After the injury whey were definitely needed as HHH, the returning xpoc and China probably wouldn’t have been able to keep the momentum going at that pace by them selves. I think it’s important to remember that prior to teaming with Shawn, Hunter was a stuck in the mid card and DX was he’s break into the main event. The addition of the outlaws helped him keep going without Shawn but I do sometimes wonder what would peak DX would have been like if Shawn hadn’t gotten injured.

The WWF Attitude Era was such a perfect storm of wrestling talent and roster evolution. Such a shame that the industry will likely never see another Golden Age like that.
and due to how sterilized the product is from both action and verbal communication due to safety and censorship, we never will, even if the best possible wrestlers in the world end up in the same place.
No body got over like the New Age Outlaws. The crowd was insane when their music would start. Everyone would do the call and response. They made wrestling fun again. The smiles of me and my high school friends when those two would could put will never be that big again.
Billy Gunn is, imo, one of the most underrated and underused singles wrestlers. He was king of the ring at one point. He should have been a world heavyweight champ even if it’s for a split second and he loses it to a money in the bank winner. His fame”ass”er is one of the best finishers ever. I wish Matt Dickie would include it in his games
Billy Gunn used to ride bulls for my grandpas rodeo company and was friends with my dad and uncles, so I’ve always been partial to him. Like he was part of the family. But that aside, he’s a phenomenal talent.

Got away with it? Back then loads of wrestlers wore a shirt or some sort of upper body clothing . It wasn’t abnormal to see . Infact it was after the droz incident that they started to ban wrestlers from wearing baggy clothing as may have been the cause for dlo brown losing his grip and dropping him on his neck when going for the running powerbomb
As a kid when I seen them wearing the south park shirts I was instantly a fan. The South Park shirts helped get them over the show was a few years old and exploding.
The New Age Outlaws represented that change of the guard in the team division from gimmick oriented personalities to a much more rogue and ultimately realistic depiction of the anti-establishment, fantastic video, this and OSW are my fave wrestling videos
You're videos are just so good to put on and listen to whilst I play Warzone or something. Honestly, keep it up because you have quickly became one of my fav youtube channels.
Still one of my favorite teams to date and a prime example of playing to the talent's strengths. Road Dogg was the mouth and stick man, the guy who could get the crowd fired up. Billy was the physicality and power, a solid journeyman worker. That they had both in ring and backstage chemistry and could play off each other so well made their oddball paring gel perfectly. Drizzle a great hook like "The New Age Outlaws" and let them do their thing and magic was made. It can be a tricky alchemy to be sure but it could be done again.
Yes you uploaded and plus one of my favorite all time tag teams! Please keep uploading and your videos not only makes me really want to go back to watching old WWF/E matches but also keeps me sane from the unfortunate times we're living in now.

Only saw WWF live twice, saw Hogan slam Earthquake in Glens Falls and I was in the 6th row when the Outlaws joined DX at the Pepsi Arena (now Times Union Center) in Albany, NY. I vividly remember the bruises covering Terry Funks back.
October 11th 1997 gave us one of the coolest tag team in wwf history and 2 days later on october 13th dx would officially give themselves the stable it name.
From memory of forums I remember seeing that Shawn Michaels apparently said “we can do something with them” during their feud with the Road Warriors. Probably where Bruce got that from
YES! I did watch the episode on RAW when i was a kid where the NAO were "recruited" by DX after the dumpster match with Foley. That segment went past midnight as RAW loosely starts at 9 PM PT. Sean and HHH were like the devil making them an offer they cant refuse. It was "yeah, they're hurt but who cares. You had to do what you had to do. We need people like you" lol
Road Dogg went from having short hair to having long braids over night. I didn't realize he also had the braids in WCW. Makes me wonder if the WCW braids were also fake... probably.
Road dogg said the whole Mr ass gimmick came along cause him and Foley walked in on Billy standing in front of a mirror staring and flexing his butt. Billy said he started doing it regularly in back to make guys laugh.
