Bottled Under a Full Moon - Ardbeg 19 Batch 4

Today I review the Ardbeg 19, Traigh Bhan Batch 4.
This batch has a higher content of oloroso sherry casks and is said to have bottled under full moon, whatever effect that might've had :)
19 years of maturation has tamed the smoke and fire of Ardbeg and turned it into a beautifully rounded, delicious dram.

Good review, despite the aroma description I look forward to trying it, LOL. Ardbeg has become one of my favorite distilleries. We visited Isla last summer, couldn't hear the sand singing, but it was a great place to visit- hope to go back.

Thank you, glad you liked it. I love Ardbeg when they're not lazy and/or go for marketing. All of the 19s I tried have been exceptionally good!
Wow how lucky to have visited Islay whether you heard the sands or not :) I'm planning a trip in September hopefully, which I'm so so excited about!

Love Ardbeg! I wish they’d spend more attention on their core range and be more cautious with their special releases. Some have not been great. When you spend $250 or $300 you want a quality single malt! Cheers!
