you look carefully at the video and pause as much as you want ...you can see how tsurite and hikite works all the way down to the throw.
@@hodgsoncatalin3243 i know but i was talking that it was a great analysis on what other parts of Tori's body and legs do but no mention of what the hands do to finish the technique . It clear shows it ,but there is no mention about it.For that i am talking about. It is a great video
