There is something that I am missing here... Why do I want to switch to a faster pair of shoes? If I wore this pair if shoes and clocked a faster race, wouldn't the fact that this pair of shoes made me faster taint my progress, because I knew that at least some of the improvement in my race time was because of the shoes, and not because of my increased fitness?
It's a great question Bruce and part of the bigger debate about how far technology should go vs keeping the sport of running "pure", i.e. just our efforts. But keep in mind a few things: 1) track times drastically improved when we moved from cinder tracks to recycled rubber 2) advances in recovery tools, compressions, nutrition supplements, have also helped us improve. Should we ditch those things too just because they're better? There are no key answeres here, but we like how author and runner Alex Hutchinson talks about these advances, esp as he covered the Nike breaking 2 project!

Very bright orange i like it.. i'd love to try it but the price is just not ideal for me..

Unfortunately the local tracks have been closed all spring in nor cal so we haven’t gotten to run with them on the track yet.

Do you think this shoe is in some ways an evolution of the legendary Brooks T7 racers ?
Is that the earlier Brooks model that had a carbon plate in it? Then if so yes!
the original T7 was super light but had no plate, amazing race shoe

I personally feel a bit uncomfortable with all these types of shoes that restrict your foot/bodies natural movement.
