Thanks mate, you released this vid at just the right time, I am just about to have a go at the threadies. Been doing alright on the bass and want to step up, the upper reaches of the Brisbane river are so nice. Thanks.
No, I haven’t so far actually. I’m sure it would be a good technique whilst you’re on the side scan locating schools. Might help pick up a single here and there.
Ty....I think that your comment to me " then you'll simply have to watch the ads" is a bit arrogant. I'm not going to pay you guys for a premium subscription then have to pay extra to NOT see the ads. There is a simple way NOT to watch the ads. I won't watch the videos. QED
Mate, I would love to watch your video but the increasing you-tube practice of ads on these little videos is something that really turns me off. As soon as an ad interupts the vidoe, I move on. If an ad appears before video, I don't bother watching. I know its not you but there's increasing watcher resistance to these you-tube ads. Do you have an e-mail or f/book alternative, please?
TH-cam Premium $15AUD per month :D Creators rely on the ads to generate revenue mate. Once you get to 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours you can monetize your account. You, the creator, then get a share of revenue from the ads run on your videos. Support people like Josh who are spending their time creating content you enjoy and just sit through the ad. Rant over hahaha
Don't know who you are but there is no way that I'll pay to watch ads. If you make videos for you-tube then make them informative. There is a high % of fishermen who are simply looking for information. Beginners confused by the amount of misinformation, myth and bull...t that exists. Which expert do they listen to. Some are legitimate armchair fishermen who are unable to go fishing. My younger brother is now bedridden following a couple of strokes. Used to love fishing but can only now watch videos. Basically these guys don't know enough to ask the right questions. If they did, do you think that any/many of the current "experts" could honestly answer? I've dealt with quite a few of these guys (very well known) but mostly with local "experts". " "Nothing like experience" these latter guys like to say. The reality is that a claimed 30 years experience turns out to be 1 years experience 30 times over. Not a lot of value in that. Well known experts simply don't expect to be challenged. They should be 'cos they are part of the same problem. They rely on reputation to avoid challenge. The US bass scene is absolutely full of 'em. Aus has been following the trend. Most small capacity lure makers also fall into that category along with a couple of bigger ones. Research the tools that fish have evolved with over thousands.Water type, light etc. Look for the technical rules of physics underpinning the science. Become familar with terms that underpin ALL fishing. (like Von Karman Street, tapedum lucidum, neuromasts etc). Now MY rant is over. ronje1@optusnet.com.au if u want to talk a bit.
More often than not, but I have had success on the top of the tide with schooling fish on mud flats. I just normally find that on that higher part of the tide fish will thin out and graze more sparsely. Making it a bit harder to get a lure in their face.
@BrisVegasFishing yeah sweet I've got plenty of jew and threads out at the port during high tide but around ipswich where I live is mainly low tide, and that zerek top water lure ( pretty sure thats a barra - x is a go to for me as well in the river also md splash prawn. Good video for beginners
